  1. No I was not with Bob on this. I started this 2 years ago. Once I sell the ones I have I am not likely to make more unless there is a big enough group buy. They are hard to machine.
  2. I know I can not out run a bear. But I don't have to, I only have to outrun you........
  3. I have run into bears while walking in the woods. We don't have bears that big around here though. The dog keeps the bear busy while I beat feet. Then I call the dog over to me. I do carry a firearm with me at all times but fortunately never had to try to stop a bear. The only critter that I ever had to defend myself from was a coyote that got very aggressive.
  4. All that really matters is that everyone knows that the 1st gens are faster than the 2nd gens.
  5. No its not coffee, its hot chocolate with whipped cream. This is because you can also put whipped cream on either pi or ice cream or both. This ties it all together nicely.
  6. The valve shim tool is the same for a 1st or 2nd gen. In a couple of weeks I may have some available for sale that I made, they are out being tested right now.
  7. Consider yourself lucky:scared:
  8. I have only been thru Indy once many years ago. Everything was under construction and it was a mess. I went thru at 1:00 am so there was not much traffic. At least Indy is small enough that you will not spend a half day there like you would in Chicago, IF your lucky enough to actually make it out of Chicago.
  9. PI? Did someone mention Pi? I like pie.....
  10. Since water splashes 6 feet out of the toilet does that make the toilet as dangerous to a cell phone as doing laundry???? With all that can happen to me, I better crawl back under my rock.......
  11. I live just north of Chicago so if I want to go east or south I either have to brave Chicago or go WAY out of my way to go around it. If you have a choice stay away from Chicago. If you have to go thru Chicago plan it for the middle of the night so that you will be out of Chicago by 6 am. That is what has worked best for me. Given a choice I will never get near Chicago. I have yet to drive through Chicago without someone trying to kill me, literally. It does not matter if I am on the bike or in the truck pulling a big RV. From WV I would think that you are starting far enough south to be able to miss Chicago without going to far out of the way.
  12. There aint enough Dawn in the world to help me..........
  13. You know the drill, be sure to follow the docs instructions. I really hope that this fixes whatever it was supposed to fix. Well I sure hope you can get that carrot removed before you come over here. That could be painful:rotfl:
  14. Also, who pays the heating bill? If you pay your own heat then this could be a very expensive winter. Every place has different ordinances, check with your city hall on what your specific ones are. There are also state and federal regs that come into play here. Where I live, when my house was vandalized the city gave me 30 days to get it fixed or they would condemn the house. This is MY house that I own, not even a rental.
  15. I witnessed a similar incident. I was at a seminar, in a packed hall, At the beginning of the presentation the very first thing the presenter did was ask everyone to turn off their cell phones. About 20 minutes into the speech someones cell phone rang, LOUD, as the guy answered it the speaker stopped and the hall was dead silent except for the guy on the phone. It only lasted a couple of seconds and the female speaker says "Honey, can you bring me a towel, I'm wet and naked and there no towels in this bathroom." The guy on the phone jumps up and runs out of the hall as the entire hall erupts in laughter. The guy never did come back.
  16. I had a 5 inch stainless steel disc under the side stand and the ground was still soft enough that it drove the disk into the ground and still fell over while I was not looking. Even though it was all of the way over past the crash bars, and I had to lift it over the still extended side stand, The butt on the seat and walk it up technique still worked fine.
  17. See, I knew that a wing could rot your brain........
  18. PIZZA!!!! I am a pizza kinasewer. Some how It sounds like I am missing out.
  19. Your right, But I would like to see how that works out........ I'm way to lazy to work that hard. That is why these machines were invented. Maybe try using a cotton ball instead of steel wool, it will cut slower so that you do not accidentally remove to much material....... Be good exercise for thumb wrestling.
  20. Yup, Take the flight if you have the chance. It is a blast, (but then I may be biased)......
  21. Naaa I would just have to cry over all of the toys I can not afford, then my tears would make them rust. Besides, it would require driving/riding in or near Chicago...........
  22. Miles To adjust out .001 out of spec is not anal, its doing what you went in there for. Anal is my getting a surface grinder to add to my basement shop so that I can get shim sizes in between the standard available increments.
  23. Bob missed his chance while he was here last fall. I got a bunch of them tools in the basement Bob was sitting within about 6 feet of them. I have a couple out for testing, as soon as I hear back that they worked OK I will sell all of my extra ones. Carl If you already did your valves then how are you going to test the tool that I sent you? I am finally working on building my surface grinder so that I can make custom shim sizes if needed.
  24. I think Miles is correct that the sensor reads the pinion. This was discussed in a thread last week that will hopefully shed some light. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=75566 Your 15K+ miles so far this year certainly has me beat......
