  1. This one is a little more money but has the advantage of powering the trailer lights right from the battery so that the wiring on the bike does not have to carry the load of the trailer lights. It also isolates the bike circuits from the trailer circuits so that in the event of a short on the trailer the bike lighting is not affected. It only has one more wire to hook up. 2. I put the HF LED lights on my HF trailer. WAY brighter than the stock incandescents, the reduced amp draw is a bonus. The kit comes with both rear lights and the amber front side markers all in LED. it is a bolt on installation, all of the holes lined up with the old. I still run all separate ground wires.
  3. OK someone has to ask the obvious questions. Is the Ipod turned on? Is the Ipod battery charged? Is the radio on the bike turned on? I just last week had to drive 40 miles to service a laptop computer that would start and shut right back off. The power cord was connected to the laptop so it should have plenty of power. Once I got there, I plugged the charger into the wall and all was good.
  4. So how goes the wheel mods? Is it started as planned? ETA for arrival?
  5. HA! I beat Big Tom here, I got dibs on the orange.....
  6. The Cudahy WI Yamaha warehouse is no more.
  7. Your right it is 12 cyl. http://www.enginehistory.org/ModelEngines/merlin_xx.shtml This was done back in 1976 - 81, CNC and CAD/CAM where not all that popular yet.
  8. Along the same lines there is a guy in Europe that has built a scale 16 cyl Roles Royce engine for a scale Spitfire.
  9. The add in that link has already been pulled from feabay. Can you give us the sellers name so we can go looking? I would like a happy butt too......
  10. But Mama insists it be nekid chat.........
  11. I have had the HH pads on my 88 for a while now. Most of my riding is in city traffic commuting to work, so the brakes get a workout. I have about 12K miles on them and there is no appreciable visible wear of the rotors. The stopping power over the OEM pads is night and day and worth the cost down the road. I have had to make several panic stops over the years, and don't think I would have made the stops in time with the OEM pads. EBC does make new rotors to fit the 1st gens. I've been thinking of picking up a set one by one and put them up on the shelf, just to have for someday.
  12. For what it is gonna cost you to replace the mercury you could just buy a new Morgan carb tune and never have to worry about spills or a liquid getting sucked into the engine ever again.
  13. If the ran like that I bet they would sell better.
  14. OR since she was born raised and always lived in the USA but is of Mexican decent, maybe he spoke to her in Spanish and she didn't understand him. It will be interesting to know the rest of the facts as they come out. I like to think I know how I would react with my cage in a similar circumstance.
  15. Is it not Honda that has a unicycle looking thing that can go forward and backward and sideways?
  16. I'm not quite, sure but I do not think that that car is entirely stock.......
  17. :sign yeah that:
  18. Hmmmmm I never even heard of it. Guess now I will have to watch it. Tried the link but the filters here blocked it as a porn site.
  19. They are simply hacking anything they can get into. As their skill grows they will get into more and more secure systems, till they finally make it into something that can do some real damage.
  20. Congrats Good to hear all are doing well
  21. That ain't it at all. Seal it up in a bag of uncooked rice for a month.
  22. The springs do not die from mileage alone, they also die of old age. Those springs have been holding the weight of the bike up for 25 years now. Whether it was ridden or not the springs are still working to hold up the weight.
  23. Yes I think you are right. The solid form of H2O is not usually the issue by its self, it is the crystallized form that can then turn into the solid form that is the real issue. There have been reports of crystallized oxidane coatings in Wisconsin already this fall. If this trend continues I think the leak may stop soon. A liberal application of crystallized dihydrogen monoxide may also stop the leak.
  24. Two different animals here. Some of the trailers do not have a swivel on the single wheel. Those are the ones that require a U-joint in the hitch so that they can move up and down and turn. If you have a swivel wheel, a U-joint would be a bad thing, it would allow the trailer to swing all over the place and try to pass you up when you hit the brakes or even just swing out till it hits some part of the bike to stop it. With a trailer that has a swivel wheel you still do need the ability to move up and down only to allow for uneven surfaces like entering the DQ driveway. OK that is the mechanics part of what you need to even try it. I am not sure how the swivel wheel will handle behind a bike that will be leaning in the corners. Because as the swivel lets the wheel turn it is also moving it off center which will cause a weight imbalance toward the outside of the turn that will be trying to stand the bike back up. I'm just not sure how that part will work out.
  25. I just can't figure this one out. My bike is going thru gas like crazy. There are no puddles or even spots on the ground. There is no gas in the oil. There are no wet spots on anything. I live 20.2 miles from where I work. I had to stop for gas twice on the way home yesterday. Temps were in the 60s with the sun shining. I get off work at 4:30pm. It was almost 11:00pm when I finally made it home. The leaves are sure getting pretty this time of year. I just can't figure out where all the gas went.......
