  7. Your gonna need some silver bullets if you run into any werewolf's.. I wonder if gold bullets would take out any other oddities? Diamond is good for cutting but guess you would have the skill to make a cutter. If crap hits the fan I guess I would be stuck with bow and arrow. I can't own a gun cpt a muzzle loader... 8. Poor @Flyinfool I just wished they would say snow haven't seen much snow since the 2011 blizzard that dumped 35" of snow. Bought a 4-wheel drive and snow blower. Both no longer have the trani went out in Jimmy. The snow blower got smashed by the flu/chimney. So my luck we will get a ton of snow now that I am not prepared for it. Twist the handle and move!!!

  10. Mid 70's today and 48 tonight but it sure is nice riding weather. The deer are kinda thick now. Seen 5 doe yesterday saw the first one cross and slowed to a crawl and here came the other 4. Then today I seen 3 in a field kinda grazing. Another 2 down by the creek at the park. Maybe it's time to think about draining the carbs and tank. Or be on high alert for texters and deer. 11. Well I seen a BMW at Walmart. It has reverse and an electric stand. It was narrow enuff I would drive thru thick forest just as I would on a dirt bike. I am thinking I have seen all terrain tires for motorcycle's. Maybe I should have taken that box of MRE's over the weekend. Never had one myself but that could be useful. Canada Is looking pretty good. Maybe even Australia. Twist the handle and move!!!

  13. Trust me I looked at a ton of bikes 2 yrs ago but the first one I looked at was the Venture tucked in the corner of a carport. The guy who owned it was a vet/retired trucker. He was currently driving a medical bus. The reason he was selling it was his hip was bad. The funny thing is his daughter came out and asked what's wrong it acting up again. I blew it off because I fell in love with the bike. The only problem it had when I bought it was the headlight was dim and the fork seals leaked. It would have issue with starting and it cranked slowly when hot sometimes not starting till it cooled down. I had the permission from the Warden to buy a Harley. I looked at a couple and none really did it for me. I went out to local shop and looked at bikes there even a Gold wing trike, bleh just couldn't get past the front. So called the guy up and was like man I'll give you the 1350 if you can drive it to my house. The first thing I did was fixed the headlight and took it for my first ride on the road, I was moving up from a 150 scooter. I will say BIG BIG move.. took me a month to be comfortable to go 2 up. Needless to say there is something about the Venture can't put my finger on it but wow they are fun to ride. I am actually starting to look for another as a project. Twist the handle and move!!!
  14. Yeh I read the story there Twist the handle and move!!!
  15. I thought you were talking about the bluetooth playback thru the radio.
  16. Cool.. sounds like you have got almost a complete bike. I never realized just how much plastic was to one of these bikes till I took mine all apart trying to fix things.
  17. I got to ask How do you get it to play thru bluetooth with radio on? Also has anyone had problems with the map losing gps signal since Late July? I am starting to get frustrated with it. It also shows me side roads as I am going down the road with estimated new times like +/- minutes.
  18. Don't know if this will help you any but here is a picture of the crash bar and subframe I am not sure if yours will be the same or not. Yours is an 86 with updated saddle bags that open from the top.
  19. Its a long bolt in the center of the subframe I put the gas tank on and put this small bracket over the neck loosely. then I bring up the sub frame and put it up loosely. Then I Put the long bolt in and snug it.. Then I tighten everything else on. Hope this helps you decipher.
  20. I was told by Joplin Powersports that the don't touch bikes that are more then 15 yrs old due to it being a liability. I have no idea but there is to shops here in Neosho so I just take it to west 60. The one 6 blocks from me don't have the fine tune stuff, just the sync gauges. Twist the handle and move!!!

  23. Well I brought the bike home and removed the carbs myself and took them into the shop to be rebuilt. That saved me $400.00 right there. I thought at the time when I put them back on that I had a working carb sync. Went to calibrate my motion pro sync pro, and when I hooked it up the number 4 tube pulled most the fluid. But I was informed when I didn't turn my mix screw all the way in that caused the fluid to form bubbles. Everything in my carbs were either cleaned or replaced, minus the 2 screws that was missing from the jet block. I had taken the bike out to the guy because last he seen it it was running but like **** before the carb rebuild. He also heard the miss in the motor which him and I both thought it was bad coil or pick-ups. It turned out to be a bad cap. He then told me he set the idle screws to 2 turns out according to specs. That the idle mixture need to be set. I'm prolly gonna take it out to him in the next week or so to have him tweak the carbs. Twist the handle and move!!!
  24. Well I got to talk to the guy that rebuilt the carbs for the bike. He said that will probably need to be done because he turned them out 2 turns each. I had taken the carbs off for the rebuild. Twist the handle and move!!!
  25. Which is y the carb tune would be better Twist the handle and move!!!
