  1. WOW, you'd think they would be able to get a handle on it by now...guess they just don't have the professionals that run our site...thanks to all you folks that keep our computers running smoothly.
  2. I googled how to split the fairing and one of the results was at "venturer.org" when I clicked on it my virus checker stopped me saying that entrance could damage my computer...what's the buzz?
  3. It won't keep you from falling down...but at least you won't feel it as much. Sorry you are having so much trouble...hope things start going better for you.
  4. Zumo 660...now I will need to contact Buddy Rich and learn how to open up the fairing.
  5. What is a UP or QS rider? Perhaps I am having a brain fart...but I don't get it.
  6. We tried it, but since we have satellite internet, there is a significant delay...so much so that it was unusable.
  7. About a year ago I had some work done on our 4Runner...while in the shop I asked my mechanic to go ahead and change the oil, too. He informed me that the quick change shop had messed up the bolts to the plate...and that it appeared the oil filter had not been changed in some time. At that time I decided that I would do the oil changes for all my vehicles from now on. Once the prepaid routine maintenance is used up on the bike...I will change that oil, too.
  8. Sorry there has to be such sadness in your life...particularly at this time of the year. God bless!

  13. For me the "passing lights" (I have no idea why they are called that) are a safety feature. I figure the more opportunity I have to be seen by others on the road, the more likely I am to avoid a collision. I did not say fail safe...just more likely. Anything that helps me to get home safely is okay in my book. I had them put on at purchase...they run all the time. After purchase I had the "SOMA" lights installed in the back end of the bike. Helps immensely.
  14. I had this bike back in 76...rode it from Scott AFB IL to Sheppard AFB TX...when I got to Texas it felt like I was sitting on a razor blade! Remarkable trip these two guys made...good on 'em.
  15. Take care during your deployment...watch your six and come home safely. Speaking from experience, it will be tough on your relationship. Get past this and you will know it was meant to be. Please let us know if you need anything while in theatre.
  16. Yeah...boast away...these are significant accomplishments!! You know what they say...if you can (or did) do it, then it ain't braggin.
  17. More of the same in Texas...I couldn't help but notice your map of states ridden...rather interesting. One state in the (far) north...and one state in the (far) south. now you need to fill in the blank spot!
  18. As Buddy Rich said...we are still riding here in Texas...sure do miss the opportunity to go snow skiing, though...like you guys get to do. Hang in there, winter will pass.
