    wolo

And 2 is still better than one. With the addition of the second Wolo I can now even get the attention of the ones in a luxury car with the windows up and the AC on.

    guilty

Hopefully the sentence will fit the crime. Around here it way to often is just a slap on the wrist for drunks that kill.
  3. Now that you mention it, I remember seeing that too. I will look into that option to see if it helps any.

  5. I want to move my handle bars back a little. After my first "long distance" ride to MD I came to the conclusion that the pain in my shoulders was due to reaching forward to grip the bars. Si I took off the ignition switch cover and removed the big nuts and moved each bar back 1 spline. Due to the rake angle this also lowered the grips to the point that they were hitting the battery/air cleaner cover. So I loosened the upper bar nuts and raised the grip by 1 spline. this got them back to their original height. I have been riding it this way for a week now to try to get used to the new feel but I just don't like the new feel either. I do like the for/aft position as I can now utilize the backrest to actually support my back better since I am not leaning forward. When the bars came back it also moved them a lot closer together and angled them back more. This combined with having to raise the grips for clearance puts the grips an an angle that causes a significant outward bend in my wrists that is uncomfortable. Also with the grips closer together I am no longer pushing into the curves but more of a pulling the bars sideways type of feel. This makes the bike feel very unsteady at low speed and I do not feel like I have solid control at high speed. I was thinking of getting out the hot wrench to re-bend the bars to get back to the correct ergonomic angle for my wrists. and end up closer to having the effect of the bars just being moved straight back and not closer together. Before I attack it with the torch I want to acquire a spare set of bars, JUST in case. Or does anyone have any other ideas to just move the bars straight back without messing up everything else? While searching, I did find someone that was going to make a set of 1st gen bar backs. I thought of that but I have no way to make an internal and external spline to mount the bars to.

  7. Glad it is over. Looking forward to meeting you at MD next year. Hmmmmmm..... Does that mean you are going to go 2 years with no winter again.
  8. Your not the first to have done that, and wont be the last either. The biggest issue is whether you will ever do that again.
  9. The 2nd gens cant now.....
  10. IT! IT! IT! IT! AND IT! There, I said "IT"! So as long........................
  11. Maybe someone screwed up and leaked the photo of the NEW 2013 motor......
  12. Maybe add some gussets while it is hot. I can't see from the pics how close you would be to the bearing bores. Besides, I just had to say that..........
  13. Know anyone that can weld...........
  14. eveyone knew the dewy decimal system.
  15. yup everything said above. The bike does not see heat index. Only you do. The thermostat will keep the engine at the same temp regardless of what is circulating in the system. The ONLY time a more efficient coolant will help is if you are having overheating problems where you have exceeded the capacity of the cooling system.
  16. But did they slow down because of the deer, or just because the guy that hit the deer said he was going to go slow because he had no front brakes.
  17. A 200lb machine should be easy.
  18. Its not leaking cuz it is not cooling off. Remember? it only leaks when cold. My temp gauge was already off the pin before I even started it the last few days. Well when you take it apart, and you are in that deep, maybe you should look at..............
  19. Video will cost ya........... There is NO ONE allowed in front of the move. If it gets away, I would be short one videographer. I do not want to have to scrape up a road pizza with bits of camera from the basement floor. This should be easy compared to the 3400 lb milling machine that was put down there by just 4 guys, of which I am the biggest. And I ain't that big. It will most likely be at least a month before the big move. I have to finish helping my parents move first. Now, where did I put all of that lumber to hold up the steps??????????
  20. I am guesstimating it at around 1500 lbs. The Tree 2UVR Milling machine in my basement is 3400 lbs. My lathe was a wimpy 1200 lbs. Half the fun is the move. The closest that I could find to someone to move any of my machines was that I found a rigging company that would come and watch me move the mill for $1500. I told them they would have to pay me the $1500 for me to teach then how to move heavy equipment into a homes basement. Movers wont touch machinery and riggers only want to work where they can drive a forklift or crane. My ribs need to heal up some more before I do this move. Should be fun. Its only 2 corners and down 1 flight of stairs. Simple........
  21. Well it only took 2 years of negotiating but it is finally mine. Well sort of. I bought it, I paid for it, now I just have to get it off the 4th floor that it is on and then get it home and then into my basement (I have no garage). It will eat up 4 ft x 6 ft of floor area in my tiny little basement. It is a Brown and Sharp No.2 (B?)
  22. Here is the info you need. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showpost.php?p=688384&postcount=27
  23. I just had to replace a bunch of bearings in my cheapo bandsaw. I got the bearings at a local bearing supplier, just brought the old ones in and they matched them up and gave me a bunch of quality/cost options. It was only an afternoon of work and a whole lot faster and cheaper than a new saw.
  24. Can you tell them 51 to 149? Its better.........
  25. This is the one I have that has adjustable emissivity. http://tempgun.com/products/pe2/ It also has a narrow viewing angle so you can get the temp of the spot you are really after. The one that you posted the pic is just blurry enough that I can not read the chart on the side to see how big the view is at a given distance. I have seen some with as bad as a 1:1 viewing angle.
