I changed my complete antenna last year, and it made a major difference on the receive. Just an idea.... Here is a pic of the antenna.

Here is the link I got from Black Owl a long time ago. I've used them and they work great. Part number 9512k73. http://www.mcmaster.com/#9512k73/=1sjdwo -
I'll have to search to find the pics of the inside....

Did you do any sanding or use a primer before you painted it?

Good deal Lew, maybe you won't be in trouble for making too much noise this year....

Glad you're OK Carl. I had a woman pull over and crowded me into the center turn lane today on a busy five lane. Just glad I was paying attention and saw her coming over, and that I had some place to go. The next light turned red and I got a chance to pull up and discuss it with her.....

Thats real good mileage for the rear tire. I thought i was going to the E3's but I found another E2 and put on the rear this week. I lost the mileage when I put it on, so I don't know how many was on this one... I'm sticking with Dunlop tires.

Question re: Progressive Rear Shock
Skid replied to Skid's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
I was wondering if the ride got too hard, I'm thinking about changing everything to the Progressive 420. So would it be better to just change the spring or spring & shock?- 12 replies

Nice idea. I'll have to keep my eyes open next time I'm in the store. Although with the misses be a little heavier the next six months, I don't expect her to take any long trips this summer so I don't need to be in any rush now. And I just put a new rear tire on tonight and didn't put the hitch back on for this summer. I figured a little less weight might help my advantage with Yammer wanting to challenge me this summer...... that is if he evers gets on the road.

I am planing on changing the rear shock soon on my 86VR. The Progressive 420 is a little expensive, but if it makes as much difference as when I changed the fronts forks to Progressive it will be worth it. My question is do you still have the use of the class system on the bike and how much difference can I expect to see?

Very nice, I need to get started on mine again. Where did you get the cooler rack? By the way it bolts on I'm guessing its not home made?

Always better to get more gas mileage. I mostly get from 45 to 47 as long as I keep out of the throttle whether I'm running one up or two. The diaphragms makes a big difference....

I was just wondering if anyone was running the MT. Its about an half inch narrower than the MU. A local dealer has a Elite II blackwalled for $100.00, but its a MT. I turned it down.
-
Stay safe Jeff, we'll be looking forward to you getting back. I'm sure there will be a few first gens ready for maintenance by that time.
-
Ok, I am curious how many folks are running the MU90B16 and if any uses the MT90B16? The best I can tell the "MU" is about a half inch wider at most. I alway ran the MU but just wondering if anyone is running the MT.

Just to let everyone now, a friend of mine is selling his 1999 GoldWing trike and custom trailer. It has just over 50K miles and also has the easy steer. This Wing is white in color and it is in excellent condition. He is asking $22.5K for both pieces. The custom trailer is about a year old and looks like a small horse trailer. It is also white with a lot of chrome. It is very sharp. He has over $5K invested but would take $4K for trailer alone. I'll try to get a few pics and post it in the classified shortly. Anyone interested just shoot me a PM and I'll get pics and more info to you quickly.

Good luck Randy, hope everyone is doing well...
