  1. Happy Easter to you and your family - big hugs from Barb and myself.
  2. Mine is a little different - you could check it out in my gallery.
  3. I'm really torn on this. If you shop around, you can get the 550's for around the $650.00 range - the 660 will stay at retail for a while, I bet. I love the screen on the 660 - and the lane assist, etc. I have a J & M unit on my RSTD - and an XM radio - so I am thinking if I went with the 550 - I could lose the XM Roady - and have everything in one as they say. With the 660, I would still need to have the Roady which is OK. I just wonder how I would hook everything up - I don't have bluetooth so I don't know how I would hear that obnoxious voice (you missed your turn, dummy - ). I am tecknology challenged - and know if I got the 550 - many wise people here could assist. What to do - hmm............................
  4. Hey, Bummer - maybe you have discoverd an additional safety feature ? Doing that, the cagers would really know and hear your intentions - :rotf:. Good luck.
  5. You guys are killing me with these GORGEOUS trikes - that looks awesome, George - great job. Enjoy the miles - those look so comfy you might just keep riding on and on and on........ have fun.
  6. Welcome back, Don - glad to hear your home - sorry to hear about the rigors of the eye for now. Be patient - that will take some time - but will get better as you move through your treatments, etc. As others have said, please take it easy. We know this is you second love - you are awesome and have provided us with so much, and working on this site may take your mind off of your health matters for the moment, but it is time to also kick back and take care of Don. We love you, bro, and you are in our thoughts and prayers for a healthy / speedy (as speedy as can be) recovery.
  7. That's the Zumo 660 - I wonder if they are shipping it yet?
  8. Great news, Don - take it easy - thanks for sharing your updates with us.
  9. Cindi, you and Dale remain in Barbara's and my thoughts and prayers each day. You both are strong people - and decisions you make - may be tough - but right for you - and your family. Hang in there, both of you, and know that though we are out here in California, we are there for you. Blessing to your family.
  10. Vic, wow, glad to hear you came out of this OK.
  11. great article and reminder for us - thanks for sharing.
  12. Those do look really cool - and different. Does anyone know if you can just buy the lense and chrome cover - or do you have to replace the tail light unit?
  13. I don't know about those lights. I just ordered a pair of these after a friend of mine installed them on his bike. THESE THINGS ARE BRIGHT - and look good as well. Maybe a little pricey - but if you want some light at night, these should do the trick. http://trailtech.net/single_hid_scmr16.html
  14. Hey, Rick, those are pretty cool looking lights you mounted - good job.
  15. To steal Freebird's welcome to this site: Welcome BLACK OWL! We are glad that you have (re)joined. There are no strangers here, no cliques and no outsiders. Join right in and you will be warmly accepted. We hope that you will introduce yourself and post often. :rotf:
  16. Sorry to hear this news. Thoughts and prayers for all for a speedy recovery - and "glad" to hear things weren't more serious.
  17. I've got the Harley TourPak on my RSTD -- must say - it holds twice as much as a Venture Trunk. I had wanted the Venture trunk - couldn't find one at the time - but am very happy with my TourPak.
  18. What Mariner said - and also I take from reading that story is the guy must have been going rather fast on that bike to get thrown that far? Sad - though stupidity was involved here, thoughts and prayers for all.
  19. Jeff, that is just an awesome set up you have. WOW. Not to knock any of the other guys who have triked their bikes on this site, I do like Jerry's (I think that is his name) RSTD trike - and his color match - but your's is incredible. You might have already mentioned this somewhere, but is that a standard kit they put on the bike, or did you modify that rear end? Great job
  20. That was funny. Mine is the same way - my dogs know the sound of my bike - start barking - the wife goes and opens the door as I am pulling around the corner into our cul de sac - voila. NOW, I have to train the DOGS to open the door when the wife is on the bike with me for a ride - they haven't mastered jumping up that high yet to hit the switch - :rotf:
  21. :confused24:That's crazy - never heard of something like that before. Hope he can get off that one.
  22. I was wondering the same thing as Condor. I have a friend who just purchased a 2009 Screaming Eagle tourer - and it has something on it where it shuts something off (I'm not mechanically inclined) to prevent the overheating issues they used to have on those bikes.
  23. Any real noticable difference between the Michelin's and the Avons? I'm thinking that the 150/80 16 71H TL-TT (front) and the 150/90-15 M/c 74 H TL / TT (whatever all those numbers/letters mean) are the correct Michelins for an '05 Tour Deluxe? I have had 2 sets of Avon's - loved them - thinking about trying out these Michelins.
  24. That red is a pretty color - one of the guys in my STAR chapter has one as well - dig the chrome and the look on it.
  25. ?????????? - where the pics????????
