  1. I picked up a drivers seat w/o backrest on ebay. I would check there also.
  2. How much pressure are you running in your back shock?
  3. Hi Keith, Fume as in gas smell? Exactly where are they cracked. Recently on my 07, I've been smelling gas fumes and cannot figure out where it is coming from. Cheers, Leonard
  4. Well, if after the rejet, etc if you still need to work on it, let me know. I have all the tools including the carbtune, etc. We're fairly close to each other. Cheers, Leonard
  5. Have you modified the air intake? put in K&N filters? Cheers, Leonard
  6. What problems are you having? I've heard that slipons do not require rejetting. Cheers, Leonard
  7. My wife and I both have the Tourmaster Intake Jacket. It's a complete mesh jacket that comes with two internal liners. A rain liner and a quilted liner for cold weather: http://www.tourmaster.com/xcart/product.php?productid=43&cat=3 We also have the Venture Air pants which comes with the same system: http://www.tourmaster.com/xcart/product.php?productid=227&cat=4 I highly recommend both. Cheers, Leonard

  9. What is the difference in sound level between the Khromewerks and Bubs? I'm leaning towards the bubs, but the chrome peeling doesn't sound too good. Cheers, Leonard

    there is a god

Absolutely amazing. Someone's angel was definitely breathing hard!! Cheers, Leonard
  11. Now that's funny right there. Don't care what you say!! Leonard
  12. Hi, The Dynatek D3K7-5 shows to be compatible only up to 2005. I've tried to get help from Dynatek and can't get a response from them. Does this unit work with the 2007 RSV? Cheers, Leonard
  13. I did not install the sealed beam lights: STR-4XY35-10-00. I installed the halogen passing lamps: STR-4NK35-10-01 which are for the V-Star; That is how you get the correct glass to use the H3. If you change to these, you will need to extend the wiring a little bit to work. Cheers, Leonard
  14. Ok, let me rephrase that. The bank paid $19K, and then I put another $6500 in it with accessories. Cheers, Leonard
  15. Anything for a motorcycle is a load of dough!! Paid 19K for the 07, and have already put $6500 in accessories for it. Still got another $1500 or so to go. Leonard
  16. I haven't had any problems. The PIAA use the same amount of power, but supply twice the light. So the 35/70W use 35Watts of power, but supply light equivalent to 70Watts. Even with the passing lamps and motolights on at the same time, I'm still in the green on the voltmeter. Cheers, Leonard
  17. Hi Smokee, I'm running the caliper version on my '07. I also have the PIAA 35/70 lights in the passing lamps. The Venture handles those fine. http://secure.electronicart.com/www_motolight_com/viewItem.asp?idProduct=1071 I also installed a Kuyrakyn Voltmeter on the bike, so I can monitor the charging. I installed both sets of lights using a power plate, relays and a switch box. Pics are attached. Cheers, Leonard
  18. Thanks for the info. I picked up a 99 RSV seat last night on ebay. It doesn't have the pillow top, so it's supposed to be a little harder than the one I have now. If that doesn't work, I guess I'm on my way to having a custom one made. Ouch!! Leonard
  19. I have a 2007 RSV and the drivers seat is not working for me. After 50 or so miles, my hips are hurting, I'm developing monkeybutt, etc. But my wife loves her seat. I've added a sheepskin pro pad to the drivers seat and that helps a lot, but still not comfortable for a long ride. So I'm open to suggestions. Does anyone make replacement seats for the driver alone? I also already have a 3rd party drivers backrest and don't want to lose it. Best Regards, Leonard
  20. I've seen other posts that state that it is an issue with the connector from the controller that is located under the fairing. You'll need to open the fairing up, open the connector, apply some dialectric grease on it and plug it back together. Should be good to go after that. Cheers, Leonard
  21. My arms are bent more and the countersteering is much easier. Got to add some pressure to the front forks though. You almost feel like you're on a chopper or something. Very comfortable for those of us without long arms. Leonard
  22. Got Larry's bracket and installed it without a problem. Be careful on that first test. Make sure the garage door is open. I had the door open and when I tested it, my wife jumped in the back yard. Leonard
  23. A quick update. After input from several of you, I've upgraded to the Flanders bars from BuckeyePerformance.com, ISO grips and installed the leveling links from DiamondR on my 2007 RSV. WOW!!! what a difference. Got to learn to ride the bike all over again. I also added passing lamps, "fog lights", a Kuryakyn voltmeter and switch box. The lights are run on separate circuits with relays through a power plate located in the trunk. I highly recommend these upgrades. Best Regards, Leonard
  24. Hi Jerry, Did you notice a difference between the two? Leveling links vs lowering the front forks. Did one handle better than the other? Leonard
