if you are going to go with the gas struts this may be of intrest to you this is what i have on my lid for my trailer its the same as the piggybacker lid good luck dray The "N" on struts stands for "Newtons", as in Newtons of force. One Newton equals 0.225 pounds of force. That's where the 15.7 lbs came from on the lift rating of your struts. 70 x .225 = 15.7.
