  4. Good find!!!!! However I buy Camp Fuel for about $10 per gallon (128 oz) at Walmart or Target. It is 99% high grade Naphtha (don't buy hardware store Naphtha as it is not as refined as Camp Fuel) which is the cleaning ingredient in Seafoam which is about a 40% concentration. So I get more than twice the cleaning power for one fourth the cost.... better than a 8:1 ratio. Read the article that I got the info from HERE
  5. OH..... Thanks!!!!!!! I would still like to see the phone numbers pop up on my GPS..... Is this possible?????
  6. I have the 100 LED board and I like it. Now if they would make 9W LED turn signals for the front and rear......

  11. Is there any way to get the phone numbers and assistance offered loaded into the GPS files??? this would make it so I would not have to carry a paper copy with me on the road as I Could call the closest VR assistance from the side of the road..... also it looks like it mapped my location to the zip code center location, not my home...... did it do this for all members??????

  15. The answer is both. The volt meter will show you the voltage available in the system. The Ammeter will show the current (no pun intended) charge or discharge rate of the system. The volt meter will let you know if you are in imminent danger of an engine control module shut down due to insufficient voltage. the ammeter will let you know if your alternator is not keeping up with the demand placed on it. It lets you know if you should turn power off to something.
  16. The question is an oxymoron because there is no such thing as "Best Non-Essential BLING for your bike " as it is all fits in the category of "Safety Chrome"...........
  17. Can I up my order to two?????
  18. Actually i don't want a gold wing. I want at Valkyrie Interstate. it is the 2ng RSV styling with a boxster 6 from the gold wing. Honda made if for only a few years...... BUT they are only available used, I'll wait to see the 3rd Gen RSV looks like an performs like. Current styling, 200 HP, no cassette or CD player, and a five year warranty would be NICE!!!!!
  19. Instead of cheep parts, does anybody know where to get genuine Yamaha parts inexpensively?
  20. They did not list a VIN so they can actually sell you ANY bike....... Caveat Emptor
  21. IF the prototype works well for you, Put me down for one.
  22. I used about a half of a teaspoon to lube all three places. I applied it with an acid brush from the plumbing department of the hardware store that I cut the bristles off to about 1/4 to 3/8" long. You don't need much grease as it is just sliding forces..... Do the fingers on the clutch hub too........ I did.
  23. You wont get them at the auto parts store.... Take one of the bearings out and go to a bearing supply house in town.... They can measure them and get you rolling for cheep. OR look up the numbers at MSC.com
  24. it is not attenuation, but dispersion. IIRC in free space the power is dispersed by the cube of the distance.... BUT I would have to go out and measure it with a calibrated Sound Pressure Level Meter, which I don't have....
  25. I note that BikeDaft2 says he lives in Scotland and IIRC the european model does not have hazard flashing lights installed from the factory. I don't know what would be involved with installing factory parts, but if you look at the US service manual and parts listing you can find what is used (the are both free to download from the VRTech link on the left hand column on EVERY page here at THE forum), and compare it to the UK manuals to see the differences. If you can provide me with the UK manuals electronically, and if I can eek out some time, I might be able to let you know what is necessary, but you might have more fun and understand you bike better if you do it yourself. Pride of ownership goes up!!!!!!!! Good luck and PLEASE report back if you take on the project.
