  2. Hey Sleeperhawk ! What piece of chrome do you not have ? I bet somewhere in the Mechanic's kitchen , you have a chromed Cherry Pie pan ! BEER30
  3. 2 hours !!!!!! I had to change out the driver's side I-Beam of a F-250 4x4 in 20 degree weather with 4' of snow on the ground when I lived in Alaska . And I just had hip surgery 2 weeks earlier and was on crutches to top it off . Took 3 1/2 hours to do and then I went out to plow snow all night long . . . . . . Oh , Forgot . I was much younger then . BEER30
  4. All I have to say , that is one hell of a gift . Just wished Squid was thinking of me when he got it . BEER30
  5. Not a hard task to do . Should only take you less than an hour to do . You can rent the socket for the day . Remember to replace the seal , the races , pack the bearings , re-install just like you took them off . You might need a set of snap ring pliers too . BEER30
  6. I know a few people whom can use the BRAINS ! :rasberry: BEER30
  7. If your looking for a cheap alternative , grab yourself a set of curb-feelers . Mount them under the scoot pointing downwards , high enough not to hit the ground . Let some air out of the tires to what you consider a safe zone and cut to length . Now air up the tires to proper amount . So now when you loose air pressure , the scoot's lowers itself , the curb-feelers will make that scrapping sound to alert you your tires are low . Just remember this when going over curbs and sidewalks , lol ! I'm not a rocket scientist , just stayed at a Holiday Inn . Or was it a vision when I was passed out drunk ? BEER30
  8. I don't know about that there Big Tom . Mini being a small red-head package , can cast a huge wallop amongst this group . And did I ever mention that she is ornery ? BEER30
  9. If I could find , I would like burnt orange deep shag carpet , JK ! But I think you did good . That covering does not look like it will soak up liquids and will help items from sliding around .
  10. I guess Starbog and myself are in deep doo-doo . We won't know if our beer is more chilled or do we drink faster ? BEER30
  11. Hey Mini ......Stir the Pot , Stir the pot , Stir the pot , Stir the pot , Stir the pot , Stir the pot , Stir the pot ! BEER30
  12. Believe me ,I like gadgets . But I would pass on this one . Making myself get down low enough to check my tire pressure , will also allow me to visually inspect the rest of the scoot , tires , etc.... I would not want to totally rely on this monitoring device and get to darn lazy to check out other important issues . BEER30
  13. Heck , I can be nice once in awhile , can I ? I even went out today and bought BEER24/7 a new leather MC jacket . Guess who was the sales lady ? BEER30
  14. As we prepare for this joyous occasion , May I say to everyone a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving . If you travel , please be safe on the roads . And if not traveling , please pray for those whom will be for a safe trip . Also if you can , please support your local soup kitchen , veterans hospital , Wounded Warriors , our Senior Citizens or church functions to help aid or donate for the less fortunate . This is the time to Thank the Man upstairs and your fellow brother/neighbor . So saying after I give Thanks , I'll be pigging out ! Pass the Giblets , PLEASE ! BEER30
  15. Sounds like a plan . I'll plot several DQ's on the GPS . We might be fleeing for awhile . BEER30
  16. I look at it this way . If I cannot charm them , I annoy the heck out of them until they concede ! :stickpoke: BEER30
  17. Not only is there Cheesecake , but there are members whom make some mean-azz pies ! Ain't that right there Mini and the Mechanic ! BEER30
  18. Nelsonville..................Gambia ? Well make it Gambia ! Louis needs to put some miles on that scoot of his to retrieve his gift ! BEER30
  19. Believe me , they can move gracefully amongst anything , but the heavy thick trees themselves . Those heavy thick trees saved my butt ! I've seen them mangle up a cage just for spite ! They no like horns either . BEER30 Yum , Yum , moose meat stew !
  20. I have the #1000 with the removable rear panel and it work good enough . If you get extend the front wheel chock all the way forward. Also place additional U-bolts a little more from there present location towards the rear , so tie-down straps clear the lowers . At first when go to raise the scoot , the table will shift a little giving you a little uneasy feeling , but it is stable and secure . I made side floorboards out of 2X's and plywood that lay along the sides. Making these floorboard-platforms makes it much easier when I drive the scoot on and off the lift . I made the the same hight as the lift table and about 16" wide . I move them away after I secure the scoot on the lift with chock and straps . These floorboards make it easy for me to drive my John Deere lawn tractor onto when I need to service it as well . The lift is wide enough to grab at least 1/2 the tires of the JD . I am now looking for the mini-jack to raise the scoot so I can remove my rear or front tire . Most I have seen go for about 100 bones , but have seen them on e-bay for $59.00 . Just don't know the quality of them . I've tried the scissor jacks that you get from compact cars , but don't work so great . BEER30
  21. Nodda Problem ! BEER30
