    No pics of your new code legal handiwork? I am getting close to starting a major remodeling of the bathroom and need all of the ideas I can get. I will have to gut everything to the joists, studs and rafters and start over without loosing use of the bathroom for more than a few hours at a time. should be fun....not. But I have a plan......

    WOW!!! I do my own reloading so I always know what I've got. The 44 MAG loads are very near a full case, I can not see how to get enough powder in the case to do that much damage unless it was completely the wrong powder. My first thought was that the gun was fired with an obstructed barrel. 90% of my shooting is with ammo that I have reloaded myself. ALL of the bad loads that I have ever fired were with name brand factory ammo.

    FWIW As far as the camp fuels go, as was mentioned in the other thread, they are mainly Naphtha. But I know that there is a significant difference between brands. For a while we were experimenting with camp fuel as a fuel for small 2 cycle engines. Using the same oil mix there was a huge difference in how the engines ran with Colman vs Ozark brands. This confirms the statement in the other thread that all camp fuel, aka naphtha, is not created equal. The seafoam has IPA in it which does more than just suck up moisture. IPA is also a solvent and it burns quite well, Ever notice how many race cars burn alcohol. Yes most gas that you can get since 1995 has up to 10% ethanol in it and should do the same as the Seafoam for moisture. Seafoams main ingredient is oil. I am not sure what the oil does in the grand scheme of things but it may be there to lubricate those parts that you just cleaned up. Will any old oil do the same job, Who knows.

    When I did this method I was working alone. It took 70 lbs of old barbell weights in the trunk to hold the front tire off the ground. I then lowered the front and took out the weight to make sure it stayed there. I do not have any nice level pavement to work with so I used a 2 foot x 8 foot chunk of 3/4 plywood that I had laying around and did this all on the lawn. There is just enough clearance to put the front forks down on the ply floor and not hit the chin on the floor. But this method works great. Unfortunately I will get to try it again soon.

    At least you can still come here to play. So in the seven hours that you are investing into this could you have done it yourself and learned some things along the way?

    I am going to have to make up a skunk kit to keep in the truck. This way where ever I am I can mix it up and fix the mut BEFORE she has to get back in the truck. Thanks

    Yes I do. I get it close with the wall and then fine tune it at speed for proper illumination on the road. Even though the HID is incredibly bright I do not get anyone flashing their lights at me at night. My HID does have a very sharp horizontal cutoff with a rise on both ends. Bikes have the rise on both sides to help illuminate the turn in either direction while leaning the bike, cars have the light biased to the right side.

    When I went from the stock bulb to the Silver Star I had to reaim the headlight. When I went from the Silver Star to the HID I had to reaim the headlight. I have never changed a headlight bulb on any vehicle that I have owned and not had to reaim the headlight. In your pics it looks like the HID is aimed very low. Once aimed correctly, my HID kicks the Silver Star right out of town. My bike now has better illumination than my truck with all 6 halogen lights on, two of which are Silver Star. I have the HID from HID Country, Bi-Xenon 6,000K, and found the beam to be very well focused on both high and low beam. Maybe there is some truth in the claim that their bulbs are the brightest on the market. They even double checked with me to fix the screw-up that I made when placing the order online. A very good place to do business with. I will be getting more HID for my truck from them and getting rid of the Silver Stars in that to.

    Well I checked everything mentioned and nothing leaked. The gas was down to 1 bar so there was not much in there to leak. I started it up and took it for a quick lap through the park and all seems well. I did some banging and pushing and pulling on the fairing to check for cracks and the only looseness that I found was the rider.... I guess this means that I am either lucky or all of my vents for everything are plugged. Mike I'm still working on the snorkel, I get tired treading water while working on it, so it is going slow. It was interesting bringing it back up since at one point on the way up it was teetering on the side stand, I just kept hoping that the side stand would not fold back or snap off while I was pushing up the weight. I would hate to have 800 lbs suddenly shift on me. Now that it is day later and nothing hurts that did not hurt before so at least I did not hurt myself picking it up.

    I had the bike parked out in the back yard today and my baby fell down. The ground was so soft from all of the rain that we have been having that the side stand and the 4 inch dia metal plate it was on sunk into the ground and over she went. I was not sure how to pick it up since the side stand was still in the down position with the bike laying on the left side. I have never before tried to pick up a heavy bike that was fully on its side, and certainly not with the side stand in the way. I was happy to find the the old but against the seat and push with the legs brought it right up. I was even happier to find that due to the soft ground the mirror was simply buried into the ground and there was not so much as a scratch on anything. Dodged a bullet on that one. Now the next question. Is there any thing that should be looked at and or checked from the hour or so that it was laying down for a nap?

    This is getting ridiculous. There are mushrooms growing where none have ever grown before...... It has been 3 weeks since I have been able to cut the grass, I lost my 80Lb dog in the long grass today. I'm getting dishpan body just from the humidity....... Yes I am whining, and I don't even have a 2nd gen.....

    OK I have decided that if I want to do anymore riding that I need to install a snorkel on the bike so that I can pull air from at least 6 feet above my head. I'll wear scuba gear while riding. What all breathers or other holes will need to be sealed up on the engine/drive line? With all of these monster storms that keep marching through here, this may end up being the only way to get around on the scoot. PS Anyone have a set of construction plans for building an Ark?
