You said the motor moved a little, did it stop feeling like it hit something or just get stuck? Did this motor seize up while running or just from storage?

As mentioned, some whine is fairly normal. But as loud as you describe, and that loudness just started, sounds like something that should be looked into. When the dealer said that the whine is normal, did he ride it to hear what you are talking about?

If your RPM can change by 500 with no speed change then you have a slipping clutch. If you fix it right away you can usually get by with just a spring and a gasket and a half hour of your time. If you wait till it gets worse, you may need a whole new clutch. Carbs are blue smoke and mirrors, I cant help you there.
