Shooter, I, too, have an '07 and have experienced the same problem. I had the dealer look at it...of course, they could not duplicate the problem. Recently I started out, got about a block away and the overheat and oil indicators came on. I turned around and drove to work...that night, nor since, has that occurred again. I think this particular model may have some electrical problems...time will tell. In the meantime, I never turn off the radio and it always has come right on when I start the bike. Jim T

Destination Cycle in Kerrville TX has an 08 Black Cherry/black. Looks very nice and they are super folks to deal with.

Congratulations, Bull...all this and a paycheck, too. Doesn't get much better, I reckon. Jim T

I'm planning a trip from San Antonio to Springfield IL at the end of May. I will be in Illinois for about a week and I am concerned because the last time I was there the only gas I remember included ethynol. My question(s) is/are...is there regular gas available in Illinois? If not, does using the ethynol mix negatively affect our engines? Sure appreciate any help on this. Thanks in advance. Jim T

Getting ready to "retire" and am thinking about working with the instruction schools in the area. Wondering how many instructors we have on the site, how you became an instructor and would you be able to supplement retired pay by doing so? Appreciate any comments. Jim T

You must stop by the Air Force Museum on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio. Lot of good history in Springfield IL regarding our 16th president, Abe Lincoln--His museum, home, burial sight, and child hood home in nearby New Salem IL. Have a great time. Jim Turner:lightbulb:

One of the greatest things about my 07 RSV is that it is located in San Antonio...where today it was about 80 degrees...and the wife and I were able to take a long drive in short sleeves. Live is great!!!!

Baron Starbar Handlebar
Aimhigh replied to Aimhigh's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I had the bars and risers put on along with the Avon Venom's and LEDs on the trunk. I haven't seen the bike yet, but will pick it up tomorrow. The dealer says the risers hit the plastic piece around the gas cap. Did you have this problem? -
I believe that I would be interested in one of them there things! Jim T

Thanks BuddyRich. the biased is the one, not the radial...how about just the regular ones?
-
Thanks Jerry. I guess the size is not really the concern, so much as the type of tire. There seems to be biased, radial, and regular Avon Venoms. Which is the best?
-
I cannot seem to find any postings that show the size and type of Avon Venoms for an '07 RSV. I want to put these on the bikes at the same time I have the Baron Bars and the Rivco LED lights installed. Appreciate any help.

I see a lot of welcoming of new members. Must be getting very close to the 4k point. I'm very proud to be a member of such a large group of people that get along so well.

Wow! Super story. Thanks for the posting, Randy. Being fellow-riders is a special relationship. Jim T

My son knows quite a bit about computers and he has advised me to avoid the Vista and stick with the XP. Vista uses much more RAM and I've been told some of the peripherals (especially printers) are difficult to connect. Wish you the best.

thanks guys. You all talk highly of the Zumo 550 and I guess that's the one I will zero in on. I just thought a less folks at the GPS store are more interested in selling the models they need to clear. Appreciate the info.
