  1. Wow - that site is cool - I just signed up and sent myself something for this weekend. Now I have to learn how to use it - but I liked the gas station (funny they are all Shell) pop-ups, and the scenic roads was interesting. Thanks for sharing.
  2. Geat song and voice - pretty girl. Good luck to her and thanks for sharing.
  3. Interesting - if the Voyager is as good as it looks - hyped up to be - I'm thinking that coming in around 16,500 - 18K will be a super competitive price in this targeted market place.
  4. Hey, Ken - now that is funny. Owen, thanks (maybe not) for sharing that story as I had just gone through the same situation last month on our ride to Venture West IV. Mine was a cracked valve stem - I had put a right angle (don't ever do that) stem on the front tire - and somehow it developed a small crack at the base where it goes into the rim. Also, I had my bike towed as well - and the guy cinched down the front so hard I now have a blown seal in the front air forks - going to need to get those replaced over the winter under warranty. I was stupid - we thought we had "fixed" the crack in the stem when I finally got the bike off the road the first time, with some of that fix it flat stuff (and duck tape - no air seemd to escape), I got two miles down the road and it blew again - so I got a two "tank slapping rides" for one experience - LOL. I've never had a flat in a vehicle - let alone a bike - so to say that that is an experience I never want to have again, is a true statement. Glad it all worked out for ya.
  5. I know this isn't Venture/T D etc related, but I have a friend of mine who is looking for a place where his brother could purchase V-Star patches ,emblems, and other items .He also is looking for a larger ,bigger chrome and emblem for his windshield. He rides a 2002 V-Star classic 1100 cc I figured possibly some of you guys might have an answer - I did tell him to check the V STAR boards for stuff. Thanks, anyone, for the help.
  6. What - no one is humgry :rotf::confused24:. We will be heading up there - rain or shine for some good finger licking ribs. Just thought I would bump this up.
  7. Hey, George - I see they have a place in SF - I don't get over to the city often, but possibly if you don't get anywhere, I could check it out the next time I'm over there.
  8. I had received that informatoin at work -so I sent it around and the Snopesters in our office got on my case that is isn't true. Maybe - maybe not. I know for a fact though that before I sent that e-mail out - I had gotten 3 telemarketing calls - so somehow the number(s) are getting out there. It only took me 15 seconds to do that do not call list call, I did, we'll see what happens.
  9. Wow, thanks guys - this will definitely be a project here coming up in a couple of months with some things to consider. Appreciate the feedback.
  10. GRRRRRR THANKSS I'll get it one of these YEARS!!!!!!!:crying:
  11. Yamaha FJR1300 Not so sure about that answer - that was kind of different and fun, though.
  12. Jeff, couple of (probably stupid) questions. Let it be known I don't to my own work on my bike - and am totally NOT mechanically inclined. My Tour Deluxe is an '05, but bought brand in Jan of 06 - with 37,123 miles on it. Last weekend, went to start the bike, dead battery - I have the stock - now three years old battery. Charged it up with a CTECH - started - no problems. I am going to replace that battery with an Odyssey. But, reading your comment above about the Signal Dynamics meter, mine always hangs around in yellow - one or two lights - never green - and that is even if I have the driving lights / heated grips off. I also never seen it dip below the yellow either. Do you - or those mechanically inclined here - think I need to change out the stator/rectifier - similar to what you have done? Somewhere on this site, I think (and I'll do a search) of what stator you guys are replacing the stock on with - any (other) recommendations? Would those parts be covered under the warranty? I'm sure a battery wouldn't, but how about the stator/rectifier? I have a bunch of electrical stuff on the bike - but don't usually turn everything on while I am driving. Any thoughts - comments - appreciated in advance, thanks.
  13. Hey, that is pretty clever.
  14. After listening to their demo on their site, there sure seems to be a tremendous difference in the sound quality between the Edsets and J & M's which I have - and as soon as I can swing it, plan on switching over to the Edsets. I know the music sounded 200% better, when people communicate - is that clearer and/or crisper as well?
  15. Hey, Ron and Linda, that's super that things are starting to turn around for you. I used to visit Vegas every year for business trips - haven't been there in quite a while, probably wouldn't recognize it. Keep up the good news/work - hopefully see you guys on the road soon.
  16. Hey, Rick - what's this and a new bike????????? You can still ride your bike to VW V - don't need a new one!! I like the Vision - those front lights on that fairing are somewhat cool when you see that bike coming at ya. Still can't deal with the saddlebags, though.
  17. Great looking bikes - both of them. Enjoy the ride once you get over here - and watch out for the pond at Don's place :rotf:
  18. Condor - - you shouldn't have worn your 1st GENS RULE, Jacket.
  19. I've always mentioned I liked the bike - interesting the two comments on the ride. The only major issue I ever had were the saddlebags - there is no room in those bags. Starting to see a few of them on a daily basis around here.
  20. John, I was going to mention the same thing. Only thing I could think of is that it isn't a new model - and they wonder why the sales are off on the Venture/T D.
  21. Back by popular demand, we will be heading up to Woodland, CA for lunch at LUDY'S MAIN ST BBQ http://www.ludys.com. Will the weather gods hold up so DK and M can make it over the mountain on the new bike? Which color first gen will Condor ride? Will the kids behave to let EasyRider and Leggs have an afternoon off? Remember, this is an eating club with a riding disorder - and this place has some of the best western style ribs arounds. Ride route and time for lunch to be posted soon.
  22. Mark, I was wondering the same thing about the guy hunched over. And, I would have to agree with others - this might be a hit at the IMS shows or local dealership this year - much as the Vision was last year. I understand a concept of "if it ain't broke ......", but I also think the other mfg's are listening to their customers, maybe reading the various boards, and at least entertain some of the suggestions people request, etc. If Kawi prices this right, this could get interesting in my opinion.
  23. Was there a trailer in that picture:rotf::rotf:
  24. My belief is - but I am not 100% sure - is that they are the same bag.
