I would also assume that a washing machine cycle may have just slightly more agitation and chemicals than a glass of clean water. The technology for water proofing electronics is cheap, easy and has been around for more than 40 years. I think the phone manufacturers are just giddy that there have been over 85 million phones destroyed by being dropped in the drink. Why would they want to end the gravy train?

Being banged up is not a good excuse. Last year one of the most banged up TEAMS won the Super Bowl, the hard way from the #6 seed. The TEAM adjusted to work with the personal available. OK, so I have green and gold tinted glasses. .

Or a too short tongue, adding tongue weight is a lot easier than stretching the tongue. So try adding tongue weight first. That is why you see so many trailers with the cooler on the tongue. Makes it easy to add weight. More food and drink.

I have the same HF trailer and a car topper on it. That was about the same speed mine started to sway regardless of tongue weight or load weight. I added on a swivel coupler that adds 7 inches to the tongue and it still swayed, but not as bad. So I stretched the tongue 18 inches and now all is good. I did remove the extra spring leaf. I tried to flip the axle but it made the tire to close to the fender. The tire will hit the fender when loaded going over bumps. I would need to make some brackets to raise the fenders and then I can flip the axle. I have found that mine sits dead level when loaded with the axle in the stock location. If I were to flip the axle the trailer would sit tail low. Even though it would be lower it would still be more air resistance because it is not straight into the wind like it is when level. So if I do flip the axle to lower the trailer I also will need to lower the ball on the bike the same 3 inches. This is sounding to much like work. Maybe some day when I have nothing else to do.

I am, I can still remember when the dead sea was still healthy. But still not old enough to retire. I figure I have another 50 or so years to work before I can retire.

My Father took a bad fall

Unfortunately there are laws that prevent the nursing home from putting sides on a bed. They are not allowed to use any type of restraint and bed rails are considered a restraint. They said the best they can legally do is to put the side of the bed against the wall and then put a single chair against the other side, and a mattress on the floor to help soften the landing. -
Jeeze, all you retired guys are starting to make me feel young, even though I am old.

I found out the hard way that no matter how fast you go, sawdust does not blow off of a bike.

We test everything new that comes on the market to see how it compares to what we make. The 2 best brands right now for actual cleaning are Erika and Hoover. At home I have a 30+ year old canister vacuum cleaner, the company is long out of business but it still works better than any modern vacuum. If you put the end of the hose on your arm it will leave an instant bruise from the suction. It is my understanding of what really makes a vacuum cleaner work and then seeing the Dyson commercials that always make me laugh. Of course there is nothing available on the retail home market that can even come close to the power and cleaning ability of a commercial unit. Most homeowners will not spend $4-8K on a machine to clean their carpet.

My Father took a bad fall

Well it has been a week now since he was kicked out of the hospital and put into the nursing home. Now that he is out of the hospital environment he is getting noticeably better every day. His speech is getting to be a lot more coherent. He is now making complete sentences (without changing the subject in mid sentence) and even stringing sentences together. He has been upgraded from pureed food to minced food. He had a Sloppy Joe burger yesterday and seemed to really enjoy eating something that resembled real food. He is now able to spend most of the day sitting upright in a wheel chair and has learned how to motor the chair around with his feet. Between the feeding tube and him eating better his color is nearly back to normal. Then with all of the good news, I just found out that last night he fell out of bed and hit his head on the night stand and floor and now has a big bruise on the top of his head about 2 inches from where the skull fracture was. If there was anything that he did not need right now it is more head trama. We are hoping that the fall did not cause any new damage, Doc says we wont know for a couple of days. He did remember falling out of bed and was able to talk about it today, I think this is the first short term or current memory that he has been able to retain since the fall. Up till now his short term memory was down to literally about 1 minute. He is a very long way from being out of the woods. The medication for the brain swelling is not compatible with his heart and anti clotting meds so he can not take either which dramatically raises risk of heart and blood clot issues. He has been getting clots in his arms and legs, we still have to hope that no clots go anywhere important. Thanks for all of you prayers and well wishes, I am sure that they are helping. -
That really sucks...... But on the other hand, since I design commercial carpet cleaning equipment for a living, I know way to much about cleaning carpet to get a Dyson.

What is this plug??

If it is coming out of the computer like was mentioned, I would just leave it alone. While it may have 12V showing on a voltmeter, the computer circuitry may not have the ability to supply any meaningful amps without leaking out some of the magic blue smoke that the computer runs on. -
That mans all you have to do now is chop, stack and haul firewood....... Yes I'm jealous.........

So where did you find the info on how this is supposed to go together? A book somewhere, or just looking at the parts till you figured it out, or the dreaded trial and error method?

If you let the bike sit for a couple of weeks and have it not be able to start, you have some other issues to look for. My bike sits for the whole winter in a cold steel garden shed and still fires right up in the spring. I just make sure that the water level in the battery is always correct and give it a good run if I had to add water recently before storage. The Yuasa battery in my bike is now 5 years old. I put it in new a week after I got the bike. It often sits neglected for several weeks especially in the spring and fall. During the winter I start the bike once a month and let it run at about 3,000 rpm till the cooling fan has cycled at least twice. I then top off the tank with some fresh gas + Stable + Seafoam. Yes the Deka type batteries are a better battery than the old lead acid type, some day when this battery dies I will most likely go that route just to not have to keep adding water all of the time. If you really want to have a tender of some sort on the battery and there is no power available, I use a solar tender on my RV that is used for 1 week per year. The battery is always ready to go, and is still the one that was in it when I bought it 6 years ago. The PO did not know how old the battery was at that time because it was in it when he bought it 4 years earlier. That makes that battery 10+ years old and still going strong.

That will not help since the HID is pulling its power directly from the battery and not through the bikes headlight wiring. With the HID the bikes headlight circuit is now only driving a relay to select hi or low beam. If the CC light that you have works the same way as the one from HID Country then there are a couple of things you will need to do. It is not a hard job but does need to be done. Here is the writeup that I did. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=45603 If you have the bi xenon bulb that does both hi and low beam then you must disable the RLU or it WILL burn out the bulb motor.

That can be arranged. Or we will all just show up at your place for ice cream and a swim.......

If it is the valve cover gasket leaking then you need to replace that, If it is just leaking around the bolts then you just need to replace the bolt gasket P/N 2GH-1111G-00-00, they are around $3 each. If you are going to go thru the effort of changing the valve cover gaskets then you want to plan on also replacing the bolt gaskets at the same time. AND while you have the covers off, check the valve clearances.

But when it come to cool, I thought cost was no object. If the cost of cool were an issue, there would be no such thing as CHROME or other add ons that serve no purpose other than cool. So who is going to be the first from this forum to do it???? -
No one ever accused me of being family friendly........ ...., SNOW, SNOW, SNOW, SNOW, SNOW, SNOW, SNOW!!!!

Dang it! That looks like a fun project. I think the only race cars with carbs are where the rules require carbs.
