  1. Personally I prefer most any MP3 player that is NOT made by apple. For more info on MP3 players check out THIS website. Currently I run a Garmin GPS with a built in MP3 player and run it on random play. It works OK with gloves on. The Garmin GPS units for Motorcycles probably work better with gloves on, but they were three times the price.
  2. If I read Rusty Metts's post correctly, all of us who own RSVs need to go out an buy a 1st gen Vmax......... just so we can tinker...... I would probally take the heads, carbs and as much of the exhaust off of the Vmax and put it on my RSV....
  3. For the original web page, click HERE And it looks like he bought the bumper car bodies from these fine people
  4. jonsmyth, To be able to help could you provide the part number and manufacturer's name from the bulb?????
  5. I searched the fourm for the word Polk and got fifty four threads.
  6. I have actually tried that EXACT software for work. My left arm was out of commission for a while due to a shoulder injury (NOT motorcycle related) and my company had a copy so I tried it to write some reports. It was OK but it took me some getting used to. give the software some time to learn your speech patterns and it works well. I don't use it anymore. as my arm is OK now, and I can type and think faster than I can think, talk and read...... If I were to try it again, I would have to face away from the screen while I talked and read/make corrections when the entire paragraph is written.
  7. I don't recommend emery cloth for cleaning contacts. it can leave some nasty stuff behind. I recommend using a contact burnishing tool like this: http://www.pkneuses.com/cb5.jpg The manufactures web site is HERE
  8. LilBeaver, THANK YOU for picking up this torch and RUNNING with it!!!!!
  9. loved the apehangers!!!!!!!
  10. What is the payoff?????
  11. I was mostly just armchair dragracing..... Did not want to spend any money on the idea, but if I found a Vmax for a low amout of $ it might be fun. I was mostly thinking intake track, heads, exhaust and the rear end from a 1st gen Vmax, oh and the electronics to run the spark.....would be a LOT of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If I were to spend any real money, I would probally just go buy a Corvette......

  13. NOW I understand the question. You were asking what voltage our bikes charging system runns at......... I did not get that from the title of the thread... sorry... I have not put a volt meter on my bike so regretabally I cannot post an answer to your intended question.
  14. to answer the title of this thread, about $110/hr.
  15. TransportSpecs.com has this to say at this link: 0-60 7 Sec. Rembember it is only rated at 98 HP and weight 827 Lbs........
  16. It wont work on a RSV, but it might fit in the hole where the cassette deck currently is....
  17. A asked if someone would take over the list, as my current life situation makes it almost impossible to update it in a timely fashion... is there someone out there that can pick up this torch?????
  18. Here is a starting point: http://jonesview.files.wordpress.com/2008/03/menandwomen.jpg
  19. A numerical lower final drive ratio. this makes the bike accelerate more quickly. This also raises the RPM for a given speed in a given transmission gear. Depending on your riding habits, it might lower your fuel economy. It might raise your rider satisfaction factor, but that is subjective. It will flatten your wallet some to purchase. I would recommend purchasing one that has ben modified to accept the speed sensor.....
  20. I want one for the left and the right, but made of water proof leather..... does anybody have a source, as I cannot find them with an Internet search. Thanks in advance. BTW are those the ones for the Road King or the Ultra???? I understand they are different.
  21. Be sure to get the Marine formula of STA-BIL from their web site HERE it is blue in color http://www.goldeagle.com/assets/product/Marine-Formula-STA-BIL_8oz_Ethanol_Treatment_22239.jpg BTW, locally I found it at Tractor Supply store
  22. I am always wary of third party software...you NEVER know what it might do....
  23. I just did some poking around the Internet, and it looks like Google Maps will only download points, not routes, directly to a Garmin GPS, but is possible with RouteConverter which is a third party software, which I do not wish to install on my PC. Mapquest will directly download routes with multiple way-points in to a Garmin GPS as long as Garmin Communicator Plugin software from Garmin is installed on the PC. I will start using Mapquest for my routing needs...................
  24. That is what I assumed as the maps download from Garmin and I can put in locations from Google Maps. I need to learn how to import routes from Google Maps to my Garmin GPS.... Off to Google maps I go.
  25. Did you download maps or routes????
