1. Warranty is 3 years according to update on the AVA web site. http://www.amervoyassoc.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=1061
2. According to the American Voyager Association ( AVA ) forum, the warranty on the Kaw web site is incorrectly stated at 1 year. Suppose to be 3 yrs with additional yrs available. http://www.amervoyassoc.org/
3. I would like to suggest Grand Junction, Colorado. Located on the mild side of the Continental Divide. Easy access via Interstate 70. Between Denver and the Utah border designated the most scenic Interstate in the U.S. Easy access from Canada and all other points of the U.S. In the heart of some of the best riding in the U.S. Biker friendly town, great accommodations, large selection of eating establishments, & scenery galore. Close to the Colorado National Monument, Grand Mesa and highway 65 scenic byway (10,000 ft elevation). The scenic byway to Gateway, CO [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WvipmB-v2YU]YouTube - Riding Unaweep-Tabeguache Byway[/ame] and a NEW auto museum http://gatewaycanyons.com . Location of many great wineries with curvy roads through the orchards of Peaches, Apricots, Grapes, Cherries, & more. Not that far from the Million Dollar Highway, & the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Motorcycle mini tours already set up: http://fruita-co.home.bresnan.net Location of successful motorcycle rallies in the past (Sierracade 2000, GWTA 2005). The Grand Junction Visitors Center knows how to get a Rally set up and has volunteers to help. http://www.grand-junction.net/ Be sure to view all the web pages above!
4. Local dealer selling used 05 RSTD for $10,000.
5. I owned a '98 SE after selling my '88 Royale. I have never been on a RSV (I would if I could find one around here). I can say that the SE was a very solid, quiet bike but rather clumsy compared to my 88 Royale. Ride both and decide for yourself.
6. Same scenario around here. None at the local Yamaha dealer in Grand Junction. Dealer 60 miles away in Montrose sells both Honda & Yamaha and doesn't have RSV models on hand new or used. Apparently, Yamaha Corp is not pushing their dealers to sell them. What does this mean? I would like to try one out too but not so sure I would buy if this is the way Yamaha is thinking.
7. Gosh darn, I WAS thinking of getting a RSV.
