  1. I contacted Clarion and they stated that they would not disclose the operating parameters of the Cbus with me. Would someone else like to try????
  2. They used one in the movie Brazil for Sam to drive http://www.ooyay.com/pics/brazil/PDVD_003.jpg But I think the added a bumper to the front... http://www.ooyay.com/pics/brazil/PDVD_005.jpg
  3. I don't know how well they work, but they are probably illegal to operate in the US without a FCC license.... but you can search the internet for that type of product....
  4. everyone here should make an offer of $1 for the bike......
  5. Yes I have have it wired and in a RAM mount. I dont care to use my cell pohne while operating a motorvehicle, so I would just have to read the owners manual for the Bluetooth info, but I don't have it handy. Sorry. Maybe you can download the manual from Garman's web site.
  6. Objective or subjective?
  7. Good news!!!!!! The homeowners association has backed down. here is the article from the Richmond times dispatch HERE UPDATE: Deadline dissolves in Barfoot flag fight By Staff Reports Published: December 8, 2009 Updated: December 8, 2009 A homeowner's association said today it will drop threatened legal proceedings against Col. Van T. Barfoot over the Medal of Honor recipient's refusal to get rid of a vertical flag pole. "The Sussex Square Homeowners Association Board has agreed to withdraw legal action previously announced for Friday, December 11, 2009 at 5:00 p.m.," U.S. Sen. Mark Warner announced this evening shortly after 6. "I think this is about neighbors helping neighbors," said Alexandra Bowen, a lawyer who until today was representing Sussex Square Services Inc., the homeowner association board. Bowen said she is no longer involved in the dispute. Barfoot, 90, faced a deadline of Friday to remove his flag pole or face unspecified legal action. On another front today, U.S. Rep. Eric I. Cantor, R-7th. introduced a resolution in the House of Representatives resolving that any recipient of the Medal of Honor be permitted to "properly display" the flag from the recipient's property. While the resolution notes that Barfoot, who lives in western Henrico County, was ordered by his neighborhood homeowner's association to remove the pole, the resolution does not specifically state that using a pole is the manner to properly display the flag. The homeowner's association has no prohibition against flying the flag but objects to Barfoot using a pole. It was not immediately clear what action might be forthcoming from either the homeowner's association or Barfoot.
  8. To the best of my knowledge there has not been a published test result from an independent laboratory, but there is THIS at Bob is the oil guy.... UPDATE: I found THIS at the Duramax website. Pay attention to the Accumulative Gain table where the AC Delco filter (paper) passed .4 grams of dirt while the K&N filter passed 7.0 grams of dirt. This is a 1,650% increase in dirt flow. I wish my bank would offer that kind of interest, but I don't want that much dirt passing into my engine. Another great point from the caption of the Dirt Passed Versus Total Test Time chart I wish this test was done with the fine dirt too..... Yes the paper filter had higher restriction to airflow than the K&N, but that would probably only come into play at WOT, and I only spend 1% or less of my riding time at WOT........... I'll stay with factory filtering, until there is a product that filters better than stock...
  9. I would only install K&N airfilters on a bike I racing. They dont filter the air as well as a paper filter which could shorten engine life. I may not be riding my bike properly but I am at wide open throttle about 1% of the time.
  10. Regrettably they take quite a bit of electrical power to run the air compressor and the air tank takes up quite a bit of space....
  11. I was in Pearl Harbor for work three times over the past six months and had the opportunity to visit both the USS Arizona Memorial and the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. If any of you make it to Honolulu HI, you MUST visit these two sites!!!!!!!!
  12. Look what I started....... FYI, I really do need a good used FYI.
  13. What does a used FYI go for?????
  14. My local Honda motorcycle dealership does not stock Honda Moly60 either, but my local Honda and Acura Car dealerships do AND at a lower price. I too wonder what the service department at the motorcycle shop uses..... BTW, they wont be servicing my bike...
  15. The micro site is HERE They are made by National Cycle according to their online catalog HERE, Part number N41310 is for 1999-2008 XVZ1300TF/CT Royal Star Venture/Tour Deluxe And installed on at 2007 RSV http://www.peacemakersexhausts.com/images/N41310_XVZ1300TF.jpg If I win the lottery, I will probally buy a set....
  16. Shell Rotella® T Synthetic 5W- 40 oil (Look for the blue jug) http://www-static.shell.com/static/rotella-en/images/products/synth_cj4.jpg The oil is about $20 for a one gallon bottle at Walley-World. GREAT protection at a great price. It has and OUTSTANDING additive package for wet clutch applications like our bikes. On a side note, I use a Purolater Pure One filter (part number PL14612) which I get at Advance Auto Parts where I get a 10% military discount. http://partsmart.boschwebservices.com/RB/NA/AUTO/AFTERMARKET/PARTSMART/PartSmartImages/PL14612.jpg This it probably the best filtering filter on the market. Another filter would be the proper sized EAO series filter from Amsoil, but the price including shipping is in my experience higher.
  17. So when will they start making PAR36 size lamps? Preferably with a low and high beam feature.......
  18. They are made by Optroincs and are model number QH-7CC Click HERE to go to the manufacturer web site. IF you dont like the bulbs that come in them, they use MR16 size bulbs that are available in MANY wattage and beam pattern options. Look in the low voltage lighting section of your hardware store, or for more options go to a lighting dealer. MR16 bulbs should cost under $10 each...down to $2 each.... but be SURE you get a bulb with a glass front as not all MR16 bulbs have a glass front..... These lamps from Optroincs are probably both the cheapest and least expensive of all the accessory lighting products on the market.
  19. [humor] How about a couple of flashlights held on with duct tape? Kinda like what this gentleman did, but with two lights instead of one.... http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3646/3382037233_6ecffc06ec.jpg [/humor] The above would definitely qualify as cheep..... but I don't know how inexpensive it would be.
  20. I too try not to flat spot tires, because you can stop in a shorter distance if you dont slide your tires......
  21. I stoped useing SeaFoam, and now I use Camp Fuel to clean my fuel systems.... My local Advance Auto Parts and NAPA both carry seafoam by the pint and gallon, HOWEVER it is IMHO expensive. I have shifted over to using products like Coleman Camp Fuel (Naptha) instead. For one gallon it costs about 1/3 the price and it is 2 times more concentrated, so it goes 6 times as far as Seafoam. I wish I could find more bargins like this. It does not have the alcohol to dry your fuel, but 99.9999% of the fuel I buy comes with 10% Ethanol from the pump, so fuel dryer is no longer needed............ Read the article HERE for more info
  22. The computer might not be concerned with the voltage being seen, but it may count the number of pulses from the sensor in a given time period, this would indicate cam shaft RPM. With the missing tooth, it knows were TDC for cylinder #1 is, then it knows in its' look up table how many pulses to TDC for the other cylinders. It uses this to know when to operate the fuel injectors, how long to have it operating for, and when to fire the spark plug. Over time, it can take information from the 02 sensor(s) to adjust the air to fuel mixture in an attempt to achieve the most efficient timing of the fuel and spark for the conditions at hand for that particular motor, IF the engineers put enough thought into the firmware. this would provide the operator with maximum power and maximum fuel economy for that engine. Of course our engines don't have the feedback loops like a formula 1 engine does, like one O2 sensor per cylinder.........but what if they did???????????????????
  23. The dealer that assembled my bike had the antennas switched. They see at most one RSV per year as they are a small dealership. OH, they also folded to the rear of the bike, NOT forward. It took me about 20 minutes to switch them and make them fold forward to be easy to put on a bike cover.
  24. IIRC there were three copies being sent around. One was an "international copy", which came to the US when there were no international requesters.
  25. Which Squid and which Harley are you talking about????? I am a Squid and own a 1950 FL that leaks oil by design. The primary chain and clutch are fed engine oil at a rate of one to two drops a minute and the primary cover has a hole in it so the used oil drips onto the ground..... BTW it is for sale.....
