  1. As long as the are not to thick, Don't want to grind thru the case hardening.
  2. How could anyone get drunk on a Rum Ball or 3??? :whistling:
  3. @skydoc_17 used to have a shim kit and tool that he would loan out if you bought all the gaskets and other stuff for the job from him. You will have to contact him to see if he still does this. If you need an uncommon thickness, I can make the next bigger size a bit thinner. I acquired a surface grinder for my basement. I made a few custom sizes for mine to get it all just perfect. All of my valves are right on the high limit to give maximum time before they need to be done again. But that is just me.
  4. My Rum Balls generally show up at Dons MD and the WI MD. Other times are pot luck, but they seem to always follow me around.
  5. MMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmmmmm................... Rum Balls I never had a recipe for my Rum Balls, It is all mixed by eye and by feel, With a lot of QC to be sure it is just right.
  6. I had a Remington 7400 in 30-06 special ordered and delivered looking just like that one. The gun I mentioned back in post 4
  7. It looks like you got those rusty old hinges to close. Might be a bit wet but at least you will not be driving across 3 states and 2 countries in a blizzard. Our 40 has also now been upped to 48 and we will still have a white Christmas. I will be out in a t shirt and will be comfortable. See, I knew that you could not come up with anything to compete with a white Christmas. You loose, I'm staying here where it is much nicer. I defy you to find a post where I ever complained about snow, You will find many where I have stated that I'll take a blizzard over hot any day. I have seen nearly everyone down south complain about the heat. We will have to agree to disagree on this one because this is one discussion that you can not possibly win.
  8. Looks like you got there to late. Fresh tracks means that they already went past. But then it does look like a nice place to just kick back and watch the woods do their thing.
  9. I do a M&E in Milwaukee WI every mid March. The weather is normally not conducive to riding but it is nice to get together and at least talk to like minded Venturers about the upcoming riding season. Always get to meet a few new faces every year.
  10. Love it, Thank you so much for sharing.
  11. I have never yet had a battery die within the warranty period. I usually get close to double the warranty out of a battery. I always buy the best ones with the longest warranties.
  12. I have never changed a battery because a calendar said to. I run them till they stop doing the job. I also have had the longest life out of good old Yuasa
  13. That is just begging for a big VR logo on the side.
  14. Congrrats on your impending retirement. I can only dream of what that will be like. Just don't forget us, keep coming back for more. I only have about 50 more years to go. I guess all I can do is to keep sending out SNOW balls. East seems to be the most fun...............
  15. Wisconsin will be 40° on Christmas and we will still have a white Christmas. Sorry but you southerners just can not compete in any way with that.
  16. I don't think that Facebook even has corners unless you are posting porn.
  17. I got the new tires and wheels for my truck from Tire Rack. They came mounted, balanced with new TPMS and with the correct air pressure so all I had to do was to slap them on the truck and program them. Even with shipping Tire Rack was cheaper than anywhere local. I then sold the old tires and wheels that had 30K miles on them for about half of what the new costed me.
  18. I have a Mauser with that stock and nearly the same break. I caught it before it was a complete break and added some reinforcement to that area. The one I have was severely cracked in that area and would not have taken many more shots to finish it off. The one I got was broken just from normal deer hunting and range use. If UPS lets you keep that one, I would just put it back together if I were in your shoes.
  19. I did try the battery additive once when I was really poor and my battery died. It did get me another month before the battery was again no longer able to take a charge. Bottom line I would call that a failure. This was on my only vehicle so it was my daily driver. As for the high voltage "de-sulfating" My truck does that during normal operation, when I first start the truck it charges at 16 - 17 volts for a short while which is supposed to de-sulfate the battery. It then supposedly monitors the battery charge and will drop the voltage down to 12.6 as the battery reaches full charge so that it is only a maintenance charge so as to not over charge the battery. My thoughts, It is a gimic that don't work, the OEM battery was dead in just 37 months and 37K miles. Just out of warranty. My replacement battery is getting weak now at just 3 years old. So I would conclude that all that stuff don't really work and may even hurt a good battery. It is also my opinion that once the OEM bulbs burn out people seem to be doing a LOT of bulb replacement that I believe is due to that 16-17 volt charge rate after every start stressing the bulbs.
  20. All the info in that book is readily available for free online with just a bit of searching.
  21. I had to spend a week in Texas, in March, on a business trip, I nearly died from the heat. I can not understand why anyone would live down south. I find no logical reason to put up with life threatening weather for half of the year. I'll take a good old blizzard any day. I guess it all comes down to what one likes. If the whole world had the same climate it would be awfully boring and miserable. Good thing we have choices so we can pick what we like.
  22. My machine does not work at all without your cold air. So yes you can stop the snow by simply stopping my supply of cold air. Good luck on your drive down.
  23. I am blaming all this mess on @Yammer Dan He seems to have admitted that he sneaked up here and messed with things, just ask @cowpuc what he did. I am sneaky, I am using paper plates for dinner, that way I can get more food without breaking my weight lifting restrictions.
  24. Been there done that. I have a pair of scissors that made that issue go away on all of my shoes.
  25. Because even this kind of cold is still better than 100°. I can dress for the cold and still go out and play. When it gets to 90° and higher, I can only take off so much clothes before I get arrested, and it is still to hot for survival. There are a lot more people die from the heat than the cold.
