  1. Know anyone that can weld...........
  2. eveyone knew the dewy decimal system.
  3. yup everything said above. The bike does not see heat index. Only you do. The thermostat will keep the engine at the same temp regardless of what is circulating in the system. The ONLY time a more efficient coolant will help is if you are having overheating problems where you have exceeded the capacity of the cooling system.
  4. But did they slow down because of the deer, or just because the guy that hit the deer said he was going to go slow because he had no front brakes.
  5. A 200lb machine should be easy.
  6. Its not leaking cuz it is not cooling off. Remember? it only leaks when cold. My temp gauge was already off the pin before I even started it the last few days. Well when you take it apart, and you are in that deep, maybe you should look at..............
  7. Video will cost ya........... There is NO ONE allowed in front of the move. If it gets away, I would be short one videographer. I do not want to have to scrape up a road pizza with bits of camera from the basement floor. This should be easy compared to the 3400 lb milling machine that was put down there by just 4 guys, of which I am the biggest. And I ain't that big. It will most likely be at least a month before the big move. I have to finish helping my parents move first. Now, where did I put all of that lumber to hold up the steps??????????
  8. I am guesstimating it at around 1500 lbs. The Tree 2UVR Milling machine in my basement is 3400 lbs. My lathe was a wimpy 1200 lbs. Half the fun is the move. The closest that I could find to someone to move any of my machines was that I found a rigging company that would come and watch me move the mill for $1500. I told them they would have to pay me the $1500 for me to teach then how to move heavy equipment into a homes basement. Movers wont touch machinery and riggers only want to work where they can drive a forklift or crane. My ribs need to heal up some more before I do this move. Should be fun. Its only 2 corners and down 1 flight of stairs. Simple........
  9. Well it only took 2 years of negotiating but it is finally mine. Well sort of. I bought it, I paid for it, now I just have to get it off the 4th floor that it is on and then get it home and then into my basement (I have no garage). It will eat up 4 ft x 6 ft of floor area in my tiny little basement. It is a Brown and Sharp No.2 (B?)
  10. Here is the info you need. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showpost.php?p=688384&postcount=27
  11. I just had to replace a bunch of bearings in my cheapo bandsaw. I got the bearings at a local bearing supplier, just brought the old ones in and they matched them up and gave me a bunch of quality/cost options. It was only an afternoon of work and a whole lot faster and cheaper than a new saw.
  12. Can you tell them 51 to 149? Its better.........
  13. This is the one I have that has adjustable emissivity. http://tempgun.com/products/pe2/ It also has a narrow viewing angle so you can get the temp of the spot you are really after. The one that you posted the pic is just blurry enough that I can not read the chart on the side to see how big the view is at a given distance. I have seen some with as bad as a 1:1 viewing angle.
  14. Depending on what you plan to use it for, many (most) of the cheap IR temp guns do not work well checking the temp of chrome, aluminum or other shiny metals. Idealy they like to look at a flat black surface. For a little more money you can get them with adjustable emissivity that will allow you to do Temp check of bare metals much more accurately.
  15. See Dan, I knew you could stay well ahead of me...... Maybe you are just using too much lube while screwing the roof...... I sure hope I never get that old.......
  16. Just what I need, Even worse gas mileage. I just hope it remains optional and never becomes mandatory.
  17. Battery #5 on a 5 year old bike tells me there is some other problem going on.
  18. All of the dimensional data for the bolt is here. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=41489
  19. If the reservoir is full to the top it is overfull. Use a rag or paper towel to get some fluid out so that it is about half full. DO NOT let any fluid drip on paint or plastic.
  20. Can you see the fluid level in the master sight glass? It should be around the middle of the glass.
  21. See Ya gotta learn to land on yer head so ya don't hurt nuttin.....:stickpoke:
  22. It depends, If you replace the diodes BEFORE the old one dies it can be done. If you wait till the TCI stops working, there is no way to bring it back to life. Once dead, stays dead forever.
  23. Almost don't count, go try it again till you get it right......... Unless of course yo figured a way to use a relay......
  24. But did it hurt? Well then I didn't hit the ground either, the rocks got in the way........
  25. This whole thing just sounds dangerous.
