  9. Do you remember if the rack came with a template?
  10. i was just talking to my co-worker about the same thing. I think the Clearcoat will be the trick and i will make sure i pay close attension to the joints. Thanks
  11. ok den, thanks for everyones input. If the rack does rust I guess i will have to drop the extra dime on the Yama or Hnda rack I saw on here. I thought the bags looked just like the Yama Ones only without the monograming.
  12. I just ordered this set of saddle bag liners and trunk bag along with a trunk rack from JC whitney. I hope it isnt junk. Does anyone else have this set? http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/tf-VehicleBrowse/s-10101/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2012265/p-2012265/currentRecordCount-0/N-111+2007+200004571+600014545/c-10111 and here is the trunk rack http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Search?catalogId=10111&storeId=10101&sku=CBM010781 i did read that the trunk rack may rust a bit in the joints. we'll see.
  13. how hard and how did you remove the glue from the mounts?
  14. I feel your pain. I too am not yet into the 21 century. But .... I did pick up a MP3 player and it it small enough to fit anywhere. The only thing i would suggest is to get a MP3 player thats aleast a couple a gigs so you can hold more songs. I have a 1 gig and it holds about 200 songs. that may sond like a lot but think of this. You can buy a MP3 player thats no bigger that A pack of gum and hold ALL of your music collection on it. If your no to sure how to load it find a 10 or 11 year old and get them to do it for you and show you. Its not that hard once you do it. Remember $600+ for the CD player that only plays 6 CDs = 60 songs =give up your trunk . or Maybe $300 have all your songs in the palm of your hand. Oh yeah, you can also listen to the MP3 anywhere not just on the bike. Good Luck.
  15. Gun control : proper sight alignment and trigger control
  16. Has Anyone Installed The Grip Pups With Grip Heaters? I Was Thinking About This And Was Wondering If I Could Install The Heaters Without Removing The Stock Grips. I Was Thinking I Could Just Install The Heaters Over The Stock Grips.
  17. real nice work
  18. Here is my 2 cents. Jokes are just that Jokes. If you dont want to here it, dont listen. If you dont want to read one, turn the page. Lighten up people. This is a great site that has helped alot of people come together, helping each other with bike related problems. I had the chance to go to a Meet and eats This past Fall. My wife and I weren't to sure what type of people we would meet there. Let me tell you we were welcomed like family. This was a most memorable time and we cant wait till the weather gets nice again to go on another. Now without having access to this site we never would have met the nicest bunch of biker trash (just kidding) you would ever want to meet. I couldn't believe how helpful, friendly and just good people were members of this site. So in my own opinion if someone writes something you dont like.......Grow up. If your getting ready to write something as a joke...... think about it. I would hate to see this site gone and know everyone else would too. thats just my 2 cents
  19. some people are up way too early!!! whats up Duke?
  20. ok that one is finally answered, now what about the Pope?
  21. yeah thats what i thought i would do first. then install the heaters and wire them in. I thought i read somwhere in the owners manual that there was a aux circuit tied to the switch already wired in one of the side covers. I will have to check that out also. Thanks for the info on yours.
  22. Well seeing as i have the heaters already i guess i can drop the $9 on the wraps and give them a try. You never mentioned about the wires. Were they easy to conceal?
  23. I have smaller hands (i wear size med gloves) how much bigger do they new grips make them? I already have t a set of heaters that i was wondering about putting on. This might be the answer to my dilema. If you can, do you have pics to post? I'm wonder what you did with your wiring. I hate exposed wires.
  24. Update: I got a call from the GM at the dealership (i think we are becoming friends now) he told me that they think they foung the problem. It is in the middle drive gear. He went to they're sister dealership and brought up a new 07 RSV. They compaired the 2 middle drive and mine does have some play. He said they ordered the shim kit and will start on it as soon as the kit comes in. I might be seeing her back home by next weekend.
  25. We have to hook up for a scoot 1 day with the Duke.
