Buddy Rich, Thanks for the URL. I have rotated my handle bars thru many postions but would like them higher, and more level, so the extensions might just do the trick. I will shake the piggy bank and see if enough $ fall out... BTW I am 6'6" tall and weigh 280 LBS... so most bikes dont fit me, but the 2nd Gen RSV is the closets fit I could find.

Venting 2nd Gen Front Leg Shields (lower Fairing)
KiteSquid replied to hilliss's topic in Watering Hole
what might work would be to figure out a way to duct the hot air coming off the radiator under the bike, behind the operator... or to move the radiator to the back of the bike. Also, look at how a Honda Goldwing handles it's hot air from the radiator.... either on the rider in the winter or off the rider in the summer. BTW how does the Honda Valkyrie Interstate compare to the RSV??? I looked hard for a Valkyrie Interstate before I purchased my RSV, but all the ones in my area were ragged out and asking top dollar.... I saw low mileage Waikerie Interstates for good prices, but they were too far away from me to think about purchasing.... -

Nitrogen filled tires
KiteSquid replied to geresti's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I use 78.08% Nitrogen in all my tires... it is the extra 0.08% that does the trick!!!! :rotf: BTW, HERE is what Consumer Reports has to say about it... After reading their article, I will contune to use a high tech mixture of 78.08% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.038% carbon dioxide, trace amounts of other gases, and a variable amount (average around 1%) of water vapor in all my tires. -

Sense it is a new to you bike, you should take the MSF safety course on it!!!!!! -
Sorry to see you are selling your bike. I hope it is because you are buying a2008 RSV!!!! I have not checked the online used bike price sites, but it looks like a good deal for the buyer....

shaking handle bars
KiteSquid replied to Color01's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
I think that Sorbothane cylinders in the bar ends would probably be a better solution. Less mass but LOTS of vibration dampening. -
Interesting that you should ask this question, but the first review of the Venture was on THIS page. I look forward to your photos and diary of your trip!!!!!!
