  8. Rum Balls can be arranged. But there is no driving after Rum Balls........ I have an RV you can spend the night in if necessary.
  9. When you get to the bottom of lake Michigan you could hang a right and follow I94 which will join up with I90 again at Madison. That will take you thru Milwaukee where you can hit the Harley Davidson Museum. And I'll spring for Ice cream If you are around here late enough for me to escape work. If you cant be here that late then at least wave as you go by.....

  11. [rant] There are handicapped people on motorcycles. Take our own Aussie Annie for instance. She shipps her specially equipped MC over when she come to visit us. I had a case once where I was in a full leg cast in March in Wisconsin winter. I had a temp handicapped tag for my truck. The only time I used it was if the weather was bad and I needed to keep things as dry as possible. There was one time I parked close because there was heavy snow and sleet coming down. Some guy walks up to my truck and starts screaming at me that there is no way a handicapped person can drive a truck like mine. When I got out with my full cast and crutches, his wife began beating him over the head with her purse. You can not tell a handicap from appearances. I know a woman in her late 20s that looks like she could run a marathon. She has a heart condition and can not walk very far. She parks in the handicap spot and then walks into the store and jumps into one of their motorized carts. She gets a lot of strange looks and some rude comments. Just because someone drives a Corvette and is good looking does not mean they are not handicapped. On the other hand there are a lot of people that figure since they have the handicapped plate or tag for a spouse or other relative that they can use it any time for front row parking. A lot of people with motorcycles feel that parking rules do not apply to them. [/rant]
  12. Such a deal I may have for you.......... I still have some of my old audio gear that there is just not room in my living room for, It is collecting dust and occupying space in a spare room. I have to look and see what is all left. It is to long ago, for me to remember names and model numbers.
  13. That was probably a pretty corny night........
  14. As I mentioned above, we do have a long time current member by the name of AmnChode. There is a pic on here some where that is linked to amnchode.net website.
  15. :sign yeah that::sign yeah that: What ever you do, DO NOT CLICK ON THAT LINK. You have been exposed to some bad stuff, it is trying to get you to install the rest of the malware which is then VERY hard to get rid of. Download and run Malwarebytes. It gets rid of most evil things. You may have to go to a clean computer to download it and then run it from a CD or thumb drive. Don Here is the google info that this may be refereing to I wonder if it is just because we have a member with a username that is the same as what google thinks is known bad website?
  16. DOT 5.1 IS compatible with DOT 3 & 4. and does not contain silicone. DOT 5 is NOT compatible with DOT 3 & 4 or possibly the rubber parts of the system and contains silicone. It is easier and safer from a liability standpoint to just say nothing over DOT 4. NAPA carries DOT 5.1, check your local auto parts store or speed shop. You have to check close because some websites list it as DOT 5 but the small print or the container will say DOT 5.1.
  17. Dreamer.......
  18. I believe it is Yakima that makes a bike rack that will mount on a trailer. I don't know about a tandem though. I can not say I have ever seen a tandem mounted on anything. Did you try going to a local bike shop to see what they have?
  19. I suppose that crying in beer may just be its only redeeming value, I can think of only one other good use for the stuff, and that is killing garden slugs.......
  20. With the bike on the lift, and with the bike in gear, can you rotate the tire any more than normal backlash? It could even be that the engine is not running totally smooth and what you are hearing is the wheel bouncing back and forth with the backlash in the system. As you increase the rpm it leaves the resonant frequency of the backlash and so it sounds smooth. Hey at least it is a good sounding WAG.....
  21. You could ask the HID makers if they have an extension cord to relocate the ballast. That way you are not playing with any high voltage wiring. Besides, I'll bet that cutting the high voltage lead to splice in some extra length will void the warranty. HID is the same voltages as a spark plug, my HID is 23,000 Volts. Most test lead wire is rated for 10,000 V. You really don't want to touch that.
  22. You could always hook up the brake light modulator with connectors in such a way that you can easily disconnect it right there in front of the officer and hand it to him and be on your way without it (if he will let you go that easy). I have a friend that had Illegal lights on his P/U truck and he was told to either disable them right now or call for a tow truck. It was not handled like a burned out light because it was something done deliberately to violate the law. He had to get a tow because he could not disable them easily.
  23. I don't see any mice on that bike........
  24. FWIW I think HIDCountry has one of the smallest ballasts. I have 7 of their systems on my various vehicles now. On my truck the ballast will get wet when I drive in the rain. still works fine.
  25. While I don't have that same brand, my HID is the same specs, I love it.
