I originally posted this in a thread started by tx2Sturgis regarding the new Spyder motorcycles, but I am seeking input and decided to start the new thread. Anyway, I wonder when some enterprising individual will come up with a conversion kit for the RSV that will change out the front end to two wheels and leave the back end alone?????? I would think that would be something to consider. It seems that this type of conversion would be easier to achieve (if not cheaper), we would keep the workings of the RSV, and it would implement the increased braking ability of two front wheels. What do you think?

I just got word that an old friend of mine is retiring from the Air Force in mid-October. I'm thinking about riding the bike (from San Antonio) to Colorado Springs. I'm concerned about the weather that time of the year. I realize it is not in the mountains, but I wonder what the temperatures typically run at that time of year. Appreciate any input.

This is a sad result of dog owners not caring for their animals. Animals should be protected by being fenced in...there should not be dogs running loose. Here in Texas we have dogs all over the place running loose...it is sad to see them when they are hit by a vehicle...it's not the animals fault...the owner is at fault. You are lucky you guys weren't hurt. I would feel bad about it, too, so I won't even offer up to not worry about it. Feel bad, but not guilty.

Going to buy new mattress/box spring. Really thinking about the tempurpedic or select comfort...wondered if any of you have either one and what you think about it...are they worth the money?

Awesome Exhaust for the RSV

was at the dealer's today getting periodic maintenance done...they have an '05 RSV for sale that has Krome Werks exhaust on it...they started it up for me so I could hear them...awesome! They even took it out on the road and rode it by a couple of times...I was very impressed at the sound. Does anyone have this exhaust on their RSV?

Squid...I don't know about Houston, but here in San Antonio there is a LOT of construction going on for the military at Lackland AFB and Fort Sam Houston. Good luck in your search...if I can help in anyway, please let me know...I live just southwest of San Antonio.

Thank you so much for the heads up on this. As a Vietnam vet and having spent 28 years of my life defending the rights for jerks like the person complaining about the memorial, it makes me sick to my stomach that there are people in the world like this.

I had the prostatectomy in January...the robotics is the way to go ... you will be on your feet the afternoon of the surgery and out in a day or two. Good luck. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I sure share your thoughts...it is one thing to ride a motorcycle...it is a tremendous responsibility when you have someone sitting behind you, with their life in your hands...especially someone as special as your wife!
