  1. That is exactly what I was going to suggest. Aiming a light is not like aiming a bullet. Light travels in a straight line and has no "drop" so you do not have to aim high to get the light there.
  2. I just replaced both valve cover gaskets on my 88. as long as it was apart I also replaced the seals on the valve cover screws. It was not a big job. I just got sick of the oil running down the side of the engine and dripping on the pipes while riding. Besides, How can I pick on my buds HD leaks if I have my own.
  3. But it does work under water. I have used it for attaching live coral to a rock in my salt water aquarium. Obviously since it is LIVE coral the whole process had to be done to a wet rock and wet coral while under the water. Still worked great and the uncured epoxy did not hurt any other critters in the tank.
  4. This is why I now always fill as soon as I get down to 1 bar.
  5. Hmmmm.... I have an '88 standard XVZ1300
  6. I am after all of the user info. I have the repair manual that has answered most of my questions, but not all. Things like recommended tire pressures, recommended shift points, and who knows what other tidbits might be in there that I won't even think to ask.
  7. It would be but the pic shows an older XVZ1200 manual, and not the one described. I appreciate everyones help though.
  8. I just checked here; http://www.yamahapubs.com/html/itemsearch.jsp?type=MC&Year=1988&Brand=VENTURE&model= The manual is shown as discontinued. I know that there are differences in some things from year to year but I have no idea what specifically those differences might be.
  9. I have been searching everywhere that I can find for this Owners Manual for over a year now with no luck. I have downloaded the PDF for the '83 manual which is a help, but would like the correct manual for my '88 Venture. If anyone still has an Owners Manual for an '88 Venture and would be willing to part with it for a short while, I would be willing to scan it, create a PDF, post the PDF here for all to use, and I will pay the shipping of your manual both ways. Any takers??? Please Jeff Borowski

  11. I just got my USPS notification tooo. Thanks a lot. I know that what you are doing is a pain in the but. I appreciate it greatly.
  12. GW I wish my 88 leaned like that. Mine stays so upright that I am afraid it might fall to the right side. There is even right side damage indicated that it has fallen to the right for a previous owner. I always have to lift the bike up to fully extend the shocks to get it to stay upright. I have to run my air pressure in the shocks fairly low so that the windshield will clear the door frame of the shed I keep it in. Is yours maybe a little on the high side?
  13. PayPal sent for a Aluminum one. Gee, with the way the numbers are still climbing, maybe you can get another price break for 60. Thanks again. Jeff:bighug:
  14. If its still not to late put me in foe one also. Thanks for your efforts. Jeff
