  1. There you go, you used the "P" word again, 2 posts in a row. Now yer gonna git it.
  2. Six Truths in Life 1. You cannot stick your tongue out and look up at the ceiling at the same time, a physical impossibility. 2. All idiots, after reading #1 will try it. 3. And discover #1 is a lie. 4. You are smiling now because you are an idiot. 5. You soon will forward this to another idiot. 6. There is still a stupid smile on your face . I sincerely apologize about this but I'm an idiot and I needed company.
  3. Just a quick update. Today the feeding tube came out. I was a little surprised at how much of a non issue that was. Just in the office, the doc says there will be a little pinch, he grabbed the tube and yanked it out, and put on a band aid. That was it. He is still scheduled to come home tomorrow. This will be the real test to see if my mother can make him behave. Even in his weakened state he is still a lot bigger and stronger than mom. And he does not follow instructions well. It will be an interesting day tomorrow.
  4. I have gotten into the habit of when I place an order at a fast food place I just automatically end with "and that's all". Most places will not try to upsell at that point, the ones that do will get to hear the standard "And what part of 'that's all' are you to stupid to under stand?" Yes I am old and getting cranky.
  5. I would use either the grease on the tap and drill trick and/or tape over the small holes in the bottom of the reservoir till you are sure there are no chips left in there.
  6. Yep The shorter answer is; It does not matter if the cells are in series or parallel, batteries always all drain at the same time.
  7. :sign yeah that: :sign yeah that: I do the same thing.
  8. I would try a Heli-Coil before I tried JB weld. The Heli-Coil will make it better than new. This is of course assuming you have the tools to put the Heli-Coil in. You can probably by a replacement master for less that the coil kit.
  9. One other thought. Check the temp of the rear end after a good long run, maybe it is getting hotter than normal causing it to vent more than it would otherwise.
  10. Nice job. Another one bites the dust. Reeled in hook line and sinker.........
  11. Yup it is getting here today/tonight. Those north of the snow line are expecting 15+ inches of and south of the line more than 1 inch of rain. That line is just about centered on WI. I am south of the line so I have to hope that the storm drops south some so I can share in the fun. Not looking good for that though.
  12. But you do not have to worry about anything in your garage rusting for a while.......
  13. I don't know about that. The old handheld gun that I have is used to clock model airplanes, they are mostly balsa wood and or plastic, but the gun picks them up just fine. Radar guns also have no problem picking up a baseball. Even a 1st gen has a lot more metal than a toy airplane or a baseball. Maybe they feel sorry for us thinking that all we can afford is an "old beater" bike.
  14. My experience has been that most solvents strong enough to get thru the paint will find the plastic to be no challenge to dissolve. I would fire up the DA sander.
  15. You got my attention. :mo money: :mo money:
  16. I'm interested.
  17. On my 88 the light comes on at 160 ±5 miles and I put in 4.0 ±0.15 gallons. The book says it is a 5 gallon tank. I fill it just to the bottom of the filler neck. So theoretically I have about 40 miles left in the tank when the light comes on, I HATE that light blinking at me so I do not like to push it. That selector is so hard to turn that I like most of us just leave it on reserve all of the time. I would sure hate to break the valve, trying to turn it, out on the road somewhere.
  18. Get busy, digging trenches, pouring footings, stacking block and pushing cement is a better workout than what you can get in a gym. Then you can find all of the mussels that you were ignoring in the gym.
  19. They are pretty good at knowing when you are on to them and want you to stop bothering them or wasting their time while they are trying to make a living..........
  20. I did use my GPS in an airplane a few times. The peak speed shows as 178 MPH. I had a LEO that stopped me once and asked if he could see the GPS, he checked the Max speed readout and had to agree that there is no way my truck did 178 MPH on his stretch of highway. Since that time I usually clear the max speed after every speed run or passing maneuver. I know that I am not required to allow him to look at the GPS, but that day it was funny and I knew it could not be used against me.
  21. Well I still have not gotten a darn thing done on the bike or trailer. Dang work. But I do have a growing pile of parts to put on. I have the new E3s to put on. I have the new reflector to put on I have the new carb diaphragms to put on I have the new spark plugs to put on I have the new HID driving lights to put on I have almost a thousand LEDs I can put on (might not need them all ) I have the parts to make the center brake light and controller for the trailer. I have my valve shim tool (it is out for testing now) I have the stuff to add lights to my shed so I can work after dark. Now I just need the time to be able to do all of this. I hate working 3 jobs.
  22. :sign yeah that: :sign yeah that: :sign yeah that: :sign yeah that: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:
  23. Actually it is a good post, cuz I aint got what it takes to find out if she has what it takes to red line 4th and/or fifth gears. But I sure would like to know if it can and how fast would that be.
  24. Did you BS your way out of the diet?
  25. It is most likely metric. 8mm is very close to a 5/16 course.
