My other kids Christmas story, the same Christmas as above, I bought a plastic kitchen for my daughter that was 2 and Tonka truck and GI Joes for the boy who was 5, after the Santa stuff at least they slept in a little, but as the day wore on, I woke up from a nap, the girl was playing with the GI Joes and the boy was playing house in the kitchen. Later that day they took the big boxes and made a fort out of it and had more fun with the boxes than the actually toys.

I waited a long time before I got married, I was 36, my wife had two small children. Another post, maybe, raising other people kids..... LOL Back on track, they were 5&2 well I use to do Santa for a lot of people and places. You can become a certified Santa. Well my kids knew this so on late Christmas eve, or Christmas morning, I had a friend dress in my Santa outfit and walk by their windows making a lot of noise, then come into the house putting presents under the tree, again making lot of noise. Kids got out of bed and looked then said that is just dad, no matter how much Santa told them he wasn't me or threatened to take the presents away, they wouldn't believe him. Then I come out of the bedroom in my PJs looking all tired and pissed off. The kids almost craped their pants, and ran back to bed. One of them as they rounded the corner said do not shoot Santa.......

Ok starting to slow down in here, we need to liven it back up. Keeping with my theme of human interest and getting to know each other better, what was your favorite Christmas or Christmas present. Mine was back in the 70s 74-75, I got a Honda 70 trail bike. My other one was in 78 I got a Heathkit SB-101 Ham radio.

I use to have this bad habit too, lately it has been motorcycles. You will not believe how many people bought a nice motorcycle road it maybe one summer parked it and never got on it again. 13 years later I am trying to talk them out of it. I am not allowed to look at craigs list anymore. Larry

Calendar what the heck is that, I have a wife that tells me what I have to do everyday LOL You know I have a church, it is in the country but on a paved road, they love to cook....... Thinking maybe I could schedule a M&G in South GA. I have been asked to schedule two benefit rides, one for Pregnancy Support center, the other would be in November for Wounded Warrior project. Maybe schedule with one of them. Last couple of years I have not done much long distance riding. I have a guy in my church that just turned 60 that also rides, we have been talking about doing a few long distance rides before we get to old and can only talk about the rides. He wants to do a coast to coast ride, maybe up to MO and get on Route 66 to CA. Turning 53 soon I have come to realize life is short, and working is great but before it is to late need to throw some fun in there too. So I keep my eyes open for anything in GA or FL that I can go too. Final thought, motorcyclist maybe some of the nicest people I know, and the most generous, but from those pictures above, not the best looking crowd.

Good post puc. I use to have thick skin but after seeing all the stuff with the college kids, I need a safe room, a place where I can feel safe and words will not hurt me. LOL But honestly, like Puc, I enjoy meeting people and making friends. My wife get tired of me in a long Walmart line, I have met everyone in line, and invited half of them to dinner with us. I can take a good ribbing so lay it on thick. My goal in 2016 is to hopefully meet a few of you in person. Larry

Thanks for the post, I looked at trailer kits, and know they would be a lot easier, but I hate to put it this way, it would look a lot cooler if the dog was riding next to me LOL Now they are proud of those sidecars, they want as much for the side car as I paid for the bike. But I do like the way it looks

Being the supportive husband you will also have to be on a special diet. Unless you ever find yourself out in South GA, I think they only know two ways to cook, fried and fried again.

Just wondering does anyone have a sidecar for their venture? I like to see a pic of it, I was thinking of getting a side car, I hate to admit the reason I want it, so I can take my dog with me on rides. When he was small I would put a towel on the gas tank and ride him around the block. he has gotten a bit bigger. I might start another post to see how others transport their pets.
