I love my Zumo as well . Just recently hooked a FM modulator to use in the cage . I hear everything through my stereo speakers , even the cellphone . Using a cable to either plug into the AUX or splitter under the fairing is the best bet . Also if you want cell , get with BuddyRich for his cables . BEER30

I carry as well when on the road . It may be on my body or secured within a locked compartment depending on the circumstances . When I take a brief rest at a rest area , it's normally with a finger pull away ! I have witness many a crimes that have threaten or caused bodily harm to other motorist from goons and thugs praying on the elderly at rest areas . I have seen people mugged in parking lots of motels and restaurants . I personally was involved when my dad and myself stopped to help some young teenagers suppossably broken down on the side of the road , to find some others awaiting in the bushes to crack my dad over the head with a tire iron ! Left my dad unconscious and myself stranded out in the middle of nowhere . I have seen motorcyclist pulled to the ground , caught off guard as they could not balance the scoot and get away . At least in a cage , you can get away much easier . Now I have only had to lay a rifle up on the hood once , just to show some jerks that I will not tolerate any non-sense . I hope I do not have to do it again . I was taught not to draw a weapon , unless I was prepared to use it . I'm not scared to use it either , if it deems necessary to protect my family , friends , the innocent by-standers , or myself . I'm personally handicapped and somewhat physically challenged . A weapon in the right hands , with the right mind is a great equalizer ! BEER30

Going to have to do a clutch job here soon on the 2nd Gen . Trying to decide on the Barnett conversion with OEM fiber disk , or PCW HD Clutch Spring kit with extra friction disk ? Have nearly 30K on the '06 , 8K pulling trailer . I'm starting to fill a little slippage in the clutch when I do a hard acceleration . I can baby it and it's OK for a mild trip . But why take a chance on making the it worse . I heard PCW is cheaper in price to do , but I want better quality (not knowing which is better), so cost is not an issue . I have not done a clutch job in over 30 years , so kinda out of the loop , you might say ! TIA BEER30

Gosh ....Darn ! Cold ya say ? Well if that how ya feel about it , I guess I will just head northward then , to where it is just so-so cold for a ride . Maybe hit every DQ along the way to put a little chill in my tummy . Maybe ride up back home to Alaska for a spell or stop by Charlie's to raid his beer stash . Hey guys and gals , BEER24/7 and I will be attending the Shot Show in Las Vegas , Feb 2-5th . http://www.shotshow.com/App/homepage.cfm?moduleid=1968&appname=100300 . For any of you gun nuts , LEO's , hunting and camping , and military people or local members that might be there as well , here's an oppertunity to meet up with one another . We will arrive on the 1st and depart afternnon of the 4th , staying at the Imperial Palace on the strip . Don't have any actual planned outside the Shot Show hours other than robbing the one armed bandits and consuming all the alcohol that is placed in front of me . Only renting a car for the first day and riding the monorail or footing it the remaining time . Considered renting a HD .
