  1. If I was there then I would not be here. But since I am here I can not possibly be there. Unless of course here and there are in the same space time continuum at opposite ends of a black body driven worm hole.
  2. With the speed of my typing, by the time I get done typing an answer, everyone forgot the question as it has scrolled up and off the page. You pros are just to fast.......... At least I have a 1st gen so I can do something fast.
  3. FWIW I checked the address on Google Earth and that is the address for the UK Border Agency, UKs version of the Immigration control.
  4. I clicked on the I Like button.
  5. There are loads of scams on legit job sites. My GF is job hunting and at least 75% of the job offers that she gets are scams. These scumbags are preying on those that are already down on their luck hoping that their situation may remove some inhibition to take a chance at getting a job. DON"T GET ME STARTED ON THIS ONE........
  6. You are right, you have a crazy desire...... Watch eBay, they pop up there pretty often, maybe more so toward spring.
  7. Are you trying to throw logic and/or common sense into the government thought process? That could take down this whole country.

    Key Please!

I had my spares made at the local Ace Hardware. They stock the blanks.
  9. Whenever I have to look through the processes I Google all of the ones that I do not recognize as supposed to be there. The more often you do this drill the more programs you will recognize for next time. It takes a while to do it this way, but I can usually track down the bad one and then figure out how to make it go away.
  10. In my best 3 stooges voice Hmmm, a wise guy.....
  11. I give it a couple of days after release for the first fakes to come out. Maybe a month for the good fakes.
  12. The most fun I had was loading my old Yammi 650 into the back of a truck after it had stopped an Oldsmobile 98. The front wheel was basically next to the engine. It did not track so good on the ramp. That was interesting.

  14. That article touches on one drawback of integrated brakes but does not fully address it. If you are going down a grade like a driveway that is gravel at slow speed, or even coming to a complete stop on a very slick surface, the integrated brake can lock up the front wheel while trying to stop, and because you are a t a very low speed there is no engine braking available, there is gyroscopic stability being provided by the wheels, and there is no significant weight transfer to the front wheel. Your only way to get stopped while still vertical in this senario is to very rapidly pump the rear brake while keeping your weight bias to the left since you right foot is too busy to hold up the bike when it does stop. At the moment the bike fully stops be ready to grab the front brake to hold position so you can get your right foot down quick. This is something that I have practiced a lot since I use the technique nearly every time I come home at night or if its been raining.
  15. Yup, halfway up the ramp he pulled in the clutch. I wonder what the repair bill was????
  16. And you are publicly admitting to this?????
  17. That makes it easy then. Since it is already capable of running from 12VDC then all you need is a battery. Axtually from the numbers you posted it is more efficient on 12V than it is on 100-240VAC A small deep cycle battery that has 80AH (most are bigger than this) means that you will be able to run your cpap for around 19-21 hours on a charge. Figure that the most usable power that you will get from the battery is about 75% of what it is rated for. So while you are shopping batteries just take the Ah rating of the battery you are looking at and divide by 4 Amps (3A ÷ 75%) to get the approximate run time for your cpap. The 25 W solar cell will take a minimum of 1.5 hours to replace the power from 1 hour of use. Longer if it is cloudy or the sun is lower in the sky. It may be worth it to have both the charging wire from the bike and the solar cell or 2. If you are going to add the charging wire to the bike there are a couple of minor issues to discuss.
  18. I made up a Headlight control based off of the side stand switch. It is a very simple circuit with 3 relays. Yes I have a HID and do not like the wear and tear of it firing up as soon as I turn the key and then going off and back on for the start. When I start the bike with the side stand down the headlight will remain off till I raise the side stand. Once the side stand is raised the headlight will come on and stay on whether the stand is up or down till I turn off the key. It is fairly automatic to be able to work with my CRS. This also works great for when I am working on the bike and do not have a need for the headlight draining the battery while I putz with whatever I am putzing with.
  19. I did some looking online at a cpap, and it looks like they need 150-200 watts of power from an inverter with a peak of up to 400 watts. This means that it will take a 25 W solar cell 3 to 4 hours to replace each hour of use. In the real world it will take a little longer.
  20. Look on your cpap unit, there should be a nameplate with its power requirements. If we know exactly how much power is needed it is a lot easier to make recommendations. When they rate solar cells, they list the MAX power output assuming that you are on the equator with the solar cell aimed perfectly at the sun at noon. I have this one from HF and it takes it about two weeks to charge the battery on my RV. I use it more as a maintainer than a charger. The 25W panel will give you a MAX output of 2 Amps but a realistic output of about 1.5A. If that is near the power requirements of your cpap then it should work. But some real numbers from your specific unit will help us help you. Look for info such as Volts, Amps, Watts.
  21. Glad you are able to tell us all about it. When you are about to get rear-ended, You always have several choices; You can pull forward to give more room for the fool to get stopped. You can blow the light if traffic allows to get clear of the situation. You can make a quick right turn if traffic allows. You can just take your foot off the brake to minimize damage to your vehicle (MAXIMIZES damage to you). You can stand on the brake hard to maximize damage to your vehicle but minimize damage to you. You can pull up tight to the vehicle in front of you to use its mass to help absorb your impact from behind. There may be more or less options available in any one situation, but if you have put some thought into the options and consider them at EVERY stop, your brain will most likely pick the best option for the situation with no conscious thought.
  22. While the solar cell is great for topping off as long as you have a big enough one or maintaining the charge. You might want to consider adding a wire to the trailer connector to charge the battery from the bikes alternator. That way if you get a couple of cloudy days you will not run out of power.
  23. While a loud vehicle is fun to play with once in a while, If you do any distance at a steady speed it gets to be real obnoxious real quick. I hear of way to many people that wear earplugs so that they can ride, that is just not safe. Off my soapbox now.......
  24. Didn't you mean that 95 should be the MAX temp. I agree, yes theoretically there will be a difference between your 50° shop and 70° "room temperature", but I doubt that anyone on this site has the ability to measure it in their garage.
  25. That's OK, we like helping the "dufuses" It is the ones that pretty much know what they are doing that ask the really hard questions.
