So the Once again the guy at the dealership is dumber then a box of rocks told me AGM was a gel cell battery... That it was made for the newer bikes and it would burn my stator and R/R up. He also told me they were different then a Glass Matte Battery frigin moron!!! Told me he wouldn't be able to Honor the warranty on the battery if I put it in my bike... Keep in mind same one that told me that I was syncing my Carbs wrong.

Ok After I went and looked at the side covers what about the c bracket on the lower part that is supposed to fit around the lower bar Grommet?

Now Condor I would never do a thing like that because I put the stuff up I buy so I won't lose them. I am the proud owner of 5 15mm wrenches, 4 Hammers, Hole crap load of nuts and bolts, 5 pipe wrenches, 2 Battery Chargers, 2 remotes for one tv, I could go on and on. But I am sure you all get the point I get tired of looking for something I put up so I go buy another. Then when I am done and no longer need said Items is when I find them, But the minute I need them I can never find the darned things.

Ok I watched the video's My only question is this. What is the best way to handle a blow out on a bike? I have had them on those skinny ten speed tires. Never a motorcycle and I tell you it sounds like a 22 pistol going off when you have a blow out on a bicycle and it gets squirrely but your talking what 10-40 miles an hour on a bike. Now if I am going down the interstate at 60-70 and have a blow out I would assume let off the throttle and no sudden braking. Would you want to tighten up on the handle bars, Loosen up on the handle bars, or Bail? I have had blow outs on cars and everyone starts to scream STOP!!!! all i ever did in that situation was if it was front hold the wheel straight and decelerate and pull off the side of the road, and if it was a rear tire just kind let it do its thing and let off the gas. But I have never seen anyone tell me what the best thing to do when you have a flat on a motorcycle.

I don't know but evedently My state don't have a law about that. Tonight on the way to Lowe's this lady in a Grey Ford Expedition Came over into my lane and almost rearended me totally oblivious to me at all. She was driving with her knee looking straight at her phone screen. Then the light turned green she was still staring at the phone pulling thru the light. I got behind her got her tag number then pulled along side of her and she was still looking at the screen typing away and driving with her knee. Top that she had kids in the car so I got to Lowe's Parking lot called dispatch to let them know about it all they asked is if I thought she was over 18. Turned on my scanner app and not a single call out about this lady. So I guess as long as I am over 18 I can pull out my phone on my motorcycle and just text and make phone calls while Riding down the road.....

Now when I came across this last night, I didn't really think that much of it. My issue isn't the Ball studs its the rubber grommet they fit into. Is it possible to find those somewhere? I would love to get rid of the zip ties.

Hey Do those resistors ever burn out? I made 2 spare 1k ohms and 2 spare 2.2k ohms. I was bored figured what the heck and just did it. Has nothing to do with anything but I will mention I bought a battery back in March of this year and I have to charge it every other night it seems. I paid $50 for it. So with that being said I wished I had spent the $128 for the this glass matte battery the guy at autozone tried to get me to buy. I am bullheaded at times and usually that guy is right. But I had no experience with glass matt battery's. I believe he said it is the best you can buy. So what is the difference between Glass matt and the AGM batteries

I will put it this way as far as Harley's go. When I went in to pay my bill on my bike; I was looking at around $1000 total cost could have been $300 More very easily. This guy was picking up his Harley believe he had stator replaced, carbs cleaned, and something else his bill was $4800. Now for the list of things I had them do to it. Rebuild starter, Rebuild Carbs, replace fork seals, Lube things up, Replace brakes, Guy also rebuilt my rear brake cylinder, Something to do with my clutch master o get the screw out that was stripped, and He replaced seals in there. There was a couple other things but I thought it was gonna hit me at about $2000 or better. I was all smiles climbing on the back of that bike thanking the bike for calling out to me when I bought her. Because I was seriously looking into a brand new Harley for around $6995 the guy told me he could get me on it for $6500 cash. I can't remember what he called it but its the lowest priced one they have and it was nice looking too. It was just something about that old 83 I liked and I have got alot of blood sweat and tears into her and wouldn't have it any other way. It also seems that a co-worker of the Warden's Harley is in the shop it seems like at least once a month. I just don't see how people can afford them.

Somebody goofed when they made your's 5x10 or there misleading, but I always thought 5x10 meant cargo room. So it should be at least 60". [emoji301] Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk -
Tell you the perfect vehicle for that is really any type of Small Suv. I had a really good vehicle for that a Blazer/Jimmy. I also had a Kick ass little Chevy Luv Pickup truck throw a camper on the back Both Vehicles I could camp up the Creek without any paddles and only had to put up with a canoe or maybe a rafter but, they never made much noise unless the boyfriend would decided to be naughty and rock the boat, Flip them both out of it. I have only stayed at campgrounds Twice in my life. I feel I sleep alot better when I'm By running creeks or Rivers tho. I'm Betting I can Get Marie into some of them places but not by the same way I got the 4x4's in. If I get to the point that I can't do Two Wheels I would probably go for them Hybrid Car/Motorcycles I do love the looks of them but can not think of there name.

When she wen't down
snyper316 replied to snyper316's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
OK so I stand corrected it is the big hose that comes off the bottom of the Radiator it is in pretty bad shape it definately need to be replaced so thanks for pointing me in that direction before I lost all my coolant its not leaking bad while cold but seemed the warmer she was getting the more she leaked. It isn't pouring out but a pretty good trickle. -
Ok so I did find a scuffed plastic elbow. However after @Flyinfool pointed me in the direction of checking for a leak of antifreeze sure enuff there was a small puddle underneath Marie. To answer your question @cowpuc rather then make a tech forum in the watering I moved this way to answer the question. The rubber hose I am talking about is wet from antifreeze but what you showed is rather close I believe thats where my rubber hose goes to. I tried to identify it at yamaha parts house and wow couldn't tell you which hose it is.All I can really say it is on the inside between the elbow and the takes antifreeze to a metal hose. Been trying to find a new house to rent. Landlord is making no effort to do anything about the flue that fell. Been waiting for that since July. So now that its getting cold soon I have got to find that and trying to find a house with a Garage is about pointless anymore. I do not like the Idea of leaving Shorty or Marie out in the weather. I guess I spoiled myself having a *two car garage* Thats about all that fits in the garage is Cars, I used to park my Jimmy in there but could only do so on one side. Needless to say I am not sure what to think right now been here since 2010 his dad used to run the place and since he passed it just don't seem like he wants to have anything to do with fixing the houses. Waited 5 weeks for him to fix a drain I finally got that fixed. Would done the Chimney but there is no way I am going to do a $3,000 job for free or very little. So now that I have went way off subject I will get back to it. Anywho I dont think this is from the bike tipping over because it has leaked every once in a while and not very much. I guess I will be pulling the hose and taking it to Bumper To Bumper (Napa) and see if he can fix me up once again. I may even by 100 foot of his wire and by 40 Spark Plug caps and make some wires and sell them on Ebay!!

Once it's going over.....It's going over!
snyper316 replied to Statussymbol's topic in Watering Hole
Ok I went out to check there is a leak but it appears to be a well aged rubber hose that appears to come from that area to the left side of the engine I would say a 2 inch round one and looks to be six inches long maybe. Looks very tight fit where it is. O there is an antifreeze mixing divot in the plastic pipe. Sent from my LG-K371 using Tapatalk
