When you say come on does it show the frequency I know a different year but I had to learn on my 07 that I had to be in that mode, CB, Radio, or something else to turn up the volume. When you push the mike button does it show it is transmitting finally check the coax, if the coax goes bad and you have a high SWR it will not receive well or transmit at all

I posted something like that here before. First praying for your brother. I served our great country for 23 years and now serve as a rural United Methodist pastor. Been doing this for about 12 years. I have learned a few things. First you are right life is way to short, I do not care if you die at day 1 or 110 life is to short. Most people do not really live, yes they have jobs, family but they work until they are to old to do anything. They usually bought big houses, and other material stuff that requires them to work longer and harder to pay bills. When they die someone else is stuck with the stuff they have acquired without the same love for it. To many times in families will fight and split up over the death of a father or mother and trying to divided their stuff up. So here is my simple advice, it is better to live a simple life, one with less stuff that will allow you more time and money to build memories with your family and friends. When done with what ever it is you have, instead of letting it sit on the shelf, give it away today then you can see the other person enjoy using it. You are taking nothing with you other than your relationship with others and that of the LORD. So work on the stuff that will last forever. A quote from Forrest Gump, "I am not a smart man, but I know what love is." And for us that like to ride motorcycles or do other crazy stuff, life of riding will be over sooner than our physical life. Get out and ride everyday. If you do not ride today, you can ride twice as long tomorrow but in the history books on June 7th, it will be noted you did not ride. Get out and enjoy life. Live as if today was your last day.

when I was in the AF, we would go TDY to a base in the Gold Coast, I cannot remember the name of it now. I loved Australia and the people. If I had the money to get my motorcycle there I would go ride with you.

does any of the head controls work with this, how much cutting did you have to do. I was thinking of going the GPS/Xm radio route

A funny story, There I was....... a couple weeks ago I was on a group ride, when we come to the end we had ridden about 300 miles, many stops as group rides go. Big lunch and I was heading home alone. Well I got on US 82 which is a good straight road to my house. I kicked back, put my feet up on the highway pegs, set cruise for 70 mph, speed limit is 65, cranked up some old rock and roll and enjoying my ride. Well I was coming up on a semi truck, he must of been doing about 60 mph, so I started to pass him, just as I got to the cab area of his truck, a loud explosion, and smoke/dust everywhere. The pucker factor went from 5 normal riding to a 20+ in a millisecond. After a quick assailment that I didn't have a problem I come to realize that the truck back inner tire blew. The trucked tracked straight and didn't even slow down. So no danger However it woke me up so much and it took a couple hours for the pucker factor to come back down so I could fart again....... I was glad for a big two lane road so I had time to swerve all over the place LOL

I have had my bike 07 RSV for about a year. I found out that the headset on a Goldwing works on our bikes too. In fact someone told me that the audio system is about the same As CB goes, I hated them back in the day, a lot of trash talk on them. I have been a licensed ham radio operator since 1976, so I was looking at changing to a 2m rig. However twice this month I was in group rides and the CB was nice. Two weekends ago I was to meet up with a CMA (Christian Motorcycle Association) from around the area. I was on one side of the highway in a Sonny's parking lot they were on the other side of the highway in a share a ride parking lot, we could not see each other. I figured I had missed them and was thinking of heading home, but then I read the chirp of a CB and made a call and was able to hookup with the ride. So well worth it. I have a blue tooth helmet too, and a friend of mine has the same blue tooth helmet, the same blue tooth system. we have a hard time syncing then if one of us gets ahead or left behind at a light we break communication and sometimes they will not resynic. So yes the CB is sued very little but when riding and others that have a CB it is a nice feature .

Also to think of your state laws. This may sound stupid. I had a 01 Victory with hard bags and the turn single lights and running lights are on the hard bags. Well one of those stops that bikers seem to get stuck in, a cop told me that if the lights are on in the rear of the bike they all have to be red. The cop was nice, didn't give me a ticket or anything just informing me. Well with some research in GA he is right. I have noticed all HDs and other bikes that have the turn signals and running lights on all the time they are red. I am think of putting lights on the back of my bags on my RSV. I have been looking at some good designs, just leave the turn signals they way they are.
