  1. I test rode one once. I'm a tall guy and it was nice but I don't think I could do really long trips on it.
  2. Was a rough night. Everyone had high temps and throwing up. I didn't get any sleep. Im not sick yet but after all that it is probably comming. Time for my chicken soup. Dr dad to the rescue.
  3. Last night- So there I was getting ready for bed and my 3 year old daughter walks in to my bedroom and kicks me out of my own bed. She looks at me and says "Daddy, I sleeping with mommy tonight." I start telling her that big girls sleep in their own beds and my wife informed me that Miranda hasn't been feeling well and I should just let her fall asleep and move her after. Ya, that didn't happen. I went up around 10 and my bed had everyone but me in it. Thankfully I have a comfortable couch. Today 6am- I get up and go to work like normal. I get a call around 8:30. My wife, youngest daughter and my son are all home sick with the flue. I get home around 8:30pm and everybody is in my bed. I played Dr dad for a bit and now back to the couch. Not complaining just asking for thoughts and prayers for the family. Hope the flue season skips the rest of you.
  4. The short story as to why it is such a hassle is that she messed something up on her entrance visa. We have a great lawyer on it. The other part of it is that we have had 3 adjudicators instead of just one. Each person has wanted a separate set of "supporting paperwork". We have had 2 full on hearings and one sit down. Have to get with lawyer and maybe petition to go before a judge instead of back to a desk jockey. Problem with that is time. It takes a lot longer to get before a judge and her work permit will expire... Maybe if we commit a few felonies and go on welfare she will get approved right away.
  5. A few weeks ago my wife and I went in for an immigration interview. We got the response today. They are booting her case,,,, again. This time it is because the adjudicator wants supporting paperwork to support the supporting paperwork her case got booted for last time. Anyone who has been through this knows what kind of nightmare all this is. Well, here goes round 3 I guess.
  6. Asking for a friend. Anyone here run a CT on above mentioned bike?
  7. That quarter pepper still gave quite a kick.
  8. Ssooooo for a Tuesday. That was some serious Friday eating we did tonight... Hey, do we have a section on here for trading recipes? I have a great chicken soup recipe I would be willing to share in exchange for a recipe for split pea soup. I have a massive ham bone that just begs to be introduced to some split peas.
  9. 1/4 reaper. Any more and the kids wouldn't eat it. Those tomatoes are amazing. Great flavor and really dense. Gabby wants me to start a garden now...
  10. I bet somebody here might recognize the tomatoes in that chili...
  11. And venison chili!!!!!
  12. Secret Family Recipe venison burgers and venison brats. :fatsmiley:
  13. Ya sorry, forgot this for the . The almost celebration soup dinner. I can't seam to get it to rotate the right way but this is my wife... And her soup.
  14. Well... It wasn't an outright no like last time. This time we got a "I will send you my decision by mail." According to our lawyer, that's a good thing. We will see. Fingers crossed.
  15. We are going in for an immigration hearing for my wife tomorrow. The adjudicator can either greenlight it or kick it out, again... this has been a very long and expensive process and I am hoping that it can finally be over. He booted it last time for a mis-checked box on her Immigration Form. I know there's a lot going on in the world right now but if anyone could spare a word with the big man for me I'd appreciate it.
  16. Poncho,, Just a reminder that I will be in your area today. I sent you a PM with my number. Let me know if you would like me to stop out.
  17. I'm not a fan of the spin on filters for these bikes. Being in the front like that is a recipe for disaster. One wayward stone kicked up from the front tire and there goes all of your oil. The stock ones aren't the easiest to deal with but better than being stuck in the middle of nowhere with no oil.
  18. I wish I could claim it but one of our members did this. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?116337-Clutch-Hydraulic-Rebuild-Tutorial
  19. :happy65:Don't know where you found that but I was about crying:happy34:
  20. My wife and I will be passing right by you on our way to Chicago on the 29th. Let me know what your schedule is that day and if it works out with ours I can always stop over and help you out and give you a few tips if you need it. I'm not as good as some of the guys on here but I'm willing to lend you whatever knowledge I have.
  21. I get to these kind of late in the day due to my work schedule but, if you haven't already done the repair / replacement yet, please remember to use a new banjo bolt and Crush washers when installing the slave cylinder. I don't remember the torque spec on it but I know it's not very much. Over torquing or using old or no Crush washers will result in leaking.
  22. How do you know for sure you need a new one? Lucy's PO told me I needed a new master and slave. When I got her home and started checking her out, I found that he had done an improper repair on the clutch basket. He had put her back together wrong and the basket was all out of alignment. If in fact there is something wrong with the slave, just replace it with the new one. Better to not have to worry about leaking.
