I've been learning the guitar for the past 2+ months . I'm a lefty and got myself an Ibanez Artcore , along with a Pevey Vyper 15 watt amp . It's a Jazz guitar and a thin body . Sore fingers lasted me about 6 weeks and started forming calasis around 3 weeks . That's practicing for 45 minutes each evening around the same time each day . I started learning 7 chords here . Then went to this site to learn the basics here . Then to this site to advance myself even further here . I started with "Louie-Louie" , then "Greensleeves" , "Horse with no name" and now playing "House of the Rising Sun". Back to the fingers .......growing calasis more and more , I use a pomus stone to smooth off the rough edges or the loose skin that develops .I keep my nails trimmed as well . You will also get that weird feeling on your finger tips when you goto pick up items , especially items such as coins or sheets of paper . Don't panic , you will get used to it ! What is hardest for myself is that I'm a lefty . Reading lessons that are mainly for right handed students . I do not read music , but find TABS the easiest for me . And if you have not learned sheet music , it's a whole new lingo , but be patient , you will get there . I'm 48 and learning . As far as professional lessons , I'm trying to learn the basics before I fork over the $$ to advance myself . This way I'm not entering the classroom totally blind . I have been invited to sit in on some of the local sessions in our community , but want to learn a little bit more so I do not hurt my pride . If you know what I mean . BEER30

Buddy of mine has the battery operated socks . I installed a 12 volt cig lighter plug-in on his Wing so he could use an inverter to operate a 110 battery charger for his AA batteries ie....camera and other toys while out on the road. BEER30

Have no experience with the booties , but "Why" not battery operated socks ?........cheaper I bet . BEER30

County made my Dad prune his scrubs as it only took one gabber-jaw lady to file a complaint . Dad lived on a curve where the speed limit should be a safe 35 MPH , but posted 55 MPH and everyone goes 65+. There was only one dirt driveway used only on the occasional weekend . Lady would be 20' from the intersection and would not approach any closer which caused her to get upset . Though it was a dangerous road from the any aspect because of speeders and her not moving closer still within safe distance from the intersection , she still won the arguement . But the brighter side , the dirt driveway was on my Dad's property to begin with , so he closed it down , posted No trespassing signs and made her put a new driveway on her property ! BEER30

I'll back up what Wally stated. Being one of the testers of the Zumo 550 and 2nd cousin one of the Garmin engineers , I was lucky enough to get on the Zumo band wagon . I'll admit that I'm on my 3rd Zumo after the first 2 spazzed out on me , but customer service was spectacular beyond my expectations to get my Zumo's replaced/repaired . Needless to say I did not have to call upon my 2nd Cuz to get any warranty work either . I think the Zumo is in a class of it's own . Though any brand has issues or the rider has preferences . Along with the Zumo and BuddyRich's cables , there is not another combination out there that does what I ask or need for it to do . I have gotten all and more for the $$ I have put into the Zumo 550 and I will remain using it till they are no longer available . As of today , I have logged over 70k on the Zumo , mostly on the scoot and still not have utilized all the features that it provides . BEER30

It's obvious that I know "WHY" , But I can't tell you. "Why" might you ask ? "Why" is it that I'll tell you "WHY" . "Why" .....is because your my friends , so I will only tell you part of the reason "Why" . "Why" .....I have a simple answer for you, "your not only my friends and but my second Family" ......Again I wonder "WHY" sometimes . But hey , that's life . Therefore the reason "WHY" ponders on the minds of the "Why-ners". So if your still in dis-belief , you "Why-ners" need to seek further in depth as to the reason , "WHY". So are you still with me , or have you became "Why-nots" . So you may not now understand "Why-nots" , It's not that hard to understand Why-not "this" or "that" . Didn't your Mother ever explain to you as a child? So your all grown up now and still cannot understand "Why". And for you silly people whom think "WHY" is spelled with the letters W , H , and Y , your right . But can you explain "WHY"? . Well your still not as smart as we think you are and don't ask us "WHY" either. It just works that way and that is what I'm telling you "WHY" . Ok , don't get upset at this point because your blood pressure is getting high . "Why" might you be asking that ? It's because your still reading this and that's "Why"! So the smart ones may have already seen the clues I have secretly mentioned in this gibberish as to the answer "Why".......... Any guesses yet ? v v v v v v v v Well looks as if your still reading this , and you haven't figured out "Why" . And may I ask if you are jumping up and down screaming "WHY , WHY ,Why...etc...." Until you figure this out on your own or with the help of other and finally come to the conclusion as to "WHY" you cannot come to the conclusion as to "Why you haven't figured out what "WHY" is" , then I suggest you look for the latest edition of "WHY for DUMMIES" . You can obtain them some "Where" at some "PLACE" . P.S. "WHY"plural is not "WISE" ....get that ! BEER30

I mounted my camcorder on the handlebars with the RAM mount on which I do not use the camera lens for . I mounted a lipstick camera on top of my helmet . Unless you extremely cold with your teeth a chattering , it's a steady record . It also allows me to focus on the road more . The lipstck cam has a wire feeding to it which runs along the side of my mic wire .The lipstick camera setup has a pause/record button remote that I mount on the handlebars , so it does not distract my driving fiddling around for the record pause on the camcorder. Plus the lipstick cam is above the windshield ! Benefits : *Allows more freedom to drive more safely *Much better filming without the vibration *Allows myself to record at what I am looking at and not having to turn the camcorder to catch a scene. *Does not give cause for LEO to stop you , as it is illegal to have the monitor open for viewing in most states *I can place weather protection over the camcorder in adverse weather , as the lipstick cam is water-proof *I can draw power off the scoot using an inverter via the 110 power supply to leave the camera on at all times Cons: *Have extra wires and power cords to deal with (On which I bundle the excess and place into my windshield bags) *Just have to be more careful with the helmet to not forget the lipstick cam is on top *The camera record where I my head is turned too , Just have to remember to stop to get the most impressive shots *Have to control myself when that beautiful BABE in the cage comes along side of you and not get a twist in the neck (perhaps this needs to be in the Benefits.....you decide) My setup cost almost $100.00 and I believe it was worth it . Wife no longer got rubber arms holding the camcorder . There is also a switch-box you can get that you can mount 5 lipstick cams too . It has a monitor that can mount on the handlebars with a toggle to switch to one or more (split screen) cams . The switch-box is about the sixe of a box of Cracker Jacks and has LCD screen to view what your recording . I cannot remember where I purchased the lipstick cam at , but I can research it if your interested . BEER30

Back when I had horses , I did shoe them myself . Really didn't make shoes from stock , but used the heat to form and hotset the shoe and/or make Ice shoes when I lived in AK. Made some blades out of horse shoes and still have a few of them hanging around . If you do not have a forge , you can manage with oxygen/acetylene with a rosebud on the ole torch . Hammer , Tongs and an good anvil on the stump work wonders . BEER30

I have owned and pulled a lot of trailers . Not once to this date have I lost one being towed (knock on wood). There are several good practices to adhere when it comes to chains and hitches . I look at this in this way , properly lengthened cross chains to help catch and prevent the tongue of the trailer to dig into the pavement , but will it prevent the tongue from pushing forward into the rear tire ? When pulling a trailer behind a cage , we ordinarily will not have this issue , but with the bikes we do and there is not much we can do other than to adjust our speed when coming to a safe stop . As mentioned , tongue digging into the pavement . I prefer to have a skid plate/leg mounted under the tongue , just behind the coupler . This attachment will not allow the tongue to dig into the pavement .....unless the trailer does actually goes head over heals in more severe incidents . Some people think this attachment is to not allow the tongue to sink down into the ground when trailer is not used to prevent the dirt from clogging the hitch as it sinks into the dirt . If and when an incident may occur , we can only take precautions to reduce the amount of possible damage that may occur . BEER30

Check your local Ford Dealership. One of guys on my fishing team is a mechanic for Ford . They use the 44k in a kit that they use to flush the fuel system. They sometimes get surplus cans in the kit and stow under their work bench (they will not admit it unless I tell them they will not go fishing anymore , LOL). However he did tell me that Ford House has it on their shelves . BEER30

Lucky me , I have 2 mechanics on my fishing team . BG44K cost me $0.00 ! I just learned about this past spring . The boys have saved for me almost a case of it now . We threw 2 cans of it into my 80 gallon fuel tank and I can say now ,"Good-Bye Dieseling" when I shut down the inboard . Haven't tried in in the RSV yet , but will put some in soon as I just depleted my last can of Seafoam . BEER30

You will need to make some new brackets , not hard to do . Don't know if Squidly still makes them . Need new muffler clamps . No modification required , but some drill hole in the them to make them louder . HD hardly throws them away , but you might find a sealer or two to se them cheap .You can obtain them in the $50.00 neighborhood . BEER30

I too have the Baron 4-2-4 Nasty Boys . Great sound and still not to loud to hear the tunes (setting at 15) at any speed . Only complaint comes from the HD guys BEHIND me , but do I care ? ......NO ! I tried the HD pipes and didn't even really notice a difference and got rid of them . Wife says the Nasty Boys are not annoying and just comments that it sounds like we are riding in a group. Performance......do not know , I'm too busy looking and sounding GOOD ! BEER30
