Front axle question.
Flyinfool replied to BigLenny's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Go ahead and use penetrating oil. Just clean the threads with brake cleaner prior to reassembly. I also see no problem with using an impact for removal only. If using heat to try to loosen loctite, it only takes about 360°F (180°C) to break down blue loctite, or about 550°F (260°C) to break red loctite, disassemble while hot. If red loctite was used then see if you can get your longest breaker bar to conform to the head of the person that put it in there. Do not over heat, at 650°F (343°C) you are starting to risk changing the temper and strength of the forks. -

It is most effective to just happen to be cleaning a shotgun in the living room while she is being picked up for her first unchaperoned date..........

Stop breaking stuff and you wont need special wrenches........

I'm not sure it it is feasible on the 2nd gens but on my 1st gen I mounted BOTH sets of air horns to the rear crash bars where they cross the front of the side bags. I put one on each side. -
Well if Seafoam didn't fix it, then you will need the heavy guns. Put puter in a big bag, fill it with uncooked rice, seal it up for a month. After the month, make a big batch of Spanish rice....... If that don't work I can bring my .50 cal......... That's sure to have some impact.

Don, Is it possible to start a private chat room where a group could discuss things like the planing for events? I know you can have a private chat with one other person, I am looking for a private chat with more than one person at a time.

If you want to tackle this yourself, and there is another working computer in the house, go to http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ It is a computer geek site that is as friendly and with a knowledge base comparable to here. Someone will hold your hand thru the process. But you will need another working computer and a thumb drive and maybe a cd burner.

That is why they invented backups..... If it is really some form of malware that has infected your puter it should be saveable. If your problem is a hardware failure then it is toast. Either way it may be possible to save some or all of your pics.

Just to clarify. Is this the headlight that is not working or the front and rear running lights that are not working? If it is the headlight then it could be the the start switch, if it is the running lights then don't mess with the start switch. If you determine that the fuse holder is bad, get an inline fuse holder from a Radio Shack or any auto parts store to make a safe temporary repair till you get home and then change out the whole fuse panel.

Keyboards are cheap. Even if you end up getting a new puter you can still use the new keyboard. You have to know someone that has an old keyboard laying around that you can borrow. Maybe Seafoam will help.......

Did you go to the Microsoft website to run the security essentials or did something pop up to take you there?

We would rather see pics of the blond.......... As mentioned, unless you are doing something in 3D then a low end computer will serve you well for many years to come.

Unless the scan happened because you told it to run, there was really no scan, that scan looking window IS the virus. do not click on it anywhere. :sign yeah that: :sign yeah that: :sign yeah that: :sign yeah that: Download this to your desktop. Run it to install it. Run the installed program, Use the Full scan option. It will clean up most bad things. Yes it takes a long time to run.
