Same old headlight ???
Flyinfool replied to bilko1's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
And then while you are in the CMS You can do the jumpering so that it is ready to accept LED tail and brake lights and a HID headlight. You have to be careful riding the 1st gens, If you go to fast and exceed the speed of light then the photons end up getting stuck in the light which backs up the power and causes problems. A more powerful bulb will force the light out even at warp speed. Well you asked for some smartass comments........ -
Next I suppose you will say that it doesn't have a cassette deck either..... What is the world coming to???? Not to worry, we will stop at every ice cream stand and wait for you.......

With the free emails, it is fairly common to have your account hijacked. It is not usually something on your computer. What happens is they take an email from one of the free places that they know is a good email address and they try to log into the account. They have a computer that just keeps bombarding the account with passwords till they finally hit the one that works. They now have full access to your email account. While they are in there, they copy all of your contacts to know that they are good emails and will start attacking those accounts. All you have to do to make them stop is to log into your email account and change your password, It will keep them out for about a year till they figure out your new password. This has happened to many people that I know. At least you did not get the jerks that hacked into my Yahoo email, after they were done sending out their spam, they deleted all of my contacts. Fortunately I do back up my contacts regularly.

I guess that would make me the slowest. I just use my Springday snow remover, some spring day it will all be gone. I have only had to shovel the driveway once in the 30 years that I lived here, and that more to find the truck.:snow2::snow2::snow2: It is snowing now, I'll just ignore this one too.

Yes they do.........

Maybe you should get a nice red and yellow sticker, "CAUTION, Contents under pressure":rotf: I have read a bunch of stories very similar to yours. I will be draining my forks this winter, I will be neater than you were...... I hate cleaning things. Did you toss some stuff from the laundry basket into the wash with your oily shirt just to make a full load? Maybe some of the wife's things? Now they all smell like fork oil? You may not notice the aroma but she sure will........

I'm in the other boat on the other side of the fence to, now that I am older I am looking to move out into the country, maybe to an old farm, and get out of the city. I guess the grass is always greener............ I was referring to "the well quitting" kind of water as referenced in the second to last sentence. I sure hope that the other kind of water never quits, my grass would never get watered.

Fallen Gears when I removed the cover.

Ya just had to post and mess up the free icecream. Jeez old people............... -
Some of that witch you like will not be gone just cuz you move to the city. The power still goes out. The water mains break and the water gets turned off. The sewers still back up. And you can still be snowbound for days at a time. It will be just like home.

And are you still breathing after posting your wife's weight on the internet????? Yup Earl will be getting a call from me soon for the springs, and HD RR/stator, and maybe the anti-dive block-off plates. The couple of dollars difference is well worth it.

Pretty much all of the twin rotor helies are for indoor or possibly outdoor if there is near zero wind. The controls are set up differently than on a "real" rc heli so you will be learning bad habits that will have to be broken down the road when you move up. If you were to move up to a single rotor like the Blade MSR then it can handle at lest a light breeze of 5mph for a beginner or up to 10mph once you get some experience. The other advantage of something with a single rotor is that you will be learning the same type of control inputs the you will be using on a more advanced heli. Or go with the Blade mCPX and you will be flying a fully capable heli that also bounces very well, and can be flown indoors or outdoors up to 20mph wind. Of course each time you move up to better it will cost more. My personal recommendations on the best heli to start with is either the Trex 600N or the Raptor 50, These are both very common so you can get help learning to set it up correctly, learn to fly, easy to repair, repair parts are available everywhere and repair parts are not real expensive. This size of heli (in my opinion) is the best compromise between being big enough to see and fight off wind gusts and cost of ownership and performance. Either of these can be set up as mild for the beginner learning to fly to all out 3D smack-down to fly like in the videos. HA! Now you gots a lot more to think about.

Clock runs too fast
Flyinfool replied to cabreco's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
If the battery is low, when you hit the starter the voltage may be dropping low enough that the clock thinks the battery was removed. My truck does that whenever the battery terminals need cleaning. The clock will reset while starting. -

The only guess I can come up with is.......... Since It is only the hours that are messing up it may be that while the switch button is moving properly, maybe the contacts are sticking or dirty with something conductive. -
Oh drat........ That weren't in the budget yet...... So much for the budget.......

Here in WI you can only hunt with a crossbow if you are disabled in a way that prevents you from pulling a bow. Our most recent big hunting regs accomplishment was allowing scopes with magnification on muzzle loaders during the muzzle loader deer season. (now I have to go out and buy another scope) I think cross bows are still a long way off here. I have not even heard of any rumblings in that direction. If cross bows are legalized here or if they create a cross bow season, then I will have to run out and buy one and learn to use it. I can't have any kind of a deer hunting season happen without me. Good luck in your quest.
