    When I was a kid , dad and I built one . I believe it weighed around 150 lbs . Tear drop with a tip out for camping . Made it out of 1/8 marine grade veneer with 1/2 oz fiberglass skin . 45" wide and I think it was 50ish" long . With the lid open , extended floor flipped out . Tent canopy filled in the open spots . Frame was 1" square tubing with 12" tires . I wish I had pictures of it , but do not . BEER30

    Today , along 155 mm on NC I-95 north bound as we were heading up North , we lost another biker . From what I could monitor on the CB , a cager forced a brother into the medium . He didn't make it ! BEER24/7 and I were maybe 1/2 hour behind him when it happened . Twice if not 3 times in our travels today , I had to lay onto the air horns and take evasive action because of cagers and their reckless driving coming home from the holiday . Impatient cagers , switching lanes back and forth to try to gain a little ground going home . We had planned on getting far north of Winchester VA today , but traffic was bad . From riding the clutch speed to 45 mph from King's Dominion to Fredrichburg , stop and go . We hoped off of 95 onto 17 and what a relief to start traveling again . We finally stopped for the night , refresh ourselves and to get a fresh start in the a.m. . Maybe the cagers will be nice tomorrow ! BEER30

    Or I can show you a real pond monster if you come to the coast . Did I tell you we have a great big huge pond ! Yesterday I was 20 miles off shore fishing . But that tropical storm is heading for the front door this week . BEER30

    Yep , it's that dangerous ! I don't think 100mph tape will help not one bit . I remember Don's M-day '07 , when Sleeperhawk rear (tire that is) got a bald spot on it . It grew fast . We hobbled on in , but slowed down our speed and took more frequent stops to let the tire cool off . We tried to sweet talk the Mechanic to ride with another rider , but she's too much in love with her "Man" ( OK , where in the heck is the "In Love" smilies ?) . We will be leaving here in a few hours when the rain path subsides a little . I'll check back in if ya still need the tire . If I do not hear from ya , I'm leaving it here . BEER30

    Hate to admit , but HD dealership are open on Sunday . I do have a brand new Michelin Commander for the rear . But I will not be in that area or closet to Buffalo until Monday evening . I'm leaving in the mourning . If you want me to bring it , I can . Just let me know . BEER30

    If plans go well , BEER24/7 and I will be leaving here on Sunday . Taking approx 2 short days to get to Niagara Falls . We are not making definite plans , just flowing with the wind . We do plan on seeing some of the local POI's and perhaps we can get together as well . Depending on the time , we plan on a day trip to the rally . We have a lot of miles ahead of us , as we have other destinations to go to while on our vacation . My cell is listed in my profile and I have Don's # in my cell directory already .     I have planer's and I have down-rigger's . I like using the planers closer to shore . Down-rigger's when we are 20 or more miles offshore . Depending on what we are fishing for , being Blues , Spanish , or Kings will determine the size of planer , speed , use of Bally-hoo or spoons . I just miss my Dupont lures ! :rotf: BEER30

    Yeah , that was me giving you a "HARD" time ! Your glad I didn't leave a message talking Hair-lipped , at which I do to the drive up windows at Mickey-Dees or Booger King . Freaks them out mostly , . I was going to give you a call back , but it either gets to late or busy . I'll try to give you a shout later on . BEER24/7 and I will be leaving most likely Sunday towards Niagara Falls and up to the rally if all goes well . We have a long trip ahead of us as we will be zig-zagging back on our way home . We want to go to NY , Skyline Dr. , and many more POI's , so the rally may be a 1 day event for us . Also want to hit as many states as possible to paint the map ! Scoot is all serviced , BEERCART ready to roll and already have a couple of cases of BEER loaded . Just have to finish up this weeks worth of work , fishing and BBQ on the 4th . Then till the 13th is all ours to have some fun . BEER30 BEER30

    Besides pressing the lower right while navigating , press the top banner above the map (top of screen) and the map will turn into text , giving detailed directions . There you can read and transmit the directions yourself over the CB . BEER30

    My comments were for discussion only . Not to say if anyone was told to do it or not or to involve legalities of anything . The term Darkside means any topic in general , not just referring to the CT . My Bad , maybe I should refer this to the "FAR SIDE" rather than the "Dark Side" . I just jumped the gun and was thinking of conversation itself . Didn't read all the way into this thread as see where this was leading into , being I was mislead myself as the forum section was "Request for Features" . So my next question is , "Why are we talking about CT's in a "Request for Features" forum ? Are we asking for a tire changer here ? :stickpoke: BEER30

    I was referring to all controversial subjects in general . If one subject pops upon the main forum , then it could be moved over the DARKSIDE forum , where special login is required . Then if needed , only members whom have showed restraint in the past , or has a sense of humor , or can handle it and is mentally sane can be granted permissions to enter . Then thin skin members can be denied so their feeling do not get hurt , or at least they were warned that it may get rough in there . Still respect each other with no name calling , no dirty words , no nudity , just a warmer conversation . If a topic comes up in main forum , whether it be tires , handlebars , or what type of dress one wears , it's moved over from the main forum to the DS forum . Then those whom say , where did the post go , well it can still be here , just moved over to a safer place from the main forum for those whom wish to still view or take part of . I believe we are all grown-ups most of the time and should be more mature or at least act like it . But a DS forum would spice it up . Did I make sense ? BEER

    I just caught last part of this thread and haven't read the entire thread , but a controversial forum somewhat separated by means of having to log into page , separately from main forum into another forum . Having a disclaimer that they have to read and acknowledge by a prompt check on to log into page , giving the thin skinned people fair warning of it's possible contents . Thought some people take things to much seriously or open their mouths and type into before they proof read their post could upset others , but by forewarning everybody entering into that forum at least has the understanding (hopefully) that these discussion could get their blood pressure up . Just make sure all precautions of "NO name calling" or dirty words are used . I belong to some forums that if you abuse them ,your sent to the reading room , no posting . I believe we already have that feature where we can set a date to when that member can go back to posting . Kinda brings back my childhood when I was "Grounded" I know that I can take it as much , if not more dishing it out and not be offended and I can reframe from any name calling . As anybody knows me by now,I don't take things personally over the web . Heck I have been banned from several forums for a lot, lot less from what has already been on this forum . Even told a few forums to "P" up a rope . But this forum is different , it is family . Family always has more differences and scrobbles than a bunch of strangers do . That's what makes it fun !     First time riding with the Muffinman and Riderduke leaving Florence to Bishopsville , doing 115 mph on the onramp and never let off till we turned off the highway . Clocked 112 mph pulling the BEERCART according to the GPS last fall . Riding 1 up . Had a little bit more twist in the throttle if I needed it . Not that I have the desire to ride this fast all the time , just had to see what the cow had in her ! BEER30
