So, aren't we trying to discourage texting and driving?

I get a lot of calls and text, one of the reason I ride is to get away from that mess. I am not much into all that technology and streaming stuff, I listen to the local radio station if I want music. I throw the phone in my trunk and go. What is funny friends, people I work with, and family know I am out on a ride, they call and get pissed off that I didn't answer the phone or text. Today people think when they want to talk to you they should be able to talk to you right now. For some reason they think they own your time. So leaving the phone, letting voice mail pickup, or answering machine, is a good reminder for others that they do not own you. Enjoy the ride, leave all the worldly crap behind, except GPS...... -

I am this way too, now I do go to bed with the dryer going but a fire alarm is in the laundry room. I am the crazy guy that goes through out the house and unplugs everything except the frig when I am gone more than a day.

Yes glad you were home and it worked out ok. Seems you must of kept your head cool to be able to go out and get another fire extinguisher. I freak when something catches on fire. But not to smart throwing water on it, read the article here on being shocked. if you would of got shocked and passed out, just tell your wife to stick her fingers...... Well you read the article Again honestly I am glad no one was hurt. You should call a professional cleaner, they will get that smoke smell out in one day.

There is many things wrong with that article. We will start at the bottom and go up, no pun intended. If you get shocked and to save your life I am going to have to stick a finger or two up your butt. I am just going to kneel down and read you your last rights. Tell your spouse there was nothing else I could do. I have been shocked a few times with 110, it hurts, hurts bad. I have a high respect for electricity. When I have to change a plug, I pull the fuse and then cut power to the house. I did work with a guy that did electrical work and never turned the power off. He would touch hot wires all the time. you be in one room working and you would hear a small pop and usually a swear word, followed by, well that line is hot LOL. Now I do check a 9v battery with my tongue too. Thanks for the post, great read.

I really enjoyed your video, took me a couple times to see the whole thing. I have lived in Tx a couple times. First stationed in Del Rio, TX at Laughlin AFB, did a lot of riding from there. Then at Wichita Falls, TX Sheppard AFB. Of course I have been to San Antonio, Huston and a few other places. I really like TX. One of the few states you can drive all day and still be in the state. I use to ride my Suzuki GS1000 from Del Rio to KCMO. Took one day to get to Wichita Falls Tx Larry

I have a real stupid question here, maybe should be a thread of its own. But what is the difference between Dot 3 and Dot 4 break fluid? I was having some issues with my clutch slave cylinder, and I bleed it and bought a big thing of Dot 4 break fluid. Like a dummy I left it sit on the side of the driveway, long story short, the wife's son managed to run over the bottle, cleaned it up, instead of telling me he went and bought another bottle, same brand, but it is Dot 3. My Slave cylinder has a leak and I have been nursing it along with adding some every few days. Now I realize I have been adding Dot 3 not 4.....
