  1. The very first time you do it with no help, expect to spend an hour. The second one that you do to help someone else out will be under 30 minutes.
  2. It is either the oil or you need Skydocs clutch spring.
  3. It is also not that uncommon that if you still have the original lines from the master to the slave that the line is inflating like a balloon and using up all of the fluid/pressure sent by the master. Upgrading to SS lines for both clutch and brakes is on my short list of projects. I jst need to decide if I want to delink or not. But that is a different thread.
  4. I'm not laughing, thru the floor is the only way to fix my bathroom issues.
  5. Option 5. tear out the floor and attack from above........ Just trying to help....
  6. I'm still trying to talk someone from this end of the state to come with. Or even someone coming from farther south that will pass thru here.
  7. Just install the anchors in the driveway and then bolt it down when needed, unbolt and put away when not needed. It might be to high up or wobbly off the truck hitch. Not to mention you need room all the way around it.
  8. Thats how I was planing. 80 and 56 are the same road till they split north of Richland center. At least on my map.
  9. If your recorder has the ability, monitor the temperature also, You really don't want hot dogs..... I have seen a pet trailer that had a "snorkel" sticking up out the top front and turned into the wind with a vent low in the back. This gives forced air cooling and fresh air supply from up high si it should have less exhaust content and less engine heat. The trip to MD I did notice that the front of my trailer was very warm, even the parts not in the sun, could have been engine and exhaust heat.
  10. Didn't the HF one have an adapter for MC tires. Since this does up to 16.5 rims and my 1st gen has an 18 inch front...... Not sure what the tire sizes are on a 2nd gen.
  11. I have not done my stator yet but I have had that cover off. The gasket is just baked on. I had a bout half stayed on the cover and the other half stayed on the engine. PITA to clean
  12. HA! New plan already. HY 19 that runs across the north side of Madison will be closed starting on the 25th. The new plan is to take the beltway around the south side of Madison to 14 and west from there. Unless someone has a better idea. So is anyone coming from or thru SE WI?
  13. What Squid is trying to say is that it is not the actual movement of the dogs that is the problem, it is where they finally lay down to sleep and what the tongue weight ends up at from there. If the dogs head to the back of the trailer and your tongue weight goes away, it could cause you to crash. If the dogs go to sleep at the front you may have way to much tongue weight for the bike to carry. With a 6 foot box I would put in partitions to make the dogs stay in the right place for proper balance. When you calculate the tongue length, you do not use the width of the bed, You use the distance from the center of one wheel to the center of the other wheel. the 1.5 times is the minimum tongue length measured from the axle to the center of the ball. Mine is closer to 2 times. On my HF trailer I had to stretch the tongue about 2 feet to get rid of the wagging at freeway speeds. I ordered a new tongue from HF and welded on a chunk of it so that it would match the original tongue. I do have some left if you need some. I found that Rustolium Red was a perfect match to the HF red.
  14. Black one looks like more capacity. Bigger is better.
  15. The shift lever goes up. I can remember this because gravity wants it to be down and that is wrong. It can never be the easy way........
  16. :sign yeah that: Or are you unconsciously resting your foot on the brake to be ready for what is around the next curve.
  17. Use a pruning pole to reach under and cut it off. The pruner will also allow you to pull it out for disposal. Then pour a large amount of salt thru the cracks between the boards to make it stay dead. Put some paper thru the board cracks to act as a long skinny funnel to keep the salt off of the deck so that you do not damage the wood or nails. The pruning pole that I have has a 12 foot reach. If all else fails, a sufficient application of dynamite will make most problems go away.
  18. Both Stripes......
  19. Not likely, If anything it was hard on the gears. If you have a lift to get the rear wheel off the ground, you should be able to shift thru all of the gears just by hand.
  20. No you have it all wrong. We drive on the right side of the road, if you do not drive on the rite side of the road then you are on the wrong side of the road. You even refer to yourselves as "down under". That proves that you are the ones that are upside-down.
  21. Congrats. You think your tired now???? HA!
  22. NOPE!!
  23. Zero??
  24. So who all if anyone is heading from SE WI to the WI MD next week? Just wondering who I might be able to hook up with for the ride. I am planning to head out on Friday.
