Never tried it, but I ran into a guy that says he has done some iron butt rides and his solution was to cut a piece of indoor/outdoor carpet for the seat. He said, as strange as it sounds...it works. ????

Thanks for this posting...I just got a Wing and was wondering if the Zumo would work...just power and Aux hookup, huh? Super! Can you also answer the call and talk through the headsets and mic?

I think I will check these out on the internet...last time I went to a dealer to look for them...I ended up riding home on a different bike...yep, chaps can be expensive!

I responded to one of those adds recently...the story I got is that the military person was in Greece and would put the car on a plane to send it to me. NO WAY! I spent 28 yrs in the Air Force...there was a time (way back when) that you could do something like that...today...NO WAY. The kicker in our deal was that if I did not like the car...they would be able to find another buyer with no problems??????? How they were going to do this when the car is in my possesion is beyond me!

Remarkable that you might be able to ride that soon! Hope it works out that way. BTW, one of the things that put us over the top on the GW is that it had CB already installed. We had never used that feature much on the RSV, but we see how handy it is to have when at Big Bend. Tom, the movie Bandolero...I think the actors are Jimmy Stewart and Raquel Welch...or do I have the wrong movie? I thought the scuttlebutt while riding was that John Wayne and Sofia Loren were in it???

Nope, Perry...in fact I thought it was a Yamaha dealer...did not even know that they were also a Honda dealer...that's my story...and I'm sticking with it!

Here is the "new" ride...took it out for a long ride today...WOW...the ride is super! BTW...as you can see, I kept the blue...just lost the black.

One of the greatest thing about having owned the RSV is that it brought us to this site and we made so many great friends. Honestly, I think if we thought that you all would have "disowned" us...we may not have made the change. But we saw on the Big Bend trip that all are welcome, regardless, of what you ride...so we kinda thought it would not be an issue. I gotta tell you that the ABS, fuel injection, handling, and many other factors made the decision easier, too. On the down side, we did lose the cassette:o.

It is not my fault that Tom made the Big Bend run on a new Goldwing. It is not my fault that my wife fell in love with the bike...ok, so did I. It is not my fault that when we stopped in at a Honda dealer for rainsuits that they had an '07 Goldwing...level three that we would really like. I guess it is MY fault that we ended up buying it, though. I hope I will not be disowned by this group...

I think you will find the Garmin Zumo 660 or 550 are the best ones for the bikes. I have the 660 and really like it. Can use it in other vehicles as well.

it's a cyclemate...uses regular 1156 and 1157 bulbs.

Well, I ordered and received the led replacement bulbs. I am disappointed with what I see. The stop lights do seem a bit brighter...the turn signals are actually dimmer than the original bulbs. Oh well, live and learn, I guess.
