  1. But that Bruce Willis died taking out that asteroid. And the shuttles have been decommissioned. Glad I'm not near Maryland......
  2. It does make one wonder what the plan would have been if that asteroids path was 18,000 miles to the right.......
  3. Dang I still have so much winter work to do. I don't have time to be bored. If spring comes early again this year I'm in trouble. Wander on over, I'll give ya sumpin to do.......
  4. I did an RSVP for each day since I will not be able stay the whole time.
  5. Thats the one. I was at work and did not have time to find it. Thanks.
  6. NOOOOOooooooo........... Its to soon. That might mean that it will hotter than all he11 again this summer. Bring back the :snow2: :snow2: :snow2: :snow2: :snow2: :snow2:
  7. Thats just a little worm........
  8. I did notice one common thing in all of those loading fails, and a few more that popped up while I was on YouTube. EVERY bike fell to the left.
  9. OH BOY!!!!! Using a tire sealant ranks right up there with asking about oil, tires, politics and religion. Give me a minute to get my pop corn popped............
  10. If you can post some dimensions I can calculate the ramp length needed to get up on your trailer without high centering. Trailer height Wheel base Front tire diameter Rear tire diameter. Distance from ground to lowest point near center of bike with you on the bike. Based on what I think these numbers are, an 8 foot ramp will be plenty long to not high center.
  11. Aint that why real bikers have green teeth, from filter out the bugs.....
  12. OK here is my thought. I do not have one so I am just going by the pic you have posted. With the lift all of the way down drill a hole in the frame for a safety bolt or pin that will prevent it from opening up while leaning against the wall. Set up a spacer about 5.5 inches (the width of a 2X6) out from the wall to act as a stop. push the end of the lift that holds the front wheel up against your stop. Set up a small block and tackle (double pulley on top and single pulley on bottom) from a point on the wall higher than the length of the lift and usr that to hoist it up vertical and leaning against the wall. (You may need to adjust your spacer to accommodate the actual CG of the lift). Once it is standing up have a chain or bar across the lift to secure it in place. Lifting it like this should not cause any issues, the jack will be in the normal upright position so there should be no leakage issues. If the table is strong enough to hold up your bike then it is more than strong enough to hold up its self.
  13. Plan on pulling off both mufflers. The right has to come off so that you can slide out the axle and the left has to come off if you are going to use a socket and a torque wrench to reinstall. You need the back end of the bike way up high to get the wheel out from under. There is a thread somewhere on how to remove the rear wheel if you do not have a lift. That is the method that I have to use.
  14. If I am traveling any long distance I will have the trailer. I built a small gas can rack that I keep a 1 gallon gas can. Last year on the way home from MD I hit a stretch where I was pulling the trailer at 75mph into a 40+mph head wind, I went thru a full tank in just 75 miles and made the next gas stop on fumes, It took 4.9 gallons into my 5 gal tank. I was sure glad that that jug was back there even though I did not quite need it.
  15. I rate Culver's like DQ. Good Ice Cream but terrible food. But then almost all Ice cream is good.
  16. That would be my worry to. As you are pushing it sideways if a wheel gets stopped in a hole or on a pebble it looks like it would be easy to tip the bike over.
  17. When I get a chance to take the course I will have packed a spare clutch setup. I know there have been a few of our members that have cooked a clutch learning the friction zone.
  18. A heads up would have helped, especially if it had the link for the ability to turn it off if you do not like it. What I don't likeabout it was there were so many things highlighted that when someone does put a link in their thread it will get lost in the clutter or worse yet redirected. I was very worried when it first appeared not knowing what it was. I really thought I had a bug and spent a lot of time running deep scans to trying to find it. Now that I know it is not malware and that I don't have to look at it if I don't want to I have no problem with it being there if you would like to see if it can actually generate any revenue. I did not mean to start a fire storm. Sorry about that.
  19. Why does Big Tom not go out and get your car ready to go for you???? Whats a garage???? :confused24: All of my toys sleep out in the snow and cold and rain...... Is that not how the world works? Am i missing something here? :crying: :crying: :crying: :crying:
  20. Locally the best fast food is Nite Owl butter burgers. The kind where you want to roll up your sleeves because the butter (not fat, real butter) will be running down your arm the small burger is a 1/2 pounder. They also are a fantastic ice cream stand. As far as national chains go, it would have to be the Whopper from Bugger king.
  21. The way that you have it wired will not hurt or reduce the life of anything.
  22. I went to several local gun shops today. The shelvs look like they are in the middle of a going out of business sale. LOTS of empty shelves and display cases. Anything even remotely common is gone. Several dealers will only sell a max of 2 boxes of ammo with a gun purchase. No ammo sales without a new gun. One dealer told me that people are coming in and buying out the 9mm at $30 for a box of 50 and taking it to gun shows and getting up to $80 per box. Its nuts out there.
  23. Mama Here are 2 places that still have some 38 special in stock. I buy stuff from both places and they are both reputable. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/browse/ammo-pistol-38-ammo.aspx?c=95&s=926 http://www.midwayusa.com/find?sortby=1&itemsperpage=20&newcategorydimensionid=15448
  24. And it is all supposed to slide to the north and miss us again. We are supposed to just get a lot of rain and wind.
  25. Its not just ammo that is getting scarce. I reload for most of what I shoot. The reloading supplies are just as scarce and the prices of whats left have gone just as nuts. even the less popular stuff is out, like 6.5mm bullets, and 7mm bullets.
