  1. I recently bought a new one for my 88 from Boats.net and it was not expensive. My old one was cosmetically good but the pivot was worn out.
  2. I am using XP Pro and Firefox and am not having this issue.
  3. Don't multi cylinder EFI bikes still need to be synced, unless they are running a common throttle body setup? The sync only gets all of the throttle plates to open at the same time so all cylinders are working equally has nothing to do with fuel air mixture. :confused24:
  4. :sign yeah that: I'm crazy for a bowl of my chili right now. The only football bowl game I watch is the one with Wisconsin Badgers in it, this year it will be the Cotton Bowl.
  5. While there is nothing that I am aware of that is in the form of a plug and play kit, it certainly can be done. There is the method that Bob mentioned above. OR There are several people making a manifold to put a single automotive carb on our engines, I do not see why you could not put a small automotive TBI on that same manifold. Either way you still need to come up with all of the sensors and computer to make it all work and may need to generate your own fuel maps. IF you were to go with something like the Micro Squirt system for the EFI, it also can handle the job of ignition to replace your ancient one you have on the bike now, it will even handle going to COP if you were so inclined. Dang it, I almost talked myself into doing this again....................
  6. Not a $850 stock in my book either. A stock of that price should not have blemishes that need to be filled. It is already been glass bedded to some other rifle so it will need a lot of work for a perfect fit. unless you get lucky.
  7. You may have run into individuals in the stores that did not know how to test a battery.
  8. Time to make a HoneyDo list for Taters......................
  9. As long as the are not to thick, Don't want to grind thru the case hardening.
  10. How could anyone get drunk on a Rum Ball or 3??? :whistling:
  11. @skydoc_17 used to have a shim kit and tool that he would loan out if you bought all the gaskets and other stuff for the job from him. You will have to contact him to see if he still does this. If you need an uncommon thickness, I can make the next bigger size a bit thinner. I acquired a surface grinder for my basement. I made a few custom sizes for mine to get it all just perfect. All of my valves are right on the high limit to give maximum time before they need to be done again. But that is just me.
  12. My Rum Balls generally show up at Dons MD and the WI MD. Other times are pot luck, but they seem to always follow me around.
  13. MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmm................... Rum Balls I never had a recipe for my Rum Balls, It is all mixed by eye and by feel, With a lot of QC to be sure it is just right.
  14. I had a Remington 7400 in 30-06 special ordered and delivered looking just like that one. The gun I mentioned back in post 4
  15. It looks like you got those rusty old hinges to close. Might be a bit wet but at least you will not be driving across 3 states and 2 countries in a blizzard. Our 40 has also now been upped to 48 and we will still have a white Christmas. I will be out in a t shirt and will be comfortable. See, I knew that you could not come up with anything to compete with a white Christmas. You loose, I'm staying here where it is much nicer. I defy you to find a post where I ever complained about snow, You will find many where I have stated that I'll take a blizzard over hot any day. I have seen nearly everyone down south complain about the heat. We will have to agree to disagree on this one because this is one discussion that you can not possibly win.
  16. Looks like you got there to late. Fresh tracks means that they already went past. But then it does look like a nice place to just kick back and watch the woods do their thing.
  17. I do a M&E in Milwaukee WI every mid March. The weather is normally not conducive to riding but it is nice to get together and at least talk to like minded Venturers about the upcoming riding season. Always get to meet a few new faces every year.
  18. Love it, Thank you so much for sharing.
  19. I have never yet had a battery die within the warranty period. I usually get close to double the warranty out of a battery. I always buy the best ones with the longest warranties.
  20. I have never changed a battery because a calendar said to. I run them till they stop doing the job. I also have had the longest life out of good old Yuasa
  21. That is just begging for a big VR logo on the side.
  22. Congrrats on your impending retirement. I can only dream of what that will be like. Just don't forget us, keep coming back for more. I only have about 50 more years to go. I guess all I can do is to keep sending out SNOW balls. East seems to be the most fun...............
  23. Wisconsin will be 40° on Christmas and we will still have a white Christmas. Sorry but you southerners just can not compete in any way with that.
  24. I don't think that Facebook even has corners unless you are posting porn.
  25. I got the new tires and wheels for my truck from Tire Rack. They came mounted, balanced with new TPMS and with the correct air pressure so all I had to do was to slap them on the truck and program them. Even with shipping Tire Rack was cheaper than anywhere local. I then sold the old tires and wheels that had 30K miles on them for about half of what the new costed me.
