  1. Hey, Bill, those are some great pictures you take - thanks for sharing those with us. I like the way you shared your story with the verbiage and pics.
  2. Yup, Squid, we know where he lives - heehee. There will be no escape!!! Hope everything works out for you, Tom. Just hope it is comfortable for your co-pilot cause if not, ...... you might get slapped in the head - heehee:rotf:
  3. That's a cool looking vest - interesting.
  4. That was way too easy. Next.
  5. I agree - time to feed the Pond Monster. That bike just don't look comfortable, Don - looks like you would be slouched over to far for those handlebars. IF ANYTHING, PUT THE DANG MOTOR IN IT.
  6. Welcome Home, Cindy - NOW DALE - CLEAN THE DANG HOUSE!!!!!!!! Only kidding, you guys - have a great one.
  7. :rotf::rotf::rotf:NICE TRY
  8. Wishing you a speedy recovery, Big Bob. You're in our thoughts and prayers.
  9. Hey, bro - that look's awesome - congrats on getting some work done on that bike. I've been wanting to light mine up for a while - and that is one of the winter projects I'm looking to do. Good on you and Sandy.
  10. Hey, guys, it was GREAT to have you both at the rally - thanks so much for getting to all work out. I love the handles - SilvrT & Pinta Nina. We will defintiely get started on working out the intial information for next year - so we all can plan the re-union. It is going to be the big 5 year anniversary rally, ya know.
  11. Hey, Gene - I would think then that those saddlebag liners would fit a RSTD - and do you have a pattern for the Harley Tour Pak?
  12. I got my new tires earlier this year from Cycle Gear - and had them install a right angle on the front tire. The base of that stem was rubber. On the way to VWIV last week, that stem gave out - it had developed a crack at the base. It wasn't fun trying to control the bike and get it pulled over - when we found the problem - we thought we "temporarily" fixed it - we did for about 2 miles - and it gave out again - that time it was much harder to control to get off the road. Talking with a mechanic at Hell Bent Choppers - in San Juan Batista - great guys who got me back on the road very quickly (and they didn't care that the bike was metric vs. American or one of their awesome chopper creations) - he mentioned that often that front 90 degree will just barely touch the rotor - and as such, could develop that failure at the base. I will NEVER again put a 90 degree on that front - they had a vertical stem and that is what I am staying with. I actually called Yamaha to order what I thought would be a stock metal vertical stem, but the parts guy told me the rubber vertical is what came stock on those rims for my 05 RSTD.
  13. BACA has a fairly large presence here in California. In fact, at VentureWest IV, the last night, 3 members from Los Angeles stayed at the same motel we were in - coming back from a ride - or mission - to Nor Cal - somewhere up in the Sacramento area I believe. Here, in my opinion, they do have respect for their cause - some of the guys are pretty "rough" looking (not making a generalized statement), but those whom I have met are 200% behind their cause. I would be happy to try and get some information for you from couple of them who live around me - let me know.
  14. What's a menu bar - is that some new kind of Chocolate Bar?:confused24::rotf:You're always up to making our lives easier around here, Don, thanks.
  15. Though Larry could only join us for a small portion of the weekend, here are couple of shots he got.
  16. AWESOME PICS, JACK - THANKS FOR GETTING THOSE UP AND SHARING. I'M READY TO GO RIDING AGAIN, BUT WITH A METAL VALVE STEM - :rotf:
  17. Wow - that is some cool artwork - really like the saddlebag.
  18. Squid, to the best of my knowledge, they don't. They put the cruise control switches there instead.
  19. JACK, YOU NEED TO SHARE SOME OF THAT GOOD STUFF AT VRIV.
  20. I'll agree with Condor on that - check out the pics in my gallery. I got a Venture rack, and mounted a TourPak. Takes a little ingenuity to "seed" it right, but at the end of the day, a much better trunk. You can't purchase a RSV trunk unless you find one on EBAY, or junk yard. Yamaha only sells them bolt by bolt, nut by nut, etc - I looked into that and stopped at $2,200.00 without speakers. There are knock off Harley trunks, I have seen them. They are OK, but don't have the quality of the Harley trunk. Good luck.
  21. I and the wife sat on one for about 10 minutes at the IMS show here in the Bay Area last year. We both thought it was very comfortable - though Barb has a smaller frame, possibly. Having said that, I might think regardless of that fact, with hip work done, it may be hard to get on and off. Also, my BIGGEST complaint was the lack of storage - specifically in the saddlebags. The trunk was OK, but the bags sucked big time for me. Just my two cents.
  22. Hey, Brian - don't have any secrets to share - that is a great looking route, however. Will look forward to meeting you on the 14th. Drive/ride safe, bud.
  23. Brian, I liked those pics of your lights on that bar. I notice two different settings? Is there a high and low to those lights - and if they are high, how would you see the turn signal? Those are sharp, I have always liked those.
