I would use Honda Moly60 sparingly on the splines of the drive shaft (both ends) , the spline and the drive fingers of the clutch hub for long parts life......

did you weigh the wheel before you mounted it??? I wonder if there is a substantial change in un-sprung and rotational mass

And here I thought that H-D would be bringing their entire line up of motorcycles to the water cooled, four or more cylinder stage. Also, they would be bringing their reliability up to Yamaha's standards and adding a cassette deck to all of their bikes with stereos......

I think most people state it incorrectly. They are telling you to buy a narrower tire (130 vice 150), to decrease the radius of the tire across the tread. This will make the "coning" of the tire more pronounced with the same lean angle, which should decrease the turning radius with the same lean angle. This should make it easier to make tight turns in a parking lot. That and practicing what is shown in the Ride Like A Pro DVD... A lower aspect ratio would probably hurt you in the twisties as the coning of the tire would probably be decreased.

Sense you are going to be in the area, look at the road from Buckhanon Virginia to the Blue Ridge Parkway..... LOTS of twists and elevation change. RVs are prohibited...... Get off I81 at exit 168 drive through Buckhanon to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Go north on the Blue Ridge Parkway, ride one exit and go west on state route 618 Get back on I81 and head north....... Oh you might want to eat at the Pink Cadalac Diner neare Natural Bridge VA. I note only the second rider was constanaly sraping the pegs. I bet he was the winner due to higher speed and tighter turns... but of course I dont know the rules of that competition.

Where are you buying gasoline that does not have ethanol added????
-
they ARE pricey!!!!! at $366.92 I will not be purchasing them..... BUT if they want to send me one for testing, I would do a review of them here.....

I have used a cordless for YEARS and love them. It costs me less overall than blades and foam, but with a higher initial cost. Side-jack Monty, What rate were you???? In the photo it looks like you are/were an FC, but the low image quality and you were moving make sit difficult to tell. I ask this as I was a salty old Chief Firecontrolman...

The owners manual says to use regular not premium fuel. Kinda of a side-jack: If is it 10% Ethanol, can you still call it Galoline or do you have to call it fuel?????
-
The best bang for the buck comes as Camp Fuel. Costs less and cleans better.... about an 8:1 ratio compared to Seafoam.

I was wondering what hi-po is compared to medium-po and lo-po parts are. How would one measure the po of a part?
-
I agree, but I use a magnet to pick up the yoke after I remove the little silver plug. the plug is Reference No 12 on page E-1 of the parts manual. and I KNOW you used Honda Moly60 on all the splines (three places) and the drive pins on the clutch hub(connects the final drive to the rear wheel).

Nice museum piece,,,,IFf anybody would ever put a Venture in a museum.... The bike looks good but would require a lot of work to make it ride-able.

I was the one who posted about used Camp fuel insted of Seafoam. Dont buy seafoam. To save a LOT of money I use Naphtha sold as Coleman Camp fuel but don't buy Naphtha from the hardware store as it usually is not as high a grade as Camp Fuel is.It is normally sold in one gallon cans here in the US http://cn1.kaboodle.com/hi/img/2/0/0/a2/b/AAAAAuBqmA4AAAAAAKKzxg.jpg here is a re-post of info I posted before: Click HERE to see Seafoam's web site on where to buy it... an alternative is to use Coleman, or other brand of Camp Fuel at about 50% the concentration that you would use Seafoam as it does not have the alcohol that Seafoam has. I found this at www.answers.yahoo.com after readign the MSDS for both procucts, I would have to agree.

The people who make em claim they push the air to the highest point of the system, which to me makes sense, but I have not tried one yet.

The carbon fiber ones are much thinner, but your walllet will be much thinner too.
