  1. I like mine so far. The speed is very accurate and updates quickly when speed zones change. Haven't dug in the manual yet to see if I can enlarge the font size. The route map doesn't always keep the direction you are going to the top of the map. Sometimes on return trips it shows the travel arrow pointing down. I really like the portrait/landscape feature and the how easy it is to rotate it.
  2. Cool here, but no bugs. Enjoyed a 120 km evening ride. Love the sound of the HD pipes. Just enough bark under throttle, but quiet at cruising speed.😁
  3. I have this one so I will probably use it. The wiring harness has some funky wire colors, but I've got it laid out on paper. Wires for LED lights and GPS all terminate near the spot, so it should work good. If I add any load in the future I will add a mini(4) fuse box in the first mounting location. Thanks for the info.😎
  4. Started the mock up for HD mufflers today. Need to fab up a couple of brackets for rear mount.
  5. Might go with this spot under the rear tank rubber. Need to replace grade 8 bolt with a stainless one.
  6. p Front/back or side of frame?. I did some test fits in the area under tank on bith sides where cables and hoses came out of the protectors behind the intake crossovers and it seemed very tight. Thanks
  7. I've been playing around with locations to mount a relay on my 09 Venture. I've added a GPS and pulled the wires back to the battery. The previous owner added some LED strip lights under the fuel tank and I'm going to connect them to the relay too. Not much load, and my bike doesn't have driving lights. I've thought about adding a mini fuse box just below the relay so each load has its own connection point. Can't get to a parts store for a couple weeks, so that may be added later. Any better locations close to battery to mount the relay? Pics would be appreciated. Thanks.
  8. Asked in 2nd Gen last summer when I thought about adding a relay. Didn't get an answer, so I though I'd try again to a broader audience. 😉
  9. So I'm adding a relay for aux LED lights and GPS. Wondering where others have mounted relays on Gen 2 bikes. Mine is 2009. Looking somewhere close to battery and I will run a wire from relay to bars for GPS so I don't have to split the fairing. Pic of where you mounted relay would be appreciated. Thanks
  10. Looks like I'm adding rear brake pads to the list.
  11. Still probably 6 weeks till first ride here. I have a long gravel driveway that has about 8" of ice on it. Keeps me from riding till all the gravel is swept off the roads. Started some upgrades for this year. 1. Adding a set of 2014 HD mufflers. My stock ones were gutted by PO and are like straight pipes. Too loud at cruising speed. Will fab up new rear brackets next week. 2. Got a TomTom motorcycle GPS for Christmas. Need to decide where it will sit on the bars and where to get power to wire it up. 3. Add some aux power for extra LED accent lights under tank. 4. Swap rear brake pads while bags are off.t 5. Flush rear brakes with new fluid.
  12. Thanks for the report. Got to love mens motorcycle sizing!! Looks like those of us with large waist and stumpy legs would be out of luck in these.
  13. View more than I participate, but the information here is priceless!!!
