After Tim hauling them passing lamps in his trunk for over ........let's say a year now ! We finally twisted his arm to let us put them on . Not only that , we put a set of RK pipes that were drilled out on his scoot . Tim wouldn't have a problem starting that 1st gen if you hadn't had issues with having to have in neutral to start it in the first place . Boat , that mine . If I didn't own a MC , I would be out on it more , LOL ! BEER30

Here are pic's of the Tat's . May I say , these photo's do not do the artwork justice . They are much better looking in person . Also these photo's were taken almost after the inking was done . Later this afternoon , the swelling went down and the colors came out beautifully . BEER30

When it get's cold enough , I wear my poly-pro , blue jeans , leather chaps to break the wind , all under my Walls Insulated bib cover-alls . I hate one-piece suites ! Usually one pair of thick cotton socks , but I would like to get another pair of Sorels boots with an extra set of liners if I could find them here in my area . Upstairs , I wear poly-pro top , T-shirt , then maybe a flannel shirt .I like to layer the clothing rather than a few big thick stuff. My jacket is lined , insulated reversalble jacket with rain/wind protected outer nylon shell . Gloves , I use a pair of wool/thinsulate finger-less mittens that have the finger covers .Even when wet , they are still warm .When extremely cold (below freezing), I place them cheap brown linen work gloves under the mittens . Above freezing , I still wear my shorty helmet . If moisture/high humidity is present , I wear my modular/full face helmet . Being originally from Alaska , I welcome cooler tempatures . Wife has a heated jacket and me to cuddle up too ! BEER30

Most tires have marks (some triangles) on the sidewalls , in-line in proportion to where the wear marks are in the tread , center of the tire . Rotate the tire all the way around to inspect the tire . I had a Dunlop which showed several more miles left of it on one side of the tire and on the 1/2 turn , I had cord showing . Remember , most flats are usually on the bottom of the tire ! When in doubt , put a new one on . BEER30

To be honest , I don't like to run it to the reserve or till the light comes on during out of town trips . Being , I never really know how good of fuel I am going to get at the next gas station . Hopefully it's good gas , or not knowing if it has water or has been diluted . I have my Zumo gas gage set at 130 miles . A low fuel reminder prompts me to start looking for fuel at 100 miles . Knowing that I just ran on good fuel and if I do happen to get some bad fuel , my chances of the scoot will run better with possible 1/2 good / 1/2 bad gas to the next gas station where odds are more likely to get better fuel . I've notice sometimes a big difference in mpg in between fill-ups and I air on the side of caution . Besides , stopping every 100 miles gives the wife and I a moment to stretch our legs and for her to grab a smoke , look the bike over for safety issues . BEER30

I can understand the humor in panty theft , heck I confiscated a few pair myself in my lifetime . But what I'm implying is that it is hard to lift a pair of undies while one is wearing them ! BEER30

You boys got it all wrong , make a pair of sheepskin lined underwear ! It's concealed and I don't think anyone has stolen a pair of underwear ! BEER30

Bummer the Zumo went south , but Garmin takes real good care of it's customers . My Zumo was 6 months out of warranty and they still treated me as if it was in warranty . They replaced the Zumo with updated maps . Paid for all the shipping exspenses as well . Mine was beyond removing the battery to fix , but have heard others say that's what did the trick for them . Hey Salty , I live this every mourning at Hwy 172 and 24 . Jerks sucking on their mourning Java , on cell phones , ready the newspaper , blinding their view , etc....as the dart out into traffic from the 2 convenient store/gas stations . Either it's some Marine or some local loco that thinks they own the road , even if they are not on it . My hand is almost on my spit bottle every time I come to this intersection , prepare to hurl it at some A-hole whom isn't paying attention . Already have thrown 3 spit bottles at these jerks , had an intense conversation at the least with one marine whom I was just about to place his head into the front fender of his own cage . He changed his tune when he found out whom I was and what I could do to him if I pushed the issue to his CO , LOL ! If anyone needs combat driving training , Go near a military base ! Especially when they are going too and from work . BEER30

Do you know if they are #10 or #8 YKK zippers ? Or Win-Zip zippers ? Solid tooth or coil tooth ? I may have replacement pulls . Normally you can get the teeth back together , then take a pair of pliers , reach over the zipper slider and squeeze the back trailing part of the zipper . It's the rear part of the zipper slider that squeezes the zipper chain together . When some people tie cord onto the zipper pull , it causes the slider to bind and the slider spreads , causing the zipper chain not to connect together . I use #10 heavy duty solid tooth zippers . I hate the coil tooth even though they slide smoother . BEER30 -

As time allows me , I will be making a trunk rack bag . Zipper , how is it breaking ? If it is unzipping behind the zipper as you closing the zipper , I can tell you how to fix . It's an easy fix ! BEER30
