Dropped while Pushing: CHECK. Dropped while going slow: CHECK. Dropped when Not Putting kickstand down: CHECK. Dropped while dropping it off center stand: CHECK!!! Gas Station Miss hap: Nope got DARNED LUCKY THAT TIME... but gas is like standing on Magic Bubbles.. My 83 has only seen crash bar landings so Um FLYING FOOL THESE BIKES DON'T HAVE WINGS.:whistling:

Frustrating is the fact I never just plugged the unit in first!! I always reassembled the dash and tested it after. Sent from my Z812 using Tapatalk

I have said it time and time again there is something funky with my dash. Well tonight I pulled it out and went thru it again!!! As I wanted to make sure it was working I just had the unit in my hand. Well as I plugged it in, turned the key on to check it I bumped the Black Wires that run from the print board to the Digital Display. All the sudden Bam it blanked out came back with Warnings. So I moved my fingers and bam it did it again. So then while I was holding it I just put some pressure on that ribbon and All warnings went away!!! So I'm like O.K. You son of biscuit eater is that the way you like it... So fine I wrapped some tape around the unit put it in the dash and called it good. Which explains why I would tap on the screen and it would come back on. If I hit a bump just right it would blank out on me. So hopefully it is the last time I will have to visit this issue.:scratchchin:

I don't know much but I will give just a tad of input.. Try to go diesel I have owned a rabit that had 288,000 on it. A friend owned a ford diesel it had around 300,000 on it, Then my girlfriends Uncle has a Chevy Van with almost 200,000 on it. They are older vehicles and I don't know what they put in Motor Homes but don't take my word on it. If I could have got a diesel Tahoe I would have! I would possibly google search the paticular one you get an eye on and look for reviews. That is just me tho, As I would also trust anyone of these guys with there honest Opinions too, I'm sure this may a whole new can of worms too... Kinda like our tire, oil, and what have ya threads. @bongobobny @Yammer Dan well they cleaned up pretty good now I need to repolish them as I should have done that after I put them on the bike.

It's easy just click the arrow pointing up and it will bring up the menu for camera file etc will post picture.

@bongobobny Just a question curious did you move your fuel filter? Mine is before the fuel pump mounted to the tank.

Yep and it sounds labored if you know what I mean; I had shut the gas off and it still made the clicking, just sounded sluggish

I know nothing but will say this.. You need to check the wires that @yamagrl showed you for one. Also it appears to me the Black wire is most generally ground, and while its a ground it almost looks like they use one main ground wire. I don't know the reasoning for this. I would also heed to what she also said about them being replaced as a set. Because if PO put on high output stator and left the R/R alone.. I would think if he did that then the R/R should have been changed out to match this. I have learned my lesson a long time ago I am not inferior to women; THEY ARE USUALLY RIGHT 85% of the time!!!!

Mine has zippey tie pin striping is that a mod:cool10: o and a cup holder after market cruise/throttle lock.
