Hey Charlie , I don't know the address either , but if you head South until you smell cow dun . Turn West until you step into it . You know then your in Texas . Then ask someone if they have seen a Squid on a HD . Then you will find them . Better yet , just follow your nose in the scent of Lona's Cheese cake . That will be the easiest way to find them , or just go to last know address and follow all the chrome that has fallen off Squid's HD . :duck::duck: BEER30

No , Seriously . I won a wrap as a door prize at a poker run this spring . The top portion is made of soft mesh . Cool as all get-out . Sides and tail are cloth , cotton I think . Here's a picture with Wanderer and myself and I'm wearing it . BEER30

I can deal with Squid's conversion to getting a little tougher, but just curious when he is going to get Bow-legged . You just don't know about them wanna-be Texas boys. I just cannot picture a bow-legged Squid wearing cowboy-a boots with spurs that jingle-jangle-jingle ! :duck: But he will need a ten gallon hat to hold all that cheese cake . On which reminds me , will they make a ten gallon dew rag for the Squid'ster ? BEER30

Hey Big Tom ! How about you cut up them big bloomers and make a dozen or two head wraps . With all of the bloomers and G-Strings you own , you might make a small profit ! :mo money: Just don't sale the newly converted head wraps with the racing stripes ! BEER30

Is that all the miles you can do on a Hardly ? Just imagine back in the RSV days when there were more miles of adventure put on before lunch time . And by the way , you didn't mention whether that was 200 miles ridden or 200 miles trailered ! :happy-emoticon: BEER30

As if I did not have enough of other things to do ......like work , I went out and bought myself another Black Cherry . Not 2 wheels , but a set of six strings . 30 years ago , I was self teaching myself , but never fulfilled the task of playing successfully . My first set of strings was an original left handed Les Paul made in the early 50's . It was a rare one at that being an F hole hollow cut away with a single pickup . It was worth a pretty penny to say the least . But it's gone now and and to start fresh again , I picked up an Ibanez Artcore AS73L in Black Cherry ! So I am giving you fair warning , I sound like a sputtering 1st gen running on an 1/2 cylinder , . For the last 2 late evenings , I have been getting my finger tips all tendered up . I must be doing OK so far as the dog hasn't started howling yet and the wife hasn't tossed me or the guitar outside . I know we have some musicians here and perhaps when I do get good enough , we should have a jam session at one of the M & E or Rallies . BEER30

Best to call ahead to the 1-800-FERRY (for example) to see what the requirements are . I have heard that some Ferries do not require anything , some ask you to stay with the scoot ,some have tie-downs . Many ask you to wait last or board first . Just calling the Ferry itself will save you a lot of grief or give you better preparation than what any of us could advise . BEER30

But still loud enough to scare the crap out of the HD guys with Vance & Hines pipes when I pull up behind them . BEER30.
-
Sure it's loud , but mostly on the right side . I mounted my Stebel under the scoot , behind the lowers , right beside the oil filter . Sound comes out evenly on both sides of the scoot . And I still have the stock horns going toot-toot as well . BEER30

'06 RSV , 58K on it , Knock on wood ......I haven't had any issues as of yet other than a few times that my front 2 cylinders flooded out on a cold motor . Did find some water in the lines when this happened. BEER30 -

I had a friend whom did the welding . It took him about 3 hours to do a thorough job . It could have been done in 2 hours , but we made sure we made every weld at extra strength . I cannot remember th ebrand of the TIG welder , but it had a water cooled head on it . It was the best money could buy to say the least . I cut the frame myself . It took about 45 minutes , as I made a jig with chalk lines on plywood to follow by and to square up and tack weld all the pieces together before the final weld . I used a Makita 60 tooth carbide blade to cut the aluminum . The aluminum was 2" x 2" x .25" square tubing . If I remember correctly , that cost was about $120.00 for 2 - 20' sticks (approx. 7' of scrap left over) . Welding shop will vary amongst themselves as for the shop rates . If you cut all the pieces and bevel all the edges with a grinder/sander , you will have done the most of the work other than the welding . I could have done the project with lighter weight steel , but I wanted aluminum and also could have gone to 3/16" or possibly 1/8" wall rather than 1/4" . Just not having made a trailer in aluminum , I felt making it more heavy duty was worth it . I would say welding aluminum takes more time to weld than steel , but however I do not have to worry about RUST ! Making the frame was quite easier than the fiberglass . Making in steel will be much cheaper than aluminum , but it was worth it to me as to save on weight and paint . However if I were to break down somewhere , it would be more of a hassle to get repaired as some weldig shops do not do aluminum . I would be more than happy to hear from you about your project and maybe give some suggestions . Give me a shout after 8:00 EST , as I have been working later hours here lately . My # is in my profile . BEER30
