The Muffin's and myself will be headed up I-77 later today . We will have to wait till Muffinman gets off of work first . We will be caging it due to some unplanned circumstances . Leaving my house around 4:30 pm . . 10 hour trip for us , so we will roll in in the wee-hours of the mourning . So I'll be sure to wake everybody up ! BEER30

Russel , Does the camera have a cable to hook up to the computer ? If so , try downloading it with the cable . I sometimes get occasionally a prompt that my SD card needs to be formatted on my laptop with a few of my cards , so I have to use the cable too . BEER30

Yes , getting the Zumo and the GMX-30 was a bit pricey (hee-hee) but it's worth it. With a FM modulator you can transfer to the cage . Now if you use on the scoot , transfer to the IC using BuddyRich's wire connector and use the AUX and get uninterrupted prompts , cell , and tunes . In the past , I was the type of guy if you could get free radio , why pay for it . But riding in and out of radio station's ranges , I got tire of the poor reception and constantly having to find some good tunes all the time . It's an alll-n-one setup and has the benefit of a huge amount of resources. Go for it , you will not regret it ! BEER30

Eck , I know you were making a funny , and it does appear to looks like he himself made out to be a Virgin ! :rotf: But for those whom do not know , I believe seforeman did the most HONORARY task of this event . Gold Star Mothers are those Mothers whom lost sons and daughters in the war . A sacrifice that no Mothers never wants to endure . To escort them , to have them ride on the back of your scoot is truly an Honor to do ! Also this is "NOT A PARADE", ........It's a Demonstration ride . To show support for our fallen , missing , and POW's both past and present . It is also to show the politicians that the public wants action , to quit tippie-toeing through political bureaucracy ! Our Chapter President along with 6 other including Artie Muller (Founder and Director) of RT met with President Bush to get House Amendment 111 signed into action before he leaves office , after Mrs. Nancy Poluski (SP?) squashed the Bill in front of over 280 signed delegates of Congress . She thinks the rights of Gays are more important than our lost , missing and injured serviceman and women ! With this day of so-called political correctness , our government has reclassified their status when missing to where they do not receive the little benefits they once had to save the government some $$ as they are either missing or captured . They suspend their pay and benefits until they are recovered ! That's BS !!!!!!!!!! So saying after joining this organization , they support other military and community issues . BEER30

Where were ya Kid ? As for me , I was busy as a member of RT . Our chapter did the security for the Pentagon parking lot and during the events at the Reflection Pool along at the Wall Friday night . I was honored to be in the first 100 or so bikes in the demonstration ride . I pulled security up front and on the sides of the stage and got to meet several movie stars and higher up people . Oh yeah , What a great feeling to do over 65 mph over the Potomac bridge (35 mph) ! And that was not during the demonstration ride . And yes , I got kicked out of the Library of Congress . A little thing called pocket knives and a little women with an anal attitude in Homeland Defense ! Several minutes later to get greeted by 2 Capitol Motorcycle Cops , whom I thought was still after me , only that they wanted to see my scoot up close . Then trying to find other POI's , a parking spot (had the BEERCART), they gave BEER24/7 and I a lighted MC escort and made us a parking space in front of the Capital Bldg. , along with a special verbal tour of places to go ! Thank you Officers Nutter and Bell ! . Your going to receive a gracious letter sent to your Commander on how GREAT you too were to help us out ! . Overall , I seen at least 5 RSV members(not frequent members) , but non the less and over 2 dozen RSV and only one 1st gen . Saw Bubba (was at RiderDukes and Nate's M & E) there with CMA . The CMA did a spectacular job helping out with water , peanut butter and crackers and other things to help the MC community . You all did Great guys ! Also passed RiderDuke as he was heading to Ruffy's . There was over 840,000 MC there , days were beautiful too ! Went to a Italian restaurant and you think I was bad at Dick's , well.......what can I say ? I still have to get caught up with the video's and pic's until I post . I will most likely be going to this event each year ! BEER30

Kickstands up 0630 Friday heading to DC , with Rolling Thunder NC-5 ! First time going and I understand we will be doing Security in the Pentagon Parking Lot . Also escorting the Gold Star Mothers to the Wall as well one of those weekend evenings along with other ceremonies . So if anyone else is going , I should be in the first 100 scoots starting the Demonstration and will be staying at the Hyatt Reagency in Crystal City . Returning home on Monday . Going to be a busy weekend for BEER24/7 and I . BEER30

I got the liner for the wife and she just loves it . I myself like some coolness and do not wear any electrical clothing . But hey , if she's happy , I do not care how much it cost ! As far as power consumption , I'm still pushing an average of 13.9 on the amp gauge . My battery status light always remains in the green . With all the lights , modulators , trailer lights , XM , GPS , and other accessories , like V-Cam running off an 110 inverter , I have not even dipped into the yellow on the battery gauge . We did not get the liner until early spring , so the wife did not experience any of the below freezing temps like she did one night that almost ended my life . As we returned back from Savannah to the motel room . After she warmed up , or shall I say thawed out , she was hotter than a stick of dynamite ! Now she doesn't bat an eyebrow when I say it's going to be a bit cold now . That liner was the best darn piece of equipment for the scoot to keep my baby warm . Now she keeps me warm in return ! But with a person with a tad bit of common since would ponder on the thought a little bit more to figure what the intentions of the MC driver is doing , plus the fact that is does make the cager more aware that there is a MC approaching . First people need to be educated on what they are . Also be educated what they mean . Then educated on looking a little bit harder to see what the MC is doing . So adding all this education means that they slow down , look , and THINK and then give the MC the same respect as a cager . Now we need is our bright colored Pink , Yeller , Red helmets to light up and strobe ! BEER30

I have noticed that people see me more now since I use the modulator . Shouldn't actually be a debate on that subject . Now how the modulator is interpreted would be more the topic on hand . I had cagers pull over thinking I am LEO , to totally ignoring me . Cagers on cell phone , eating , day dreaming , reading books , text messaging , to "you two need to get a room" , do as they darn well please or go out of their way to possibly cause an accident . Certain people just do not care ! It has and always will be up to the MC rider to make the decision on how they drive and the way the cager nearby drives . I have my modulator on all the time , It has helped , it has gotten people mad at me to voice their opinion verbally at a red light , but hey , they saw me . Now questions and topic nobody has addressed yet , FRONT TURN SIGNALS ! With passing lamps and headlights all centrally located in a small amount of space . Most turn signals on some scoots are barely visible when activated as driving lights drown out them . Perhaps turn signals up on the mirrors , spread out at further points , or down low around the highway pegs . We worry about how little light we have in the rear , but not too much yelling about the amount and visibility up in front ! BEER30

The insurance company does not want the insured to file a lawsuit . Being if the victim files a lawsuit against the the defendant , then the insurance company cannot file claim against them as it would become "Double Jeopardy" , I think . The insurance company want themselves to place a lawsuit against the defendant so they can suck the blood out of a turnip to recover THEIR lose . They do not care if the victim recovers their loses . Back when I had my accident , I did settle on the vehicle , but not on my medical or to release the drunk hit-n-run driver . As I was being treated by my Dr. whom really never put a proper diagnosis on me , the insurance company told me they were going to cut my medical from me . I wrote the Ins. company a nice letter saying that it's notmy fault that the Dr. has not come to a conclusion and I will still remain going to Dr.'s till I get a proper diagnosis and they will still remain paying for it . If they did not continue paying for my medical , I will construe this as an "ACT OF BAD FAITH" ....... Now that got their attention ! The Ins. companies hate them words and they continued paying for my medical . Now I did go to court , I receive the limits of the policy on both mine and the other party plus 10 years of medical at no $ limit . Even the judge ruled in his judgment that the other party did act in BAD FAITH in his ruling . They were going to appeal , but I suspected something like this was going to happen , so I had my attorney draw up papers in advance to serve while in court of BAD FAITH claim . So they settled out of court at a much higher settlement to avoid embarrassment to the insurance company and the drunk driver , whom still served jail time for his mistake . BEER30

Dan , Each state governs it's own insurance companies , I believe . Now your insurance company is only obligated to pay out in the amount of the policy you had . So is the insurance company the other guys has . Anything more will involve a day in court or legal binding arbitration . Question is , Do you both have the same insurance company ? . If so , thats a tuffy , as they are playing both sides of the fence . Was the driver cited ? If so , get the DA behind you and take him to court . Look to see if there are programs that offer free legal counseling or advice . Also call some of the Law Schools & Universities that allow legal students and professors to practice law in the court . I'm assuming that the Correctional Dept. where you work has a lawyer that may steer you towards the right direction , if you have asked already . Just a thought . BEER30

I notice not to much of a difference between the two , other than there is less bug juice in the V-Nose ! It also depends on what your pulling it with , that will deflect forthcoming wind resistance . I've talked to guys with rear spoilers pulling the wind down in the rear to stir up the vacuum that a flat backed trailer creates and they say the spoilers help pretty good . BEER30
