  1. This can't Be right http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-STARTER-YAMAHA-MOTORCYCLE-V-MAX-VMAX-VMX1200-1200-1999-2000-2001-2002-2003-/331334328631?fits=Year%3A1999%7CModel%3AVmax+1200&hash=item4d2510a137:g:egsAAOSwfcVUKvZo&vxp=mtr
  2. When I went to partzilla and was looking at the starter there it looked to only show 2 brushes under Yamaha xvz13adl.. is kinda why I asked because I would definately be looking to updating things on Marie. So should I just do search on Vmax to be sure..
  3. Wow I got told 250 for used one... Sent from my Z812 using Tapatalk
  4. How far are you from Tenn. I can go thru 4 states in a day where I live!!
  5. Those starters can be rebuilt for the most part your brushes may be worn. I don't know for sure and don't know where you would find the brushes. I had to get mine rebuilt cause I didn't want to mess it up and end up buying a new one. But I think we have 2 brush starters I Can't remember when they updated to 4 brush motors.
  6. Another difference We got this Guru here and she knows her stuff, The girls on the back of the harley be like wtf she just say a carburetor whats that.:think:
  7. I'm actually confused why the voltage would be less at the battery.
  8. I know I know... Sounds like you got a gremlin Knawing at your stuff. get yourself a gremlin Bell.. that will help.... But I would almost have to say its either battery or Rectifier. Here is something I learned heat messes with things so maybe use a blow dryer aimed at your Rectifier and the motorcycle running and check the voltage.. I mean its worth a shot, but it also sounds like a possible bad cell in your battery..
  9. Hey I just did that cause of what the @rbig1 said about first gens prolly having a hayday but that Oldsmobubbles does exist. Seen it up in Joplin thought it looked like a Dr Seuss mobile. The 3rd gen doesn't, I wished they would make one tho I would be interested in it. Sent from my Z812 using Tapatalk
  10. Yup it's kinda like trying to haul an engine with a wheel barrow Sent from my Z812 using Tapatalk

  17. That definitely doesn't look good and it is best to do thorough job!!! I have definitely learned that the hard way!! These machines; I would think if the engine turns there is definitely hope of having a very good running bike!! Sent from my TBQG774 using Tapatalk
  18. OK I'm correcting this as I have found out. I shouldn't be able to fire my bike so easily. You do need working chokes!!!! Like I said I'm no expert I'm learning myself, and I might add from the best group of people there is!!! Sent from my TBQG774 using Tapatalk
  19. I can't believe I missed that plate it the pusher Sent from my TBQG774 using Tapatalk
  20. Well When I reassembled everything I did set the screws all to 2 1/2 turns out. The guy that did my carburetors is gonna give her a tune for me.I was supposed to go out to his house tomorrow to have him do them for me. My Son decided I needed mufflers... . The truth is I do need them... the problem is the computer I set up for a shop computer was open on ebay.... so he decided to hit Buy It Now!!! My laptop on the other hand is full password protected. He comes upstairs to tell me daddy!! daddy!! I got you something for your motorcycle. The guy said they were good.... thank god they was cheap. Anyways, I will take it after I put my present on it might make it easier to tune it right, because one of my mufflers has a big Ol hole in front of the baffles.
  21. Makes sense... I would expect to have to hit choke after 4 days of sitting... But nope bump it it starts.. it's full choke on rebel after it sets for more then a day Sent from my Z812 using Tapatalk
  22. Country
  23. Ok the reason I am starting this one is: 1. When I first got my bike I would always have to choke it in the morning. Sometimes end up flooding it. 2. After Carbs were gone thru I have forgotten I have a choke. Bump the starter it fires Unless its warm it takes a little bit of a crank to start. 3. I have seen many say they have to use there chokes to start there bikes. 4. Shorty is a 250 Honda Rebel and if its less then 65 or so I have to use the choke, and Marie I don't. 5. Finally I am just curious is all so don't have to comment on thread. Basically Curiosity is Killing the Cat here.
  24. Love the Buick. very nice car...
  25. K Umm I couldn't help after Venture was said thinking Venture a Highway And all the sudden I Had Born to Be Wild going thru my head...
