3rd vote for exersigning the warranty. -
Note they did not state what parts of the line would be targeted... But it did say "motorcycles and other products" which is quite a wide brush.

If you were to add it to a tank of fuel just to keep the carburetors clean I would add 0.5 to 1.0 Oz per gallon of gasoline. As per my owner's manual, the 2nd Gen RSV has a 5.94 gallon tank, I would add somewhere between three and six ounces of high grade Naphtha (VM&P Naphtha) to an empty tank and then fill the tank. I would probally do this to every 5th to 10th tank of fuel, just to clean things out. If you are having carburetor issues, I would put about three to six ounces of VM&P Naphtha in an empty tank and put in three gallons of gas..... to deep clean the fuel system. It does not sound like a lot of VM&P Naphtha, AKA Camp fuel, but it is quite a concentrated solvent.

I would recomend that you watch the classified ads here, eBay, craigs list and MotorcycleTrader.com for the bike of your dreams. There are lots of memebers here that would probally volinteer to look over a bike that is further away from you... if you ask... Welcome aboard the fourm and I hope you find a RSV soon.

Children’s ATV sales banned?!?!?! Feds at it again

Actually there is 0% added Tetra-ethyl lead in on-road automobile fuel sold in North America. HOWEVER there is Tetra-ethyl lead in gasoline for small planes that is sold at airports and for race cars sold at race tracks. the octane rating of these fuels is normally 100 or higher. Tetra-ethyl lead destroys catalytic converters, so it will not work in most on-road automobiles manufactured sense 1975. -
Night riding on the interstates -- what's the big deal?
KiteSquid replied to Dave77459's topic in Watering Hole
for extra visibality, put on a high visibialty vest, like they wear at construciton sites... The hardcore, black leather only wearing bikers will laugh at it, but if it gets you home alive, I am all for it!!!!!!! Here is the idea: http://www.duckol.com/uploadFiles/upimg11/High-Visibility-Vest-Reflective-Vest-Safety-Vest--.jpg -
AMEN brother, AMEN!!!!!!

That depends on if you are doing preventative maintenance or corrective maintenance. So for preventive maintenance I would use one half to one Oz to every gallon of gasoline. For corrective maintenance I would use one to two Oz to every gallon of gasoline. For deep cleaning I would put it in a vacuum port or remove the air cleaners and pour it in just like Seafoam's recommendation:

Yes, Coleman Brand Camp fuel works, but you can find other brands that cost less, or at least my local Wal:)Mart carries Ozark Trail brand camp fuel for about 20% less than Coleman brand, but I dont know the chemical diffrences as I cannot find a MSDS for Ozark Trail brand. For a definition, Camp fuel is the liquid fuel that is mostly Naphtha with some stabilizer added to extend it's shelf life as most people will go thur a gallon in more than a year....... Other brands on the market are MSR (they sell a "Super" fuel at an elevated price) Crown, Ozark Trail, Coleman, Side note: if you are on the road and need some fuel system cleaner, just buy a bottle of lighter fluid, but it costs a lot more per Oz than Camp fuel but is probably chemically the same. As for price, I was going off of memory...... and trying to err on the side of caution. Looking at your prices paid, Camp Fuel is about 1/10 the price of SeaFoam for the same cleaning power. Naphtha is also call "White Gas" in some countries. You can buy VM&P Naphtha at most hardware stores, but it usually costs more than Camp Fuel. HERE is the MSDS for Coleman camp fuel but it is dated 1998.... HERE is a more up to date MSDS for Coleman camp fuel, note the changes in the makeup. HERE is the MSDS for Zippo lighter fluid

Sadly, I doubt any police department in the US would use that technique. I am glad the Spanish Police stopped him that way!!!!! Too bad they damaged the car. They should have just pulled a rope acroos the road at 1" above the height of the handelbars............. Saved the damage to the car.

If you have deep pockets, and want to be comfortable, look for GoreTex or other Durrable Waterproofing treated fabrics. My pockets are not that deep. I bought Nelson-Rigg rain suits and am qutie happy, but not as comfortable as if I had bought Goretex. BTW, FroggToggs are made out of Tyvek.

United States Navy Active October 1981 - October 2001 Fleet Reserve November 2001- October 2110 Chief Firecontrolman Chief= Pay-grade E7, Initiated and PROUD of it!!! I had up to 107 guys working for me at one time, and all the headaches that came along with it. Firecontrolman = I operated and maintained the computers and RADAR that controlled the firing of the guns and missiles. I was the guy that "Projected Power" There is NOTHING like the sound of a Phalanx CIWS, a 5" gun firing, or the sound of an SM-2 launching. Firecontrolman motto: If it flies, it dies. Getting yelled at by my Company Commander MSCS (SW) Gloria. I am 6'6" tall and he was about 5' 2" tall...... He was a Philippine National and this was my first experience with a heavy Philippine accent. He use to yell "You are so pucked up, drop and give me twenty" I could never get past the fact that he was calling me a puck, which is a disk of rubber that is used in Ice Hockey. I could never get past it without laughing and having to give him twenty more push-ups...... I was such a pucked up recruit!!!! http://slog.thestranger.com/files/2007/09/puck.jpg -

Handle Bar Risers

I did not have to pull out any slack as I inserted the riser extenisons from the sides. -
I am a Plankowner on USS Leyte Gulf (CG-55), and in my RADAR Rooms, I took down all the brass and polished it up as BRIGHT as I could get it. I then sprayed it with clear Polyurethane spray paint and reinstalled it. When I went back to her for a second tour of duty almost 10 years later, the bright-work was still gleaming!!!!!!! LOTS of labor saved over the years!!!!!!! And lots of Never-dull saved for the 00-04 quarterdeck watches!!!!!

OR a Harly-Davidson Servicar, as they had a rear bumper.

My local Advance Auto Parts and NAPA both carry it by the gallon, HOWEVER it is IMHO expensive. I have shifted over to using products like Coleman Camp Fuel (Naptha) instead. For one gallon it costs about 1/3 the price and it is 2 times more concentrated, so it goes 6 times as far as Seafoam. I wish I could find more bargins like this. It does not have the alcohol to dry your fuel, but 99.9999% of the fuel I buy comes with 10% Ethanol from the pump, so fuel dryer is no longer needed............ Read the article HERE for more info
